SBI Cppc — Delay in sanctioning pension to the wife under family pension on death of the original pensioner.

Sir,
My father walimohmamad gilani, shaheed colony, yavatmal, maharashtra was receiving the central govt. Freedom fighter pension since 2003, pension was deposited in his a/c at state bank of india main branch, yavatmal. He passed away in nov. 2014. We submitted a letter to that effect along with death certificate to the sbi on 22/12/2014.& also submitted details of family pensioner mrs. Meherbanu gilani (Wife). S bi received letter from cppc, belapur on 9/2/2015 saying that the applicant needs to attach annexure iv, vi, etc. To enable them to open family original pensioner a/c. W e submitted all documents namely —
A) forwarding letter of sbi yavatmal
B) application for grant of family pension on death of pensioner. A annexure xxiv
C) life certificate annexure a
D) non employment certigicate
E) certificate of non re marriage
F) death certificate of original pensioner
G) application for transfer of pension to widow annexure iv
H) certificate regarding marital status annexure vi
I) declaration on employment/independent income annexure vii
J) letter o[censored]ndertaking, annexure xii
K) copy of ppo
L) nomination registration of the family pensioner at sbi, cppc
M) i. D. Card issued by collector to the family pensioner
N) self attested phone numbers of the family pensioner
O) aadhar card of family pensioner
P) copy of pass-book of original pensioner
Q) copy of pass-book, sbi of the family pensioner
The bank sbi sent all documents after verification to cppc on 10/4/2015
Again cppc sent a letter to sbi yavatmal on 13/5/2015 saying that as per decision it is decided to open all central govt freedom fighter a/c with bank of baroda cppc. They returned all documents of the pensioner to sbi & sbi received it on 21/5/2015. T he family pensioner had no knowledge of the same & there was no intimation from the sbi bank nor the cppc to the pensioner. She is an old lady 79yrs. Old, how can she keep visiting banks so often. It become es the responsibility of the bank or cppc to inform.
Then the family pensioner approached the bank of baroda for a/c opening, they too had no knowledge of what the procedure was & what documents needed to be submitted, & therefore it took a long time for them to gather & send the documents to bank of baroda cppc.
Again bank of baroda cppc returned all the documents on 2/4/2016 saying that they have not received the ppo of pension from sbi & requested to apply through proper channel. T his was inspite of the fact that we had submitted all documents to sbi & cppc belapur mumbai on time i. E immediately on death of the original pensioner.
Then i called up the cppc, sbi belapur, to tell them the facts, but they say now it is time barred & u need to approach the ministry of home affairs for sanction. Also now they say & accept that they have received the ppo also.
So please, request the cppc sbi & also the pension dept. Of home ministry to pl. Look into the matter & do the needful at the earliest, because it has already been two years since the pension has been stopped for no fault of ours. The procedure was delayed due to the confusion created by the ministry of home affairs, pension dept letter transferring the a/c to other banks, & the bank's not knowing g the procedures for doing so, & ultimately the cppc not informing the pensioners of the same. There seems to be huge lack of communication between the bank's & govt. Depts. & cppc & the pensioners.


Pl. Note that the family pensioner is eligible for the pension right from the death of the original pensioner nov 2014. Because the delay is from the side of the bank's, cppc & pension dept. Ministry of home affairs.

With respect to the above complaint SBI CPPC, the complaint also needs to be forwarded to the CPPC I.e central pension processing centre of State Bank Of India at C B D Belapur, New mumbai, which is solely responsible for the same.
