[Resolved] SBI — SBI Debit Card: Not getting OTP | |||
Hi, I am SBI customer at IISc, Bangalore branch. Recently I got mail in my id linked to SBI a/c about 10% cashback offer in SBI debit cards. I tried banking using my debit card but found I'm not getting OTP. However I never had any problem using online banking for shopping and transactions. I tried contacting via customer care services but they asked me to visit my bank. I went to bank, and they asked me to update again my contact details (mobile, address etc.) for my card. Apparently I had already updated this for my online banking but they say you've to write separate applications for online banking and debit cards. (It makes no sense because my card is essentially linked to my bank). I did so and they said it'll be activated in 1 hour and I'll be getting OTP. It didn't work and I visited bank again. They again asked me write separate application that I am not receiving OTP. I did same but it has not activated yet. The bank officials say it might take 3-4 days to activate just OTP services. I find it very strange that when my online SBI is working well, it takes so much effort to get my card working. Hi, im ramachandran im not getting otp for my sbi debit card which was working properly, i tried to use my old otp which was not getting typed and when i request for new otp im not getting any password but its showing it has been sent please help me my no is bsnl [protected]

WHENEVER I TRY TO RECHARGE MY MOBILE OR PAY ONLINE BILL BY SBI DEBIT CARD THE OTP NUMBER IS TAKE SO MUCH TIME. I RECEIVE OTP AFTER 1/2 HR BUT ITS VALID ONLY FOR 10 MIN FROM TRANSACTION THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS GOT FAILURE TO RECHARGE OR PAy BILL

I get my otp delay by 1/2 hour that make me unsuccessful to any kind of transfer of fund and others activities. Plz solve my problem.
Problem solved, just contact your bank and ask them to remove 91 from your registered mobile number, 91 is India's country code, make sure only 10 digit they have as your mobile number, i was also having same problem, they removed 91 from my registered mobile number and then i started receiving OTP.

I'm not receiving SBI OTP either for adding a new beneficiary or to transfer online. I contacted the bank and they asked me to download "SBSecure OTP" app, and by that way i can avoid receiving OTP. But later only I realised that in order to register in that app, I again needed OTP. I'm staying abroad and using my Indian SIM card to transfer amounts online. So it's not easy to contact bank every time. I should ask some body to go the branch every time. Somebody can help me?

I too had the same issue of OTP, I was trying to do the NEFT Transaction from last 3 days, OTP is not generating.
I am currently in abroad, cant visit the branch, Alrready raised the complaint.

I also have another bank account like Standard chartered, Kotak but I never had the OTP issues.
State Bank is one of the worst bank in India.The people still relying because it's a Government Bank.
IRCTC -Ticket reservation is very tough because Goverment.
SBI-Transaction being a challenging part.
