Shine.com — "refund denied, services forced shine.com disregards customer consent

I am Deswin Jose, and I am raising this complaint against Shine.com (HT Media Ltd) for activating multiple services without my permission, despite my repeated written communication clearly stating that I do not wish to use any of their services.

On 15th May 2025, I made multiple payments totaling ₹45, 544.01, after being misled by Shine.com’s representative into believing each payment would be the final one. However, services were activated continuously without providing full clarity on charges or structure.

I immediately contacted Shine.com via email — including their grievance email ([protected]@shine.com) — clearly requesting cancellation and a full refund. Instead, they offered a partial refund of only the last payment (₹17, 828.01), which I have not accepted, as I am seeking a full refund for all five payments.

Despite all this, Shine.com has continued to activate the following services without my consent, and is now pressuring me to “utilize” them instead of resolving the issue:

Application Highlighter

Employment Verification

Education Verification

Negotiation Skills Course

Communication Skills Course

Resume Writing Service

Jobs on the Move Service

These services were not requested or approved by me. I had already made it very clear in writing that I do not want any services, and this ongoing behavior from Shine.com shows a complete lack of respect for the customer’s consent and communication.

They are forcing services instead of offering a solution, and treating my repeated written objections with zero value.

My Request:
✅ Full refund of ₹45, 544.01
✅ Cancellation of all services
✅ Written confirmation of refund and closure of all Shine.com activities on my profile

If this is not resolved immediately, I will proceed with a police complaint, consumer court case via e-Jagriti, and public complaint across social media and consumer platforms.
