My name is Aman Chauhan, and I am writing to bring to your attention a serious concern regarding a series of services I purchased from Shine.com, which I believe to be fraudulent. I would like to formally request a refund for these services.
On October 18th, 2024, I received a call from Shine.com offering an “Improved Visibility Package” for 6 months, promising enhanced profile visibility, custom job suggestions, and direct resume submission to recruiters fitting my profile. I paid ₹5, 908.92 for this package. However, since the payment, I have not received any communication or the benefits promised as part of the package.
Following this, I was connected to a senior representative named R.K. Sahu, who assured me that additional services would further boost my chances of securing a high-paying job. Based on his aggressive sales tactics, I made further payments for services labeled as “Education Verification Plus Package, ” “Visual Resume for Experienced Professionals, ” “Job Profile Verification Plus Package, ” and “Professional Summary, ” totaling ₹10, 094.73 and ₹17, 125.72. I was told that these services would include employment and educational verification, professional resume rewriting, job suggestions via WhatsApp, and direct referrals to employers—all of which were never delivered.
Despite my reservations, R.K. Sahu pressured me into making additional payments, citing my earning potential as justification. He claimed I could expect a job offer with a salary between ₹35-45 LPA and that I would benefit from exclusive job opportunities not publicly available. Under duress, I made further payments amounting to ₹25, 319.94, ₹29, 847.09, ₹32, 233.92, and ₹31, 455.85. This brings the total amount paid to an exorbitant sum, and I have not received any of the promised services in return.
To date, there has been no communication from your team, no resume rewrite, no professional summary, no job suggestions via WhatsApp, and no interview opportunities. The verification process, which was promised to be conducted via government websites, was done through a private vendor. This entire process has been highly deceptive, and I believe I have been misled and scammed.
I kindly request that Shine.com refund the full amount I have paid for these services, as none of the promised benefits have been delivered. Please consider this a formal complaint, and I urge you to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution to this issue.
