South Central Railway — Non Maintenance of Train Timings and NOT allowing Senior Citizens to avail ticket concession while buying tickets

Dear Respected Sir,

I submit that I purchased a journey-cum-reservation ticket PNR #[protected], PNR #[protected] dated[protected] for journey from Nagarsol to Secunderabad in Nagarsol to Tirupathi Express (07418) in 3AC - B3 coach (the coach name was not displaying B3 instead it was displayed as BE1, very confusing). We were 11 members in total and among them 4 were senior citizens, 4 adults, 2 children below 12 years and two 1 year old kids.

On 28th January 2017, we waited on Platform No.1 at Nagarsol Railway Station well in advance to board the said train scheduled departure time 2200 hrs. We enquired with the Station Master whether to board the train stationed on Platform No.2? The Station Master informed that the train would come to Platform No.1 and then only to board the train.

The said NSL-TPTY Express (07418) arrived on Platform No.1 at 21.58 hrs and started immediately at scheduled departure time ie., 2200 hrs allowing the passengers to board the train only for 2 minutes. The train driver should be aware that Nagarsol is the starting point for the pilgrims visiting Shri Shirdi Saibaba temple and should give enough time to passengers to board the train.

Due to starting the train, even without giving sufficient time to board the train in heavy rush, particularly old people like us with great difficultly, risking our live, we boarded in the nearby compartments of the running train.
Further, we booked our reservation tickets on 26th January, 2017 from Nagarsol Railway Reservation Counter, where the duty clerk didn’t consider senior citizen concession on our tickets (4 adults). Also were allotted middle and upper berths without considering our age (2 male and 2 female), while it is so, the concerned authorities allotted lower berths to others than Senior Citizens who booked tickets after our bookings.

I therefore, request that necessary action may kindly be taken against the crew members (Station Master, Train Driver and the Booking Clerk) for not allowing the passengers to board the train safely without giving sufficient time and for not considering senior citizen concession and allotting upper and middle berths.

I pray that steps may kindly be taken to see such irregularities and inconvience are not caused to the passengers in future.
