My wife was searching for a travel agent on Sulekha to book flight tickets. Anil Kumar (Radisson travels) registered on & verified by contacted us. He gave us some flight options. We chose one option and he asked us to pay INR 24, 542 (25% of total ticket amount) to block and book tickets. He said the total flight fare would cost INR 98, 171 for the two o[censored]s, after discount. Since he was registered with Sulekha, we sent him INR 24, 542 (on 30th Sep 2019), and agreed to pay the rest by going to his shop directly. He sent us an e-ticket the next day, without any e-ticket number. When we checked the tickets online using the PNR, we got to know that the tickets were not confirmed.

My wife called him asking for a confirmed ticket. He said he would send us the confirmation soon, else he will refund our money. But he did not do either.

On calling the airline (Singapore Airlines), we were told that the tickets were not booked. On Oct 2, we went to the address mentioned on There was no such shop in that area. We tried contacting the person after that, but there has been no response.

We registered a complaint with Sulekha the very same day (Oct 2). The case number is 2563736. The customer care agent informed us that there was an existing complaint on Radisson travels. We spoke to Rifaaq Ahmed and Jignesh. We asked for help to track this fraud travel agent.

Please note that this travel agent is listed on, and it is also claimed that it is verified by (Even today-16th Oct, 2019 this listing is not removed from If Sulekha had done proper background check on him, this fraud wouldn't have happened.

We have been on multiple calls after that, and spoke to the customer care executives of Sulekha. When we asked Rifaaq Ahmed to share Anil's ID/address proof with us, he said he would send passport details (first page only, as does not even have the address page of the Passport), but he still hasn't. Today we spoke to another executive called Sharath. He doesn't seem to be helping us in any way. He also claims that Sulekha does not have his ID at all. The customer service executive mentioned that has taken INR 500 and registered the agent on the website without any background verification. (You may listen to the recorded calls).

As an online portal who gave our details to the fraudster in spite of a complaint already registered against him, has to track the person and help us get our money back. Alternately, Sulekha will have to refund our money since it was Sulekha's mistake that the agent got our details in the first place.

Such negligence on Sulekha is not acceptable. They list fraud travel agents on their site without even doing the necessary verification, for a meager sum of Rs. 500.

We regret to say this but, Service Providers and Users are completely responsible for working out the exchange and performance of services. Sulekha is not responsible for any non-performance or breach of any contract entered into between the Users and Service Providers, since it is beyond the control of Sulekha.
