Swiggy — complaint regarding missing expiry date on delivered product and request for refund/replacement

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a recent purchase made through Swiggy Instamart, wherein I received a product without a clear expiry date. The details of my order are as follows:

Upon delivery, I discovered that the product did not have any expiry date mentioned on the packaging. As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, it is mandatory for consumable goods to have proper labeling, including manufacturing and expiry dates. The absence of this crucial information raises concerns about the product’s safety and quality, and poses a potential health risk to consumers.

I contacted Swiggy Instamart’s customer service to request a refund or replacement, but they refused to provide any resolution. I am therefore left with no choice but to seek redressal through this consumer complaint.

In light of this issue, I kindly request the following actions:

Refund or replacement of the defective product.
Investigation into Swiggy Instamart's quality control practices to ensure that products sold comply with legal standards for labeling.
I have attached all relevant documents, including the order receipt, photographs of the product, and the communication with Swiggy’s customer service. I hope that the Consumer Forum will take prompt action to ensure that this matter is resolved in a timely and fair manner.
