I ordered food from KFC through Swiggy, which included:
• Big 12 Chicken Bucket – 1
• Spicy Zinger Burger – 1
Order Total Paid: ₹1120 (via bank)
However, the Spicy Zinger Burger (₹229.52) was missing from the delivered order. I raised a complaint through Swiggy support. Instead of refunding the full amount I paid, Swiggy gave me only a ₹178 coupon, which:
Does not cover the full price of the missing burger
Does not refund the taxes charged for the burger
Is not a monetary refund, but forces me to spend more money again
Since I did NOT receive the burger, I should NOT be charged for the item or its taxes. Swiggy has refused to refund the amount back to my original payment method.
This is deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
I request the following resolution:
Full refund of the missing Spicy Zinger Burger (₹229.52) including taxes
Refund to be issued back to my bank, not as a coupon
Suitable action against Swiggy for not resolving the issue properly
