I am Kuzhali Parameswaran, writing to lodge a formal grievance regarding a pricing discrepancy in my recent order placed through Swiggy.
On Order ID[protected], I purchased a Plum Cake from Adyar Ananda Bhavan, Triplicane. The product was listed at ₹599/-, and after discount, the payable amount reflected was ₹428/-. However, upon delivery, I observed that the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) printed on the product packaging is only ₹450/-, which is substantially lower than the listed price shown on the platform. This discrepancy has resulted in an unjustified excess charge. To substantiate my claim, I have uploaded images of the product and invoice. Despite contacting Swiggy Customer Care, I have not received a proper resolution. I was further advised to escalate the matter via email, but the designated email channel appears to be non-functional.
This issue constitutes misrepresentation of product pricing and falls under the ambit o[censored]nfair trade practices as defined under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
In light of the above, I respectfully request that you:
- Initiate an appropriate refund upon return of the product, or
- Provide a replacement with the exact product valued at ₹599/- as per the description. I urge you to address this matter promptly and ensure compliance with consumer protection norms.
