I placed a food order through the Swiggy app on 9th April 2025 from Akarsh Pride Restaurant at around 1 PM. While entering my delivery address, due to Swiggy’s auto-suggestion system, the address was mistakenly recorded as a nearby but incorrect location with a similar name.
As soon as I realized the issue, I contacted the delivery partner to inform him and requested that he deliver the order to my actual address, which was very nearby. However, he was aggressive, shouted at me, and refused to deliver to my address. He even demanded that I come to the incorrect location, which was not feasible for me.
I called him three times, but he refused to answer my calls. I also informed the restaurant staff, but no help was provided. Left with no choice, I cancelled the order through the Swiggy app. Restaurant staff said money will be refunded in 3-4hrs but i didn't received any money
However, Swiggy charged me a 100% cancellation fee, without any prior notice or intimation, which is completely unfair. Nowhere during the cancellation process was I informed that I would be charged the full amount. This is a violation of consumer rights and misuse of their platform policy.
I am requesting a full refund of the amount paid, as this was neither my fault nor a genuine cancellation by the customer, but rather due to an aggressive and uncooperative delivery executive.
