Sony India LCD TV 32 inches — Bad Product - Worst Service | |||
Bought a SONY LCD TV 32inches from Vijay Sales Ghatkopar branch in June 2013 And faced a black out of the TV in Aug 1st week itself. Now, since Vijay sales said while selling the product, to register the complaint with them first, i dutifully did so. However, nothing came back from them same day. I managed to call Sony customer care when i got my complaint number on phone and then also got to know that it will take 48hrs to adhere to the complaint. In 48hrs no call/sms/email from either Sony or Vijay Sales on where my complaint is and what will happen next. Then i call up the technician who visited my place to check whats happening, on which he said the part has not yet come and will come soon. Couple of days later the technician calls to inform that the part has come and he will be coming by mid noon to fix. But nobody turns up. Next day again i call the service centre to check where the part is, i am informed that the part has not yet come and "will be fixed soon". Nobody turns up for another day. I call up Vijay sales to check if they have any information and to my surprise they did not even have an update on what the issue was, infact they asked me which part was getting replaced, isn't that funny ? I was assured by Vijay sales that there would be a fix of the issue next day by 2pm, however, after my repeated calls without anyone responding back, i get a call to be informed that technician will be there in another 10mins. Parallely a technician calls ( from opp my bldg ) to say that he is here to resolve with the part with him. Finally the part gets replaced, the TV is turned on and to our surprise, the TV blacks out again !! Now, i am told that the TV will be taken to the service centre to get a thorough check and will be returned within by next day 1pm. I do not think a Sony product, bought two months earlier, should get a part replacement and also go to a service centre for a thorough check. These things are to be done BEFORE the product is sold, right ? Also, what role does sales partners like Vijay Sales play here? aren't they equally responsible to handle my issue? And why aren't both the brand and sales partner having a quick response system to keep the consumer informed properly. Was this information helpful? | |||
