I have subscribed videocon d2h platinum HD plan since almost 2 years. Recently some time back the set top box automatically updated itself and all the problem started. Changing the channel became so irritating due to huge lag time from one channel to another. Sometimes as long as 3 to 4 minutes! Especially when i used to run through channels quickly. It was so frustating that all my family reduced waching tv drastically. Another problem is after initial startup i used to get message signal not available, usually in the morning hours. Only after switching STB off and on several times, its possible to watch tv.
initially i ignored these problems thinking that videocon might launch another update and solve it on its own. Since they do not seem to bother much i finally decided to lodge official complaint. 1st call to videocon d2h customer care went like this. some rowdy exec. picked up call. When i told these problems his 1st reply was that i will have to pay rs. 450 for STB. That dumb rowdy person didnt even paid attention to my complaints and continuosly asked me to pay rs. 450 for STB even after me telling him repeatedly that i have valid service warranty.Finally when i told him to kindly give me complaint no., He curtly told me that i will receive SMS containing complaint no. and it will be addressed within 24 hours. He abruptly cut the call. Not surprisingly, neither i got any SMS about complaint nor did i receive any call from videocon. of course no question of complaint getting addressed! Instead videocon used this opportunity to send me SMS containing some offer though i am registered for DND. Such a cheap and disgusting attitude towards customer complaint! Next i gave another call to videocon, had to repeat entire complaint again after which exec. told me that an engineer will visit in 24 hours and i will be charged rs. 150. Again i told him about my service warranty. To my horror, he plainly refused that i have any warranty! this is despite the fact that i posses a document stating service warranty of 3yrs valid currently. Finally i told him to send engineer to whom i will show warranty.
Engineer came next day. I narrated him all complaints again. He checked tv and acknowledged complaints. The way he tried to solve them was a complete let down. He tried solving problems by reducing the resolution of HD channels from 1080(full HD) to 480! My god! Why the hell am i paying videocon such a huge sum if i have to watch HD channels in low resolution??? As expected, it didnt solve any problem. The guy called up someone, possibly his EXPERT SENIOR, that it failed to solve problem. He was then probably asked to replace and check the STB. BUT the guy didnt even had one. Imagine you are troubleshooting STB complaints and you do not even care to bring one! Now in his attempt to fool me, he tried replacing power adapter to show me that he actually did something. After that showdown he took smart card out, rubbed it on his pants and placed it again. After all his moronic attempts, he finally tells me: Your smart card problem is solved. WHAT THE HELL!!! Who told you there was any problem with smart card. After i pointed him out this fact, he still repeated multiple times that how intelligently he solved smart card problem( by rubbing it on his pants). Must be some kind of magical pants!
When i confronted him repeatedly about actual problems, his reply was iconic. YE PROBLEM UPER SE HAI. MAI KUCHH NAHI KAR SAKTA. Ironically he was sent from UPERSE, form videocon itself.
Since i realised it was beyond his remedial power of magical pants, i asked him to go and thought of complaining again.
Next day he called me again and asked me if he can check by replacing STB, i told him ok but at particular time when i am home. He immidietly refused, told me that he wants to visit now and change it.
Later i got another call, from videocon coordinator Dinesh Prasad. He Asked me same thing. I told him clearly that whatever work you want to do, do ot in my presence. He then told me that my complaint will be closed and i will be charged rs 150. Again i had to narrate him about warranty. It was such a tormenting experience.
SO BASICALLY VIDEOCON DIDNT SOLVE ANY PROBLEMS AND CHARGED ME RS 150 FRO NOT DOING ANYTHING AND DESPITE HAVING VALID SERVICE WARRANTY.

    Dear Team, I was really excited when I have thought of installing D2H - HD set-up box with the kind of offer provided by your call center and therefore I have immediately disconnected my Tata Sky which I was using for last four to five years. The original offer provided by the dealer in the Pune was Rs 1800 hd + 1 month subscription free. However, the offer provided by D2H call centre was Rs 2200 Hd+ two months subscription free. Considering, the offer I have opted for D2H and finally it got installed at my place on 29 July 2014. To my surprise, my connection got disconnected on 20 August 2014 stating that there is no balance. Then I have called call centre and I have been informed that they will check and confirm the status within 24 hours. Now it is almost 4 days (96 hours) I have not received any feedback on two months free subscription. Having stated above, I have received around 25 to 30 missed calls from D2H call centre to make payment for activation. These were MISSED CALLS. I think D2H is more interested to TROUBLE ITS CUSTOMER RATHER THAN serving its customers. Also, in one of the discussion with D2H, I have been provided with a break-up of Rs 2200 as below: 1) Rs 1350 for hardware 2) Rs 150 for installation and other 3) Rs 540 for monthly subscription and 4) Rs 160 balance in my account. If Rs 2200 includes one months subscription, then how come my connection got disconnected on 20 August 201 when it was original installed on 29 July 2014. I think for D2H month is of 20 days instead of 30/31 days.

      My D2H product is getting frequent restart, for this i called customer care on 21-Aug-2014. The reply was that Videocon engineer will come with in 24 hrs. On 22-Aug-2014, i again called to the customer care and asked what is the time or when the engineer will visit. They said that your complaint has been closed. They will reopen the complain again and they gave a request no:[protected]. Then again on 23-Aug-2014 again i called to customer service, they replied the same thing and again reopen the complain with a new request no:[protected] My customer ID is 66173802.         My d2h was not working so made a complaint to videocon d2h and asked for repair of my d2h. Then the next morning when i saw a cable was loose and i tightened it and so device started working. Then after sometime the engineer from videocon called and said that i[censored] don't require an engineer then also you will have to pay rs150 and the next day they deducted rs 150 from my d2h balance. But when the videocon agent was saying about complaints then he didn't mentioned that after complaining it can't be removed or cancelled. But because of their fault i faced a problem. Videocon d2h is a fraud and he doesn't listens to customer. They are cheat. The videocon d2h toll free no is [protected]

          We have order 5 nos mobile set
          (INTEX AQUA Y2) ref. order no. [protected] on dt. 09/08/2014 for 3 nos and order no.[protected] on dt. 09/08/2014 for 2 nos.

          I have received only one nos mobile set on each order (total 2 nos received out of 5 nos) on dt. 12/08/2014. I am regularly follow up with your customer care no.

          You are requested to please help me to get my product or refund my money back.

                As per the above statement the prodcent VIDECON LED 32 inceh TV having the BILL NO[protected] and customer code no M.N.G. 33149 pureshased on[protected] got a problem of audio sound with in the 4 months of pureshase. for the same complaint was booked iuretnre meehanie was sent and he told the problem of mother board and gone a assurance of replaing it.

                after 25 days when mother board was replaced it was told us that are the softwears of the T.V are malfunetioning told by the Mechanic as wecl the chairman Mr.khallel becase of this we returneal the T.V which was pureshased on[protected] back to the shouroom and the LED T.V has bun replaced with the new one after 15 days having the model no VJE 32 FH- KOA/DVB, but within 4 months even this L.E.D T.V got a same prablom of Audio sound.

                when we brought this matter in to the notice of company customer care one mechanic ingeenier was sent and he once again told the problom of mother board and gave the reassurauce of replacement in the same way it was replaced within 15 days but the problom got inereascd in the L.E.D T.V after the replacement. this matter has bun bronght to the notice of showroom chairmen Mr khaleel by a phon call on[protected] he assured that he will discurss with the related persons and some the problom but there after we dint get any response from him so on[protected] when I called back again got a ansere of not yet discrssed by all the above mather there occnred a problom for us by your branch by the company. ther is 1 year warranty for the T.V so we want you to take back the T.V and we dont want this troublesome L.E.D T.V whieh comes for repain seneral time i.c 2 to 3 manths went for repair itself In the 10 months of purechase
                there for Either take back the replased T.V which is not funetioning and gine us the new 32 inch L.E.D T.V of other company or give us the amount wich we paid i.c 29, 900 with intrest I kindely request you to tack action within 7 days and sohe our problem copy of bill and warranty is attached to this letter we are here by informing you that if problom is made delay to sohve then we are going to complain againest you in the consumer court.

                  i have taken the connection of videcon dth ..i had complaint reg the picture quality ..from yesterday the setup box is not working...today they have sent a technical guy who has replaced the setup box by another old box...i am surprised tat they are not replacing the box by a new one .. i have done a mistake by choosing a videocon dth ...pls replace a new setup box..expecting a immediate soluution

                    I have taken the connectttion of Videocon d2h service 1 year back they have proided an offer that you will get 2 months extra benifits when you will recharge for 1 year do hel with them they have not given me any extra amount and have taken 1 year recharge as a benifit for them and they are again giving an offer that they will provide 30 days extra service if I will recharge for 1 year Totally fake I will deactivate my videocon d2h service

                      Dear Sir, I would like to share here that I am getting very frustrated & annoyed due to very casual & irresponsible approach of your Area head, Mr.Aman Kumar & distributor of Videocon d2h products, Ajmer District, Rajasthan. We had a problem in the Product on 16th July 2014 for which we registered a complaint regarding this directly to distributor, M/s Yogesh Electronics, shop no.4, Near Martindale Bridge, Station Road, Ajmer. The Distributor sent an Engineer namely Mr.Saleem Sheikh to our residence on 18th july 2014 to sort out the problem for which engineer had charged Rs.150/- & told if any problem arises in product within 3 months he will treat it without charging a single penny. Now from last 10 days we are facing a problem of "Signal not available" in our Product & when I again contact to the same distributor he is saying that the engineer will charge again & he gave the no.of Mr.Saleem Sheikh which is not responding. At the same time when I tried to communicate your Area head Mr.Aman Kumar, he also takes the favour of the Distributor. From last 10 days I am very disturbed due to this & my job is also being hampered. This is my final mail to you if this problem will not sort within 24hrs I will register this complaint in CONSUMER COURT.                         I am facing Technical error in Videocon D2H(Cust ID #[protected] since 7th August(Complaint Number #[protected]. I got an SMS on 8th Aug saying issue resolved successfully but It was not. I raised a complaint on 11th August again and I was assured that it will be resolved in 24 hours, I raised a complaint on 12th August again (Complaint Number #[protected]and same thing was promised to me, its been 6 days now I am facing the issue where as Videocon oen SLA is 24 hours, Moreover Technician calls and says he would come in 5 minutes and doesn't appear in 2 hours(I had to wait to go to office). I get my D2H set us 1.5 months back and this is 4th such issue within this period Its clear menal torture from Videcon end.                             I am a consumer of Videocon d2h.My customer id no is 77943190 and I have raised a complain for error messagesmart card not inserted properly (E04) with the customer care department andthe complain number is[protected]. The said error pops up three to four times ina day. Two out of three different engineers who visited to correct the errorhave suggested that the set top box cannot be repaired and we have to buy a newone or replace the existing one. I feel the product given (set top box) is ofvery sub standard quality and the d2h representative are marketing their new productand trying to fool the consumer to buy their new products. It’s a waste of timeto call the call center each time that do the tweaking to the box when theerror pops up. I have already recharged my account till 2016 and hence they aretaking advantage of the situation and not adhering to the solution.

                            I am also facing similar problem E04-4 problem, video con customer care people appointed a technician he suggested we need to change the set top box, please suggest what steps we need to take ???
                            Even I am facing the same. When I called the customer care, they supposedly tried to reset it and nothing worked out on which their usual solution is that they will be sending a technician. Never in my experience of 4 years, has the technician visited in just one call attempt. So this time, I might just get rid of this connection unless you provide me with some solution that worked for you.
                            I am using videocon d2h service since 3 years, since one month I am getting error message E04-4 smart card not inserted properly. Not only me in our complex 5 users are getting same error message 5-6 times a day. Customer care executive is not able to solve the issue, they are recommending engineer visit but we need to Pay 200/- RS for that! I'm paying 750 RS for the HD package and since 3 days I'm not able to view any thing. Their home channels are working fine
                            If any technical problem at our end then nothing should work right? When my neighbour complained they removed home channel too! And for engineer visit they have deducted 400/-RS from the account
                            I have already complained, waiting for their response Orelse will shift to tatasky
                            Me to they want us to pay 200 rs extra almost every two month due to the problem with their box e04-4 or e06 or similare error ... made a mistake purchasing videocon D2H
                            I think we should go to consumer court and submit written application against Videocon D2H and demand to refund our money.

Moreover the moment the weather is cloudy it pops up message that service is unavailable due to "HEAVY RAIN". Now the major concern is why the hell should I pay Rs200 for engineer visit. Its recommended by customer care executive for engineer visit because they are unable to resolve the issue on phone and also these idiots don't know how to resolve the issue. Simply they will ask to remove the set top box. (Have never paid anything in case of broadband failure and anything like that). I am surely moving to consumer court for such kind of service and having business due to human compulsion.

                            You are right Mr Ramesh these idots are unable to provide the support and ask us to pay visit charges and needs to get it rectify mannually, We should charge FIR against these corrupt companies .

                            It ia understood that if system is showing error of E 04 that means no engineer visit is required error is already rectify by system and team should provise us the support on telephone...

                            I have been facing the same problem for quite some time error E04-4 repeatedly. I was told by customer care rep to get it replaced, which will cost me 200 plus 200 tech visit, on top of that i have recharged it.
                            This is not my first time i have experienced with videocon.
                            It has been an on going issue it seems with every one o[censored]s

                            I request we should sign a petetion against videocon for making fool of his customers and asking for extra money and according to me Setup box should always be with lifetime warranty ans we are already paying them huge money every month.

                            I request one should take the initiAtive to sign the petetion ank govt to allow them to pay penality to there users...

                            Even I am facing the same issue. They are asking ne to pay Rs 200 for engineer visit. But my question is if their is any hardware problem setup box, even their own channels shouldn't come. All of Videocon own channel such as Home Channel 1, etc are working seamlessly.

                            Unfortunately I have reachred it by Rs 500 only couple if days back. Once my this recharge is exhausted, I am moving to new DTH provider.

                            Useless customer care who are always trying to leach customers.

                            I am also facing similar issue asking to re-insert smart card every time. After repetitive call, a engineer visited and said smart card has to be changed and it will cost 1000 rupees. After i agreed, he brings a new card and inserts that and later says TV board is gone and it will cost 7000 rupees. How come the home channels were working fine if the board is gone? Last year also i had the same issue and replaced the board. once in a year i face this issue and they are making fool o[censored]s with unnecessary reasons.

                            I Had Been Using Dish Tv 4 Years Back. But My Friends Told Me To Buy VD2H So I Bought It Thinking It's Good. But Later On I Realized That These Cheats Don't Come On Time And Constantly It Shows Smart Card Not Inserted Properly. When I Called The Customer Care They Told Us Engineer Would Visit Us For Free Of Cost. But Then The NexT Day I Gotta Call From The Local VD2H Provider That I Should Get The Set Top Box To Their Office And If I Need The Engineer To Visit My Place I Then I Need To Pay 200Rs. FIR Needs To Be Filed Against These Cheats.

                            I had been facing the same problem(re-insert smart card) since morning. i recharged for 3 months couple of days back. During last 3 years, I have replaced setup box twice and they are asking for Rs.200/-. it is hardware issue and they have to sort it out why we should pay everytime for engineer visit. They are using poor quality of setup box.

                            In my box there is no visible smart card, so I have to restart it at least 10 times a day to get it working.
                            Smart card is inside the box which we can't access to, but somehow it works when we give it a restart.
                            Home channels are working fine and other channel works for not more than 30 min after each restart . If smart card is damaged or not inserted properly then how this channels work?
                            I have not yet called customer care but from above posts it is clear that they are going to charge for it.
                            What should I do guys?

                            दोस्तों मेरे पास आपकी इस समस्या का समाधान है, अगर आपका Set Top Box ये दिखाये कि "smart card not inserted properly" तो सबसे पहले आपको बस इतना करना है कि अपने Set Top Box का पावर ओफ करके जो केबल आपके डिश एंटीना से आपके Set Top Box से जुड़ा हुआ है उसे Set Top Box से निकालकर 30 sec. तक पावर ओफ रहने दें फिर केबल को आपके Set Top Box से जोड़कर पावर ओन कर दें।
                            आपके टीवी चैनल आने लगेंगे।
                            अब थैंक्स बोलने की जरूरत नहीं है।

                            Due to relocation my set to box was disconnected for two days... still I have same problem
                            I am also getting same error since last one month. Initially it was happening once or twice a day but now it comes very often. Home channels and all Vietcong D2H channels are working very fine no issues and no glitches in D2H channels.

                            I have already changed my set top box twice.

                            Customer care executive runs some meaningless processes online and nothing happens with that too...

                            they say that I have to replace my device which I have already done last year still getting this issue again.

                            I am also facing the same issue. It was working fine till[protected]. Then I was not at home so I didn't recharge. Today after coming back, I rechargedfor lowest monthly package to check, having doubt of such nonsense fooling tricks of Videocon and called customer care for activation.

                            They told me to keep the box running and dial a 1800xxxxxxxxx number so they will start the stuffs. But I was waiting for an hour keeping the box in power on status.

                            I called them again and they did some auto power off from their side which didn't take place and they asked me to hard reboot the box.

                            I was having doubt at the time of recharge as I read such stories online of videocon customers and same thing happened.

                            I am sure this is a kind of business they are running to collect the extortion money.

                            I am sure they are going to ask me for 200 Rs for engineer visit and then box replacement and repair charges of 500 so I have decided to move to local cable operator who is giving better services with no such visit charges.

                            I am also going to file a consumer case against Videocon as my brother is having good experience filing the case. You guys can also file as it is not a rocket science.

                            Same issue E04-4 smart card not inserted properly. Suggested for visit to pay 200. I have 2 Connection..planning to replace with other service provider. Now Tata Sky is 200 Dhamaka pack seems good. While I have to 680 for 2 connection. It is good to have 2 connections rather keep on chasing Videocon customer care. Mine id is 24285712

                            I have been using videocon d2h from the past 2 years. Since last 1 month i am getting a E04-4 smart card error. When i call the customer care, they try to reset from backend. However, nothing happens.
                            Moreover, everytime this error comes, they recommend an engineer visit for which they ask to pay a service charge of Rs. 200 + taxes. Now, the question is why the hell should i pay them the charges for an engineer's visit when i am already paying the subscription charges of 500 a month. It should be their responsibility of any problem occurs. We are never asked to pay anything for broadband service or other d2h companies. If the problem is not rectified then i will seriously move to the consumer court.

                            I am getting error E04-4 Smart Card error, When i called your call center I was told that they are running some command in background which will reset the Box, But nothing happend.

                            Then I was told that They will send a Tech to check for this issue, For which I have to pay Rs 200.

                            Last Month, I had same issue for which Tech visited, positioned the disc again Post which My issue was resolved.

                            My concern is that If there is smart card error which indicates Hardware is faulty, Then Why I am able to view Videocon Home channels.

                            Is this some sort of fraud racket that Videocon is running to loot customers.

                            Customer id 78649786 . The Videocon engineer came and replaced the STB because I was getting the same E40-4 smart card error . Still the problem resumes once in every 2 days . He took 600 rupees for that. Now when I called dth, they tell that it had been 3 months by replacing the product . So, you need to pay 200 for engineer visit and separately I have to pay repair cost . What's this ???

                            I have purchased Videocon DDB smart 32'' from Vijay sales at dombivali which has in-built setup box.
                            after 1 year I am getting setup box issue of which raised complaints and they asked to pay 600 Rs but not resolved till 4 months saying parts not available from Videocon side.

                            finally Vijay sales has itself replaced the DDB smart TV.

                            now within a month getting E04-4 smart card not inserted properly issues continuously within a day for which raised the complaints they said no visiting charges as having 1 year warranty too but asking to pay 325 Rs to get it replaced it.

                            I totally got cheated to buy this Videocon d2h as within warranty asking to pay 325 Rs which includes 200 Rs visiting charges hidden too.

                            I totally being cheated and thinking to move to cable or better tata sky, they are real bunch of cheaters and frauds too . My account number[protected].

                              my customer id no 8890819. i had opted for platinum package for one year which includes all the tamil channels.
                              but now i"m not getting jaya tv channels. when i enquired your service through mobile they said i have
                              to pay extra charges inorder to get the channel. when i opted for the platinum package no such options
                              were said bt now if you people have changed your package details then its your problem. how can you
                              ask the customer to pay extra money?. i need the channels for the package as such it was registered on
                              otherwise why cant i sue a consumer case? reply asap.

                                MY CUST ID IS 85336595.
                                There was connectivity issue in my channel and i made a complain to the DH services.they told it will charge 150 re although it was not our fault, then i raised complain to consumer forum and then one of their representative called us and gave confirmation that it will not be chargeable and our representative will come and make it correct free of cost.same had been reconfirmed by the engineer who visited personally.(i got call from this no :[protected] on 23/07/2014 at 10:56 AM ).after all this company has deducted 150rs visit charge from my account.hence this is cheating with customer. do the needful at earliest.

                                  Videocon d2h are big time cheaters and scamsters. Purchased South Silver Sports Pack for 1 year and at the time of purchase said my pack will have price protection and there will be no changes in the channel pack. 1 Month back they removed Big Magic, Cinema TV, B4U Movies, Enterr 10, Dicovery Kids, Dangal and other channels. Called the customer care the same day and the guy started telling all kinds of lies and stories which made me angry & upon raising my voice he started telling sorry and please bear with the missing channels, I asked him connect to his superiors he said yes and the call never got connected and this call isnt toll free and wasted my balance for nothing. Called the CC again again the same story. Now from today morning Times Now is not coming, Says I have insufficient Balance! I Have subscribed it for 1 year. People at Videocon d2h are playing with customers and looting them by scamming. They seem to have an attitude of 'What will/can these will people do if cut down dozen of channels or increase the price'. When I Pay for specified number of channels for a certain period how can they just take out channels and say sorry for the inconvenience! This plain Fraud and Videocon will soon lose all its customers at the same rate that they gained them. Cheaters will have to pay. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER VIDEOCON D2H EVER. EVEN IF THEY ARE GIVING ALL CHANNELS FOR 1RUPEES. THEY WILL TAKE THAT ONE RUPEE AND STOP YOUR CONNECTION. BEGGARS ARE BETTER THAN THESE FRAUDSTERS.                                     I requested for relocation of the STB connection from Bangalore to Kolkata. I was told to bring the box with me and now when I am calling they are saying you have to pay for the antenna for that they are Rs 750. As per then it is understood that antenna should be brought. Customer Care before relocation intentionally not sharing this information so that they can charge for new antenna. Antenna is wall installation which ordinary user cannot move.                                       Hi this is nareshkumar and im using d2h, and today i recharged for 3360 for one year and also one add on channel at 5.45pm. I got a confirmation from my bank side that my money is used for d2h recharge, but still i did not got any confirmation from D2h side. When im calling ur C/S they told that ur recharge will be activate with in 36Hrs. just confirm me when i will get confirmation from ur side.

                                        Hi, my name is Ajit and this complaint is regarding the registration of my mobile number on some one else customer ID. On 1st August 2014 I purchased VideoconD2h online by paying 5970 rs for ROI Gold HD pack. After few hours I got a call from videoconD2h regarding the installation at my place. I was surprised to know that on my mobile number some body else name and address is registered. Even I received the customer ID and work order number on my mobile number of some other person registered with the name of sanju george. After calling so many times to customer care, they finally took my alternate number and created a new customer ID and work order number and maybe today I can get the installation done. Still the previous mobile number registration problem is there and I really dont know when VideoconD2h is going to rectify the problem. The other customer whose customer ID is registered on my mobile number may also be having same problem. I want VideoconD2h to rectify these problem as soon as possible so that in future we dont face any of these problems which really makes the potential customer or existing customer unhappy.
