[Resolved]  Vodafone India — international roaming charges

Hi,

I just spoke to your customer care centre. I was to travel to london on 22nd oct 2018 - i called your helpdesk on 18th oct asking to activate my 10 day ir pack from 22nd oct. My ir pack was activated at 1:12 am on 21st oct. I immediately called your helpdesk to inform that my trip to uk was cancelled and if they could please deactivate the ir pack. I received a deactivation message at 8:06 am. Your customer care executive told me that the pack was deactivated and i will not be charged. Please go back and check your phone records as you record every call.
To my surprise i see a rs. 3500 charge on my phone bill in the next cycle which i refuse to pay. Finally when the next bill came now with a total of rs. 5111 bill i decided to call your cc asking to remove the charge so i can pay my bill. The cc executive says nothing can be done as the ir pack was activated. I ask for a supervisor, he suggests supervisor will say the same thing and if i need a call back i should drop an email.
- i am not going to pay the rs. 3500 which was wrongly charged to my account
- your customer care is terrible and you clearly do not document the conversations with your clients on your system
- i am flying to london in february but clearly because of all this confusion i will look to port my number out to airtel
Please resolve my dispute and close my account. I have been a customer of vodafone for over 6 years but that is clearly not appreciated.
I look forward to receiving a call back.
