Western Railways — Atvm machine unable to read my smart card

The atvm machine is unable to read my smart card which has a balance of around rs.500/- (Wr 9008815). When i complained about this to the concerned station officials at malad west railway station, they couldn't help me saying that the machine shows some fault in the card.
