[Resolved]  Whirlpool — please don't by whirlpool refrigerator - worst service - villupuram

My double door refrigerator is 7 yrs old having compressor fault inspected by a whirlpool technician. I replaced the compressor and relay last year (I paid extra for the relay but relay already available with new compressor) and it is working fine for 3 months and again went to fault. Compressor starts and immediately stops. I checked with a clamp meter and it takes 0.9a while running and it shuts down immediately. I informed this to whirlpool service centre villupuram. But they replaced timer and relay once again. It is working good for just half an hour after that it get faulty again. I visited the whirlpool authorized service centre in villupuram and we have some arguments with them and they finally accepted their issue and inspect once again. This time they replaced the relay with another type and the machine works well. Now after a month, the compressor again stops running and the service people itself didn't respond for this issue. Three time i have raised complaints in online portal. But there is no use of this. I don't know whether this issue is because of service centre / whirlpool, but i am getting frustated with this refrigerator. I spend more than 10k with 2 days leave of mine. Even i just throw my whirlpool washing machine and got lg washing machine. I have the proof for all of the problems i have faced till now. For the cost and time i spent for this, i can buy a new refrigerator without any problems.

No, after two months it has the same problem and the technician confirmed it is due to compressor and advised to replace the compressor. Since I bought the compressor exactly 13 months before that time and so warranty is not covered. Though I was not able to use the replaced compressor. So my suggestion is not to depend on whirlpool's authorized service center as they replaced the compressor and it makes problems and problems and the warranty period was finally gone. Go to the local repair station which handles your refrigerator reasonably.

Finally I bought Haier refrigerator which is running fine without any hassle and also got 10 year compressor warranty and also cheaper than whirlpool. Their customer service is also good.

Hi,

I have been getting unnecessary calls from whirlpool. Even after telling them repeatedly that i am not intrested and not to call again, i have been getting calls from different numbers.
Please stop calling, it disturbs my privacy and is serving as mental trauma to me.
