I had to termiate my connection of YOU Broadband due to shifting reasons.
Therefore, the collection of the company modem(hardware) was done successfully on 18/05/2021 by Mr. Akash Pawar (Emp. ID: 1268635). He handed me a receipt of collection in which it is clearly mentioned that refund of security deposit if any will be done within 15 days of collection. And I was also informed that the refund will be given by a cheque which I will receive by post.
I waited for a month and called the company customer service where they informed me that the process takes 45 days. I said ok.
Today, the date is 01/10/2021, which is officially almost 5.5 months from collection and there is still no progress.
I have called the customer service 4-5 times in intervals of 2 weeks and they always respond with "It is still being processed". Last time, even a higher manager said the same.
I have been tired because I am literally not getting my own money. If we as consumers don't pay a renewal payment, the connection is cut exactly at 12 am. But here they haven't paid me for 5.5 months.
I need help to get my money back with a nominal fine and also demand interest to be paid on the my principal amount.
