Refund of Security Deposit

I had to termiate my connection of YOU Broadband due to shifting reasons.

Therefore, the collection of the company modem(hardware) was done successfully on 18/05/2021 by Mr. Akash Pawar (Emp. ID: 1268635). He handed me a receipt of collection in which it is clearly mentioned that refund of security deposit if any will be done within 15 days of collection. Broadband Internet fluctuation and not availability

Hi team,

I am facing fluctuations so many times and also facing internet service not available related issues almost all the time in my area.
Even you's service is very slow and taking too much time in solving a small issue.

Always trying to get the way out from their issues by saying you have an issue with your router and the same statement i have heard for so many customers. My neighbors have also heard...

Refund process

In jan, 17 i have cancelled my connection and was informed that you office would need a pitied 45days to process refund to me.
I have requested multiple times to do the same at a faster phase, but in vein...
After 45 days i called asking for the refund to receive but they had no clue and time and again you employee keep asking me 8hr call back time and out of my experience in the 30 plus calls i made to you bb, no one ever...

Service is very poor

I had placed request for shifting of the connection to my new house location on 11th Jan2016. Since then i am making them frequent follow ups but the response is very bad. Today is 23rd day the connection shifting not happened....

My internet is not working for last 8 days and no one is responding to my calls / no action has been taken for the complaint. Very pathetic service and very bad for a such a huge company. I regret paying so much money for the company. I want my refund as soon as possible.

      Respected Consumer Forum,

      I had You Broadband connection since 2015. Because of I had been gone to out of India. I disconnected the internet connection from You Broadband.

      After that I came back to India from 2019. I used again You Broadband internet connection again. And also used it during COVID-19.

      I changed my internet provider to GTPL so I disconnected You Broadband. From April 2023, the service engineers from You Broadband came to submit my routers and modems. I submitted 2 routers and 2 modems. At that time, a service engineer gave me the refund receipt and told me to get my refund cheque of 1500 rupees after 15 days from Indian post or courier. I still didn’t receive a cheque from You Broadband.

      Furthermore, I went to the You Broadband office with my refund receipt and then receptionist told me to do online procedure from You Broadband app. But there is no option available to do refund process. They didn’t help me even I had hope from You Broadband office.

      Now I want my refund back as I submitted the devices but they are making exercises and neglect my application. Please help me regarding my matter. Thank You.

        We have an account with You Broadband since 2018.

        The quality of the internet connection has always been average with the connection dropping frequently.

        Our connection is activated as required based on our travel.

        This time we activated the connection on Saturday 2nd September but found that there is water coming through the external cable which is not working as a result. They took 2 days to send someone to check the cable. They confirmed that the cable needed changing in that visit and raised a request at the same time on 4th September.

        It is now 14th September and it is still not fixed. I have called them over and over again - our contact Mr Kazhi, customer care center, area in charge Mr Kokade, another contact given for the area Mr More, Mr Pramod and so on. I have gone to their office in person. I have been told that it has been escalated to the manager TWICE!!
        They have all lied to me over and over again saying it will be fixed that day, in the next half hour, hour etc. We have heard them complaining in the background saying they have only renewed for a month and the cable has to be changed.
        Their infrastructure has failed and they have treated us very badly to simply replace one cable coming into the router.
        Do not take their connection.
        Their staff is under trained and uninformed. Their customer service is non-existent.
        They will take your money and give zero service. Half the month has gone without my getting a single second’s connection. And the clock has started, so I have to APPLY FOR SERVICE CREDIT to get back the 15 days that I have lost!!!

          My net is down 1 to 2 days every week. And whenever we call customer care, we don't get the same answer from there, if we call their service engineer, they give the answer as if they talked to customer care, and if we go to their office, the man there tells us that he has done what happened. Our service will remain the same regardless of how far the customer has come from and where they have used the net. Just because we have given that money, we have become their slaves, those people are treating us like they are giving us net free. Purses any other company's net but don't take it even if it gives you broadband net for free.

            Against my account No 2153887, I paid online Rs 3894/- on 02-05-23 for renewal for 6 months for a higher speed of 100 Mbps from the existing 75. On a demand for a giga router for this, I paid on 16-05-23 in cash Rs 2000/- at their office in Vadodara. It was to be effective from 25-05-23. Despite waiting for over a month and several reminders, new router was never installed. I then terminated the connection and demanded refund o[censored]nutilized portion of renewal charges, old router charges of 750/- and new router (not delivered) charges of 2000/-. I completed all formalities on the you BB site for termination and refund and gave cancelled cheque copy for crediting the refund. The matter is pending with negative attitude from staff.
            Please resolve my problem at the earliest.

                  Have had the connection since Jun 2022. Till now (May 2023) there are 10 recorded complaints with Youbroadband itself that the connection doesnt work.

                  ​Besides this we have called the agent and Engineer who comes to fix the connection a dozen times more to get the connection issues resolved. That is easily 60 to 70 calls for 'connection not working' within a one year span. So you can understand the level of inability of this service. Please know that since the connection has been active, it has worked properly only 20 days every month. EVERY SINGLE MONTH THERE ARE 10 DAYS WHEN THE CONNECTION DOESNT EXIST AT ALL.

                  ​Besides this, every call to customer care, agent, or Engineer is ignored or never responded to. Case in point - is a complaint I raised a week ago that the connection isn't working. Which has still not been resolved and not even been assigned to anyone so far.

                  YOUbroadband is the worst service I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. No matter how many times and how many ways customer tries to resolve issue - the issue is always ignored till the next payment required shows up. So money is all these guys are after. Not service or commitment or customer care.

                      There are too many outages and network disconnection issues that are impacting pur ability to do office work.
                      Customer care is pathetic because during outage you cannot raise a complaint, and once network is back if we raise complaint they respond saying its working now and close the complaint.
                      I have written to nodal officer also often but no response there either.

                          I have been using your internet services for a while, but I had to stop using them because I was moving out. After calling your customer service several times and complaining that I haven't received my deposit after more than 45 days, and that I haven't received any help from you, I now regret having put my trust in such a large company.                             I disconnected my subscriptions with the you broadband and i have handed over their modem and other equipment they provided me during installation, and i have completed there refund procedure online with all my needful documents and details, even after calling there customer care they are not responding proper and telling me cheque of 1000Rs is ready but I don’t know why they’re not refusing to refund

                              I paid around Rs.9912 or annual plan as executive in my area have informed around free dual band router and extra 2 months etc., Post that when I looking for connection they said due to problem with local operator connection is not feasible and asked to apply for refund.                                 Due to some node issue, YouBroadband has not been working since 21st September and resolved on their end on 23rd. Our modem had issues so we still had no connectivity, even after multiple complaints no one showed up. I whatsapped the engineer even raised multiple requests, only to get default support answers.
                                These people are hopelessly bad. We live in an area with little to no network connectivity and wifi is crucial with wfh setting.
