I was waiting for a refund of Rs. 4610-00 plus interest in respect of my returns filed for AY 2010-11. The internet says that the cheque was sent and returned by postal Dept on[protected] as incorrect address. (Ref – CMPP4314640 speed post No EY[protected]IN Refund cheque).
Hence the cover was sent back to dept as incorrect address.
I wonder how come the dept would make such mistakes and now I do not know to whom to contact to get back my refund. For whose fault i need to be keep contacting office to office and whether will the refund cheque come back to me?
I would request the concerned officer to look into the matter and send back the cheque to me (ref given above.

and select tax refund option, provide the year & pan card number and it will show the status of your tax refund.
May be your account number might be wrong and hence they are unable to credit the money. the same happened with me.

I have received IT refund check with wrong account detail.
I have sent back a copy to SBI and IT department for correction,
Now i have not been received any new check and Their representative not responding to the status also and put up the calls saying come personnel and they can not let me know on phone, etc. etc.
