Dear TATA SKY,

I'm disgusted with your ridiculous '90 days lock in period policy'.

How can you bill on a monthly basis and lock in for three months????

This is tantamount to extortion...even though I've got a TATA SKY PLUS connection...I won't give you my business...not a single rupee to TATA SKY anymore.

You'll allow the customer to add channels via sms but won't allow the removal thru sms...what kind of a twisted, contused system is this?

I'll let the more professional, competent, transparent people have my business..even if it costs me more. I'll take my HD connection next from someone else.


Please tell me ASAP the procedure to disconnect TATA SKY PLUS permanently.

I regret the day I decided to buy this crappy product where all the technology is imported from SKY...seriously what is your contribution TATA?

Tata Sky — not installed

LCD was purchased few days back by the name of Vandana Talwar from Madaan Electronics Ambala Cantt-13301 but the tata sky given in scheme is not installed till date even after number of calls and reminders, this is shere a harrassment of custmer, will be going to consumer court, if not installed in 24 hrs.................poor service.....

Tata Sky promised to replace the Set top Box with new Box. The company’s executive keep on giving false promises that the box will be replaced today. I tried to contact the Nodal officer but no body is lifting the call

I was happy to deal with Tata Sky due to the reputation of Sir Ratan Tata but unknowing the bitter consequences of the services and befooling attitude of Tata Sky personnel.


Due to the above mentioned circumstances the Consumer has no other alternate than to file the complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum.

Tata Sky — Not providing installation

Dear Sir,

I have purchased new LED TV and as a offer they have given me the Tatasky HD coupen, i have submitted the coupen details with Tatasky Customer care and they have generated subscriber ID for the same. They are telling Field engineer will give me a call for installation. But no one showed up. I called to Customer care more than 6 times till now still they are not giving the connection.
As per my knowledge there seems to be something going on with the filed engineers, they are not calling/ coming for installation.

Please help me in this regard,

On friday 20th may at 1.15 noon, i called at call centre for new connection, which i got on purchasing Lg plasma 42 inch. All informations were given to customer care executive and they gave me ID. 4 days passed no response from Tata sky, Now I again contatced customer and told me that ID givento me belongs to another person, which is totally harrasment. My contact no. [protected].

Tata Sky — false commitments

I am having Tata Sky connection and they advertise that i have to answer quiz everyday and earn zeetos. These zeetos can be exchanged for toys. I had sent such request for exchange of toys on 3rd March 11. Till date i don't have any information and Tata Sky helpline is not giving proper answer...
I also got same problem about installation of tata sky...My tata sky operator is VISHWAS Agencies Katraj pune district. Once set-top box purchase is over he is not replying to my calls. He told me my installation will be done on sunday or monday morning but from sunday only he stopped responding to my calls. Consumer support is also changing installations dates frequently. Tata sky dose not provide any platform for launching your complaint.
INSTALLATION TIME IS BIG ISSUE TATA SKY !!! DONT PURCHASE IT

Tata Sky & LG — Confirmed Offer not Given

We had purchased LG LED 42 TV on May 28th from Vijay Sales ,Wagle check Naka ,Thane , West .
We were given an offer along with LG TV - TATASKY DTH - installation free & Rs 450 worth Time free ( on Payment of Rs 1000 ) .This was supposed to be given in 72 Hrs .
But even after following up with TATA SKY /Viajay Sales team - for last 15 Days no response from anyone ... Is anyone listening to us ??????
I totally agree with you. We have been subscribing to Tata Sky for more than 2 years now. Recently, when we asked them to provide us a list of channels covered under their annual mega lite package, it took a lot of follow up from our part to get the same. The company is very hesitant in giving out the list of channels. On getting the list, we asked a simple commitment from their side that since we were paying full for the next 12 months in advnace, they would not withdraw any channel included in the package for next 12 months(as we were paying in advance based on the package offered by the channel). It took more than 3 days and innumerous phone calls from their side. The end result was an email stating that Tata Sky has right to withdraw any channel at any time during the next 12 months-even when you have paid for the same in advance as per their package listing!!! TATA name is slowly but surely losing brand value. Mr. Ratan Tata takes pride in TATA Group companies being some of the few honest and transperant companies in the country, and here is Tata sky not ready to provided sevice commitment to the clients even after chaging for the same in advance. The customers are being taken for a ride very cleverly by the company.
I agree. I don't know if you reside in a metro too, but even though I live in Mumbai the service levels of Tata Sky leaves much to be desired. I had opted for Tata Sky over other more established DTH players a couple of years back, mainly because it was backed by the more trusted and respected brand that Tata was. However, in recent times, have noticed that they have gradually lost their way, as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. From the respected brand that Tata carried when JRD Tata was at the helm, Ratan Tata has indeed brought it a long way...down. I hope his successor gives more importance to customer service and builds loyalty, the way it used to during JRD's time and before. Perhaps Mr. Ratan Tata doesn't realize that a satisfied customer is the best marketing tool a brand can have - and no discreet lobbying is required if one's products and services are above board.

Tata Sky — TATA SKY connection free with LG TV is a ponzi scheme

Its been more than 72 hours since I registered with TATA Sky for a new connection. I have already called a few times to the customer care center and every time I get a standard response that someone will call me back but nobody does. This is absolutely a fraud...because the voucher that I have clearly states that TATA SKY contacts you within 72 hours of the application.

Also the click to connect option in TATA SKY website does not work. Its just a rip-off this company. My subscriber id is [protected].

The voucher that I got was from an offer from LG electronics. The two companies are just duping customers with this bait. Moral of the story : TATA SKY connection free with LG TV is a ponzy scheme.

Tata Sky — Tata Sky Installation

I purchased LG- LED TV from Maharashtra Electronics Pune on 27th of may 2011.And I got offer of free Tata sky HD (Free Coupon No- LGW3HD630600) with product. After 2 days I received my Tata Sky ID NO.- [protected] . But till date Tata Sky installation is incomplete. I also talk with customer care regarding my problem several times but didnt get positive responce.

Tata Sky — disgusting service/non response/poor redressal

We had purchased an LCD Tv from e-zone Bangalore on 29/05/2011.
We were given a tata sky HD coupon coupon as gift.

It required to sms the coupon number and the guy will come and install it.
My wife registered it firstly on 2nd June.

After that we have been following up with the customer care and
they just have been telling us that "our technical guy will call you"
This is utter rubbish.
Absolutely horrible service. It’s been more than 20 days and those guys have not reverted.
not a single call.

I am so pissed. I want a monetary refund of that coupon.
Full payment of Rs. 3000 and additional for inconvenience.
And I don’t want their stupid connection.
The validity of that coupon is only till 30 June.

I will write in every possible media to defame Tata Sky of how they are cheating their customers.
I am also registering a complaint in consumer court for take this issue up.

Tata Sky — no signals

I'm using tata sky since last more than 5 yrs (subscriber id [protected]) and now quite often there system (set top box) gets hanged up.

Every time i call there helpline they give me some suggestion (for which they themselves are not sure) and at the end they ask me to book an engineer visit which will cost you.

Once i call up there engineer and he insisted that plz give this feedback that the problem got sorted out itself and just give me 50% of the amt and i'll do it.

This problem occurs quite often and also i have got multiroom connection and this problem comes in either of the two sets.

These companies wants to cheat the consumers and wants to increase there revenue.

Plz leave TATA sky and go for some other service provider who do not wants to cheat there customer.

Tata sky complaint — fraudulent schemes

I am a subsciber of tata sky since october 2010. This month on the 23rd I got a call from them promising 200/- free on 500/- worth of recharge which I got done the next day. Today I got a call from them saying I am not eligible for that scheme. He would'nt give me a valid reason for that either. These people are promoting fraudulent schemes to push people into recharging their accounts for more money. They are just cheats and frauds out to fool people.

Tata Sky — MISUNDERSTANDING IN CUSTOMER CARE DEPT

As per the ad in TATA SKY website i purchased a tata sky connection through online. As per the rules they will install the same within 10 days.Till not installed,daily basis i called up in customer care center and ask for the status,Every time they inform me that our enginier will contact within 04 hrs or 24 hrs.Till not recd any calls from tata sky enginer.

Every day they saying that we will contact me,and two times informed that within 12 hrs we can install the same,
