[Resolved]  Bigbasket.com — Expired Product 2 months past its use date has been delivered

I have ordered NIC alphonso Mango ice0cream along with some other food items from BigBasket on 11th August 2024 (Order ID : EXN-[protected][protected]. All the Items were delivered on same day and I have kept the ice cream in freezer without checking the expiry date. Now on 22nd August when I tried to consume the ice-cream, I have checked the use by date and it was way past its expiry date. The product use by date was 18-june-2024 but big basket kept in its store 2 months past the use by date and yet delivered the same product on 11th August 2024.

As a matter of serious safety concern, they should do aperiodic check of all products in their store and discard all expired and bad quality food. I contacted the serious matter to Bigbasket customer support team so that they will at least discard all these expired products from their shelves. Instead of responding to the safety concern, they tried to be evasive and negligent in the matter by saying customer has reported the issue 48 hours after delivery date. The issue I reported is about keeping the very old and expired products in their store and delivering them to customers without checking priorly, but they are not acting on the serious safety issues.
