Hi, today i travelled from Jaynagar to Jp nagar. I sat in the auto and told him to take me to ragi guda temple JP nagar, he stopped the vehicle opposite to Central Mall at JP nagar saying there is no gas in the auto and i have to get down. The meter showed Rs 42 and I gave him 500, he suddenly changed the note while i was looking for a change of 2 rs in my bag and then he said that I did not give him Rs 500 and instead gave him a 10 rupee note. I could not ask for help as I got panic and left the rick. The auto number was KA05 9860.

I hired an Auto from Highcourt to Cemetry Jn,Cochin. Usually no one is running their Rickshaws by meter in this area. I pay Rs.25 - Rs.30 every time from Highcourt to Cemetry Jn. But Auto KL07BN6195, charged extra(Rs.40/-) even after I said that rest of the people charging Rs.25 - Rs.30. Also I repeatedly said that put the meter. But the driver didn't put the meter.

We 3 girls hired rickshaw from Polka dots Kalyani Nagar around 2 PM. We asked him for Behind IBM complex. Normally by meter it is Rs. 25 approx. but he asked 10 rs per head to which we agreed to pay Rs. 30 in total. He was driving rashly on the road , for this we warned him and then he stopped in between the way and said he will not go further as 30 Rs distance is over. He started talking abusive langauge and started demanding for another Rs 10.

After dirty arguments, he moved his rikshaw little ahead and stubbornly said he will not be moving and we had to get down as it was unbearable to argue with ill-mannered auto-rickshaw driver. We told him that we will lodge complain but he didn't seem to be scared of Police.

We noted down his vehicle no. MH12 HC 2195.

We request you to teach him right lesson.

Dear sir,

I am from a village called coyalmannam (palakkd Dist) Kerala. The very bad thing which i face from our Auto Rickshaw people are charging Rs. 35 in the morning hours and Rs. 40 in the night for 1 and 1/2 km from coyalmannam junction. These people can do anything, so no one can rise any complaint against these people.

Can you please take action against this people.

I have travelled in a auto-rickshaw on 17Th Feb,2013 at ~ 08:30 pm from Star Bazaar, near jodhpur cross road, Ahmadabad to Sadashiv apartments, B/H sachin towers, Satellite, Ahmadabad. At my destination I have checked auto-rickshaw meter and offered him fare accordingly but auto driver forced me to pay Rs:30 whereas as per meter fare was Rs: Rs:22. I refused to pay extra money Then rickshaw driver started shouting at me. I told him I will pay only based on meter fare card. He started shouting loudly at me in public and said many bad words.

I am a regular commuter from Govindpuram/Okhala Metro Station to Okhala Phase -2. There are no auto stand near by. The auto rickshaw driver standing there either refuse or overcharge. There are no other alternative to go but to accept what ever they are asking. I usually get late to office because of this. Mostly the commuters going to okhala ph-2, from these places are ladies and sometimes it becomes very difficult for them as these drivers have union and sometimes they even harrase them.
I request the kind authorities to kindly look in this regard and make proper arrangements so that women going to metro station get relieved from these auto drivers.

Dear Sir,
I live in Potheri ,near SRM college in Abode valley apartment(a bit outer from city).This apartment is little off from the main road and the passage is not good.So in case of emergency sometimes we need to take auto to go to main road.Taking advantage as we have no other option auto drivers ask for unreasonable fare even for very short distance may be just 400 to 500 metre.They ask 40 rs...if 2 persons then 50 rs.i[censored] r having bag and want to go to local station in front of that then 60 to 70 rs...we have to carry our gas cylinder out till road they ask for 80 rs.They are not flexible at all in fare.They had formed a union sort and all ask for same fare.We are facing this problem since long.There is no option of shared auto inside.
Please help us.They just take advantage of our helplessness.

i want to log a complaint against a rickshawala, his license number MH02 UA 6053....on 17th dec at 6.45pm at the domestic airport i hailed a auto and before getting in i asked him how is he going to charge me, by meter or random ...i asked him 5 times and he replied by meter... i stay in andheri west near navrang ... and i said i want to go to veera desai ... he was taking me from regency which is a longer route but i insisted i want to go from subway ...he got angry saying there is too much traffic and then when i reached the fare was 81 and he asked for 100 as i had 1 luggage bag and 1 handbag... as i refused he started abusing me and gave all bad words saying ehy dint i catch a rick from the road rather than the airport... i am really upset and want an action against him ..

The Autorikshaw's come near Pheonix Market City, Kamani, Kurla and they refuse to go to places other than Vidyavihar Station. And in Mumbai where Meters are to be used compulsorily, these rikshawwalas adopt sharing method(4-5 passengers) and they charge Rs.6 to Rs 7 per head just for a distance of 1-2 kms. I want to know what the R.T.O and police are doing about this. The drivers refuse to go towards ghatkopar because there they have to use meters (no profit). they want to go only short distances and charge huge amounts. I request the R.T.O and police to Check this Issue.

I boarded an Auto (KA 05 AB 6302)this morning, the exact distance is 10.2kms from X to Y, but the distance showed in the meter was 13.4kms (which is 3.2 kms more than the actual distance). This is purely tampering of meter. Actual amt would be around Rs.114/- but ended up paying Rs.142/-) This driver should be penalised. Kindly address my concern and take appropriate action.

had threatened me for extra money at Bandlaguda X roads.

Its was 11.30 pm.. I was coming back from my hometown, so at mehdipatnam I got this Auto and he said he will charge 20rs till bandlaguda x roads.
As I reached bandlaguda x roads at that time I was alone as passenger and there was one more guy wit auto driver.
After getting down, he is asking 30rs , I had refused to give him and given only 20rs and then left the auto.
Then the auto driver came back to me and threatening me to pay 10 rs.
He was going on asking me money in a rash way.
At that time I came to know that he had consumed alcohol...
Please take some action against him.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Why is the Gurgaon Adminstration so much insensitive? While Delhi has meter system of Auto. Why is Gurgaon adminstration not doing anything. I feel like cheated everyday i come by Auto for 6 Kms (from Sec 17 to Udyog Vihar IV) I pay 80-90 Rs everyday. In Delhi for the same distance I dont think it would be more than 50 Rs. When will these things end up.. Its due to poor public transports, there are increase in no. of private vechiles... increase in polution. Why is Govt. not taking serious actions against these things?

Please any one help me out whom I should contact for this.
Even for the previous complaints actions has not been taken since 2011..

This Complaint is Regarding an Autorickshaw that is Creating Nuisance here in Layout, Hebbal - Kempapura, Bangalore by Raising Accelerators of Auto in Between Early Morning 3.45 Early Morning and 6 O Clock Early morning Disturbing Several Residents in the Area. This has become a Regular Nuisance here during this time Disturbing The Sleep of Several Residents here Early morning 3.45 am to 6.30 am Making a Very Very Very Loud Loud Loud Loud Loud Noise by Raising Accelerators of Auto and there by Daily Disturbing the Sleep of Several Residents here and Creating Nuisance here.

I took an auto from Jayanagar 3rd Block to Yediyur lake. Though it was just a KM away, I had to take the auto since I had lot of luggage. Once I neared the destination I asked him to go a bit farther into the residential area.

After paying him the meter amount, he started abusing me with vulgar and unparliamentary words. I being a girl could not fight with him at that spot.

These days the tam tam rickshwaws reaching the height of arrogane driving,rash driving,sledging to emplyees.
This is all because of the Police department blessings. Even if you spot this to a Policeman he will not react at all.
Take the example of the Tam tam rickshwaw plying in hinjewadi how rush they drive, the worst sledging to the employees , as these Gundas know that nobody can touch them and take action on them. Employees...

I took an auto from Vastrapur lake to star bazaar near jodhpur chaar rastha. I am an outsider from kerala and not well worsed with language. He took 40 Rs from a ride which when I searched in net found to be 2.3 Km. I knew the route and hence couldn't fool me on that. He said some thing saying the chart and meter and arguing for 40 rs.I had to pay it as I couldn't argue due to my limitations of language and newness to the place. The auto numb is GJ-1 BZ 6247. It happened on Aug 31st evening at about 630pm.. I tried to complain at RTO website which again is not showing an english version of site. Please help.

I had a real bad experience from one of the Auto Rikshaw drivers in Nerul, Navi Mumbai which made me to search the different ways of complaint registration against them.
And I found the above all email address where I can register complaint against the Auto rikshaw drivers.

I was having my 2 years child with me and auto rikshaw drivers were refusing to ply me to the destination (Juinager) from Nerul railway station.
Somehow one rikshaw driver got ready but he demanded Rs. 40/- and when I insisted to use meter reading he refused again.
As no rikskaw drivers were ready to ply me to the Juinger and I was having my baby also with me I told them that I will register a complaint against this in RTO but it was strage that these drivers doesn't matter about it too.

In fact one driver who was asking me for Rs. 40/- he called me back and asked to note his rikshaw number too for complaint registration which I have mentioned below

All these Rikshaw's were standing at the Nerul railway station Rikshaw stand and refusing to ply to the destination and also demanding more charges and even talking rudely with the passengers

I request you to please take some strict action again this as Auto Rikshaw drivers doesn't bother about the RTO actions at all.

I would like to protest a complaint against the auto rickshaw fellow with the auto number AP9 W548. Was so arrogant with ladies in public. firstly was not ready to take us to the place we want to go and also demanded for more money than the meter, when we question this he started off abusing. Please I request the Govt.. to take some action over these auto guys. this is not the first time i face this problem everyday from Begumpet station to Ameerpet they are like charging no less than 30 to 40 Rs/-. where the meter just shows no more than 16 Rs/- is there any end to this looting. After all paying also we are supposed to listen all kind of filthy language from those illiterates.
They are not even scared of any when we say we shall complaint against them the auto guy was like do whatsoever you like I will see who is gonna come. This is the way they are not even scared or have any respect towards our Govt. There is no safety and due respect also for the fellow person. I seriously request and hope to take some action over this arrogance and fleecing. I expect to have a some immediate complaint number against the troublesome and rude behaviours of these auto rickshaw guys.

I have been travelling from Guindy to Choolaimedu regularly for the past two years by auto. Since last few months, the regular fare I am paying the autos is somewhere between Rs. 130 and Rs. 150. Today (16.07.2012), as I was waiting for an auto at Guindy, an auto fellow came & agreed to drop me @ Choolaimedu for Rs. 140. After going a few metres, the auto fellow suddenly demanded that I should pay Rs. 180 instead of the agreed amount viz. Rs. 140. When I refused, he arrogantly told me to get down from the auto. Since it was very difficult for me to get an auto at that spot & as he had travelled only a few metres, I asked him to drop me back in the same place where we started or at a nearer place where I could get an auto for which he unjustly demanded Rs. 60. I was utterly shocked but I was bold enough to tell him that either he should drop me in the place where we started or drop me at Choolaimedu for which left with no other choice, I agreed to pay him Rs. 150. But he was too arrogant and greedy and demanded Rs. 200. I was very firm in my decision and refused to get down from the auto. Then after about 10 minutes, he started the auto & was abusing me throughout the journey. I felt that these kind of auto fellows should be taught that they cannot take the common man for granted & was firm in my decision & tolerated all his filthy speech. After reaching home, he started abusing me loudly in filthy language before my neighbours. I would have been much happier if for all the agony I went through because of that scoundrel, I had given only Rs. 150 but my dad who heard the noise & came out gave him Rs. 180 in order to avoid any problems and sent him away. Is it never possible to take a stand for justice? Will common people like us have to go through all this agony because of arrogant auto drivers & be tolerant forever? I noted down the following details from the auto. It belongs to K. Umapathy, 12 Guruvapa Street, Chintadripet, Chennai-2. The auto no. is TN01 S 3849. I request that serious action will be taken against such kind of arrogant & cruel auto drivers to ensure the safety of all esp. women.

This is not about any particular Auto Rickshaw but about all the Rickshaw drivers in Hinjewadi. In Hinjewadi, not a single auto driver takes fare accordingly meter. They charge a fixed amount and that too an exorbitant amount. For example, from Hinjewadi chouk to Blue Ridge school, they are charging Rs. 200/- to & fro. which is not even 3 KM. From Wakad bridge to Hinjewadi chouk, they are charging Rs. 90 which is 1.5 KM.
Why the meter is not compulsory in Hinjewadi? It is really strange.

This is regard to the complaint for the aotorickshaws in gurgaon specially to sohna road.first there is no bus sevices and the private autos charge high fares.they charges 50-60rs from devinder vihar to huda metro station which i think is high .please take necessary action against them.there should be metro shuttle service at reasonable price.I will be highly grateful to you.

I recently travelled on an autorickshaw from Thuthiyoor(a small town near Infopark) to Infopark, nearly 4KM and he charged me Rs.60 /- I refused to give the charge as the minimum charge written in the auto is Rs. 12 and 7rs for each additional kilometers. He shouted at me and started calling all the other auto rickshaw drivers nearby. The rickshow reg number is KL 07 5435.

Till the bhabolla naka, they have also started showing sime false tariff charges
approved by the RTO but when you xheck it with the RTO over hear they dont
entertain you.
This has teally becone a pain my small sister is so scared to travell alone that i had
purchase a scotty for her,because if you dont give them the money the demand
they start abusung on the road.

I had a bitter experience recently with auto driver.As I am a usual auto traveller from Shettihalli Cross to AGB layout(Hesaraghatta Main road).Most of the auto guys,they dont come on meter. They ask fixed amount that is 60INR. every time you meet the different auto driver , they charge differently.

When I informed him about complaining, He said you can complain and he tol dme to get out of the auto. I want the necessary action to be taken against :Auto Registration Number - KA 02 AC 1641 .

Looking at the response of the driver, i felt ashamed that he knows how our government works.

I hope necessary action would be taken against these person.

This is to complain about the fast meter reading on auto with the following details :

Registration Number : KA 05 D 8693

Place :K.R.Market to Krishnarajapuram Railway station

Date : 12 APRIL 2012

Time : 11:10PM – 11:50PM

Nature of Complaint : Fast meter reading





Details :

The auto meter is extremely fast. The meter is supposed to read a total of Rs. 120/- to Rs.125/- from K.R.Market to Krishnarajapuram Railway Station. The meter shown was Rs. 243/- . I asked him about the faulty meter, then he told me that he had adjused Rs.10/- for every 100Rs. Then he is demanding me to pay Rs.480/- which is double the fare. Upto 12:00PM, auto people normally demands 1 and 1/2 charges. This amount is still higher than usual as the meter was faulty and showed an incorrect reading of kilometers (without traffic). I use to travel in that way usually and an amount of Rs 120 to 125 is the usual cost. He dint even display his Licence display board in his auto.

This attitude is very demoralizing and frustrating for the working class.

Hope that some action will be taken.

It is not in just the outer areas of the cities that autorikshaw drivers act arrogant and ply without meters running. In the very heart of the city, in Kadavanthra, Vyttila areas also the arrogance rules. Yesterday I took an auto from Elamkulam to Vyttila junction ( which I do on a daily basis and pay Rs.20/-) but yesterday's autorikshaw driver was one of the headstrong kinds. He demanded Rs.30/-. I told him I pay Rs.20/- every day and refused to pay more. He raised his voice and asked me where I was working as if i was at his mercy and was obliged to give him all my details. I asked him to mind his business, put my foot down and refused to pay extra. He started giving me back the Rs.20/- that I had given him by which time other auto rikshaw drivers from the neighbouring auto stand came and on hearing the conversation between us took him away. The most annoying fact is that when I noted down his number, with all audacity he tells me, 'call the police, I am leaving only after you call them'. This is an insult to the men in Khakhi as these auto drivers think they will not harm them in any way.

Please do action against rickshaw drivers having tempered meters in Mumbai. I traveled from Kanjurmarg station to NITIE Campus and meter reading comes out to be 6.5 which is exorbitantly high. The distance is 8 kms and cost should come around Rs 52. The auto rickshaw's no. is MH-03 AA 560
and drivers name is Tushar.

Auto no GJ 6 XX 4627 running with errant fare meter. Daily i commute from suncity manjalpur to l & t circle karelibaug and the meter reading on avg comes to 460. today i took the above mentioned auto for the same destination and its meter reading was 540, which is definitely tampered by its owner. Otherwise for the same destination journey in the same route, meter reading cannot differ significantly.

Corrective action need to be taken against the errant auto richshaw owner.
