After remaining a loyal customer of Honda for more than 15 years, I was in for a rude shock this time. Now I shall advice NEVER to buy a Honda car in India specially from Samara Honda. They offer you Honda Insurance too, just to make a fool of you and earn money out of you.
I sent my 11 yrs old Honda City Car, driven less than 35K KMs, kept like a baby, to them in Mayapuri for service. The reason: The car was working perfectly fine and hardly driven since previous service but a lady named Heena would call every second day and insist that the time has lapsed and I must get servicing done. She bombards me with the same messages too, Finally, I relent.
Service guy Dinesh calls and says that your cars chamber got a hit (Quite possibly, because Honda City is a very low car and prone to hits from even speed brakers) and has been repaired from outside and you have been notified three services earlier. Amazing. No one informed me, otherwise I would have asked them to repair it there and then and bill the insurer to whom we have paid lacs in the last 10 -11 yrs. I never sent my vehicle anywhere for such a repair. So I ask them what repair? Some one put M-seal. But I did not. No no, it was written on the invoice that was sent to you. Believe me you will have to strain your eyes to find where it is written. Moreover, imagine, service guy informs me, your car’s chamber is cracked and I tell him send me the car after service without repairing/changing chamber to me and then I take the car out to some mechanic and get M-seal on it… ???
I check the bill and pay it and file the invoice only, because I have blind faith on Honda, after all I am a loyal customer for 15 yrs plus. It doesn’t matter they say.
Now the Honda insurance says it will not cover as the car has been repaired from outside. Repaired? Did the chamber got welding on it? Putting M-seal, that too not by me, is a kind of repair where insurance would not cover the Chamber Damage? Unbelievable. Ultimate harassment and trade malpractice.
The car is sent back to me on 20th July 23 after service and immediately the all-good car, showed signs of Engine oil leakage from the chamber, meaning, they removed the M Seal so that the engine oil leaks and I get stranded and then pay them and get it repaired. Look at the strategy. Stright forward arm twisting. Just awesome.
Then they call me for my feedback after service, just to gather brownie points. I give none.
I call Heena again on 01st August tell her oil is leaking, she says I will get vehicle picked tomorrow between 11am 12 noon. I call her again at 12 noon on 2nd August asking why the vehicle was not picked-up. Now she comes out with the real answer. IT WILL BE A PAID REPAIR SIR.
Why was I not told this before in the morning? No answers. The GM Pankaj Tyagi, disconnects the phone as I call him. After a while I call him again, he picked this time only to do almost nothing about it. Then one Mandeep calls and I have to do all the explaining again.
Now Mandeep says car will be picked up but non-committal on anything else. A few calls later, now the guy is on the way at 2 pm to pick the car. Just pathetic. Car finally picked up at 2.30pm. Next Mandeep calls to say, send insurance policy and I comply. Then at around 4pm she calls to say what they had been maintaining all this while. YOU NEED TO PAY, NO YOUR INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER. End of the Game? No.
Now she tells me the part to be changed, the chamber, is not with them and they will take 3 days to give the vehicle back. So the ordeal doesn’t end here. Wait is on…..
This was uploaded on Honda website in complaint section on[protected], but no response in 24 hours. That’s their commitment to their customers. Awesome.
Finally, vehicle delivered on 4th at 5.45 pm… had to pay 10K plus. Commitment by Mandeep that ok we shall give discount on labour charges, not met.
I, for one, shall never buy or trust Honda blindly anymore in my life.

    I purchased a Honda city eHAV on date of 19.05.22 from your dealership Piplod landmark Honda showroom.
    Unfortunately, Showroom representative fraudulently sold some car accessories like alloy wheels.
    The actual cost of Alloy wheel is INR 52500/- with GST and was sold to me INR 66000/-, He told me the actual cost of this Alloy wheel is 94000/- and offered some discount 29000/- and force fully sold the wheels.
    When I checked in market the actual cost is only 52500/- with GST only.
    They have taken original Alloy wheels worth rupees 20000/- and now not ready to give it back. This matter have discussed with Mr. Tejas [protected] and Mr. Jenil Modi [protected] but not getting proper response.
    They have not given us any bill copy and forcefully cash payment done.
    I look forward to settling this matter amicably. If, however, the matter is not satisfactorily resolved by (27.06.2022), I will consider taking further action to resolve the complaint either through Consumer Protection or through the courts.

      I have given my car to ring road honda, gurgaon to change few parts on 18th june 2016. till today (11/07/2016) they are unable to get a common part like bumper. moreover they even don't know how many more days it is going to take.

      I believe its strictly unprofessional on part of such a big company like honda and should be ashamed of causing such harassment to their customers.

        VAR REGD NO UK 06Z2433 FRONT RH SIDE TIRE GOT BULGED AT KM 1942 ONLY.THE CUSTOMER IS AT KASHIPUR . The car is purchased recently and everything including the Tyre is under warranty. However, even after followup with the dealer:

          Bogus Warranty, Bogus Service.

          Firstly my Car has ran 20,000 Km and was making a noise when i was braking so i had sent it in for service to M/s Peral Honda.

          Secondly i got a call from the dealer stating that the parts such as break pad and disc(repaired) will cost you as it is not a part of my extended warranty and will cost me 6000 extra than already a service cost of 15000 + taxes. MY only issue to that was the car is only 15 months old and i run it with an average of more than 11Kmpl which is very good for a honda city. So that means i drive slow and do not apply breaks so how come the break pads gave away within 15 months previous to this i had maruti and a tata car and mind you i had to only replace the break pad after 3 -4 years o[censored]sage which tends to happen in city conditions.

          There is no doubt in my mind that this is due to sub standard parts usage.

          Thirdly Honda has a very BAD customer relations team they dont know how to deal with customers they only know how to give final stance and the way the snub you is amazing when i asked for some one higher in the management to talk to they completly ignore, i will attach the replies from the CR team which is absolutely appaling and i dont blame them it talks to Honda dismal performance over the past few years.

          My Mistake i moved on from Maruti but believe me i will be posting my exprience in every blog/social networking site/ consumer forums/ will discourage each and every of my friend/relatives/peers to BUY Junk Honda cars.

          It is time that Honda pays attention to word of mouth advertising , people in india have moved on from buying products seeing bogus advertisement they rely more on word of mouth/ critics and other tursted sources such as friends and family to make up their descion.

          THANKS FOR NOTHING TEAM HONDA. As and when i have time at my disposal i will be dragging them to the consumer court as well. I guess we all need to toe the line " JAGO GARAHAK JAGO".

            Issue on hand:

            A problem which started from the day I bought the car.

            The alignment of the car was not proper and the car would pull to the left or the right each time it “ supposedly set right” by the dealer.

            Further enhanced by the diagnosis and trials conducted by the company dealership on time to time and regular service intervals and in between the service intervals.

            As the problem did not get resolved Bridgestone moved into the picture on my insistence to the dealer of Honda to do the needful and replace the tyres.

            Cost to customer:

            Harassment at the hands of the dealer and the OEM

            Defective tyres , OEM says none of “their” business.( That is for the Honda and Bridgestone slug out to decide who is wrong or right)

            Running around windows, here between Dealer, Honda and Bridgestone ( a typical made in India concept).

            OEM Bridgestone says:

            We are clean and nothing to do “you take this up with Honda” ( mail trail below gives you a fair idea of the whole issue at large and the categorical remark)

            They will not take-up with the dealer “you the customer” has to take it up , they will then take with Bridgestone......................

            Honda says: SORRY WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING WHEN IT IS THIER DEALER FAULT IN NOT ADDRESSING THE ISSUE CORRECTLY.

            PLEASE BEWARE OF HONDA THEY DUPE CUSTOMERS BY FIRST SELLING AND THEN NOT SERVICING THEM.

            I SEEK A REPLACEMENT OF THE TYRES ON AN URGENT BASIS.
            I have taken HONDA CITY recently on 1st of Sep. 2011.
            I felt very bad experience on quality of parts within a week time I found bubble on front side Tyre which is Mechelin make Tyre's.
            I have claimed complaint against and asked for replacement of Tyre.

            Three times I have send vehicle to Honda show room from Sinner to Nashik.
            Today I come to know that as per Mechelin this is due to uneven road shock to the Tyre.
            How poor quality is this Tyre which Honda to giving to the customers?
            At the time of receipt on 1st Sept. I found small bubble on Tyre which I have not complaint considering this is very small and unseen it.
            After few days bubble started increasing and then the story started.

            I request Honda to help me in replacement of this defective quality Tyre this will help Honda for Future customers relations.

              I had bought a Honda CITY GXI model on Dec'08 from Harmony Honda, Chandigarh.

              Since purchase of the car, it has got serviced almost regularly at the Honda Service Centres only. Last Service was done in Aug'10 at Sunshine Honda, Jaipur. Since then the car has covered approx. 5000 KM.

              In Jan'10, the oil chamber of the car had got hit by a stone in the night, hence there was a small leakage from the chamber. The chamber was changed immediately through Pinkcity Honda, Jaipur. At the same time the fender lining and engine cover was also damaged by the stone (Basically the under the engine plastic lining). During the repairs, Pinkcity Honda forgot to put the engine cover.

              After few months, the fender lining again got damaged as its base is actually the engine cover, since there was no engine cover, it was loose and got damaged. This time I sent the car to Sunshine Honda, Jaipur. They only reverted back to me stating that there is no engine cover, hence the fender lining has got damaged. Hence, I had to get both the things replaced again at my own cost.

              on 7th Feb'11, I sent the car to Sunshine Honda, Jaipur for replacement of the windshield, as it has got a crack while driving. I got a call back from the service centre mentioning that there is a leakage from the engine and I should see it for my self. On 8th Feb'11, I went to their service centre, where they explained to me that this kind of damage can not come because of any accident and hence it can not be covered under any kind of accident claim. Basically there was a hole in the engine block. (The pictures are attached with this mail for your reference)

              That day they told me that it would cost approx. 2.5 lac for the replacement of the part as the part can not be repaired. At that time, I requested them to check with the company, that since it is a manufacturing defect and in a car like Honda City such kind of occurrence is not normal, it should be replaced by the company. That very day company's Area incharge Mr. Abhinav was also present in Sunshine Honda. They asked me to wait for their response in this case. I told him that the car is hardly 2 yr 1 months old and the warranty has just expired in Dec'10 and this problem can not come up in just overnight kind of manner. Also that the car has hardly covered 28,400 KMs so far.

              On 8th Feb'11, I got a call from Mr. Ajay, GM-Sunshine Honda, in the evening mentioning that this can not be done and the company has rejected the claim.

              On 9th Feb'11, I called Mr. Ajay and asked him to provide me with the company's official contact nos. and mail ids, so that I can interact with the company directly. Mr. Ajay just gave me the contact no. of the local Area Incharge Mr. Abhinav and expressed his reservations in providing any other details in this regard.

              On 10th feb'11, I called up Mr. Abhinav to discuss this case. His reply was that since the car is out of warranty, they are not liable. I insisted that I want to discuss the matter with someone senior in the organisation, to which he replied back stating that he can give any details of any senior person and in case I want to do anything, I can write a mail to the customer care ID of Honda Cars.

              On 11th Feb'11, I sent a mail to Mr. Ajay, requesting him to revert back to me in writing with regard to the following queries:-

              -- What is the exact technical defect / damage in the engine/ bock? What could be the possible reasons?
              -- What is the solution for this?
              -- What is the cost of correcting this?
              -- If the damage / defect is not due to normal wear and tear or accident (as the car has hardly run for 28000 KM so far in last 2 yr 2 month period), why can't the Honda company change / replace the part?

              Sunshine Honda or the company have not reverted to me on the above queries till date.

              Since, I was not satisfied by the answers from the Service centre or the Area Incharge, I wrote a very strong mail to their customer care id on 12th Feb'11 to their customer care id with a cc to Sunshine Honda.

              Meanwhile I tried my level best to find out details of some senior officials so that I could discuss this matter with them. However, please note that there was no reply from either of their officials or customer care id till Monday morning. So I wrote another mail to them on 14th Feb'11 to every possible e-mail of Honda Cars, which I could lay my hands upon. But, again there was no response or call from the company.

              Also that very day, I talked to Honda Cars corporate Sales Head Mr. Ashish Kaul, who asked me to forward the mail to him with details, but he has also not reverted on the matter afterwards.

              Yesterday (15th Feb'11), I got a call from Sunshine Honda, Jaipur saying that I should call up their Area Manager and discuss the matter with him. Frankly speaking, I did not call Mr. Abhinav again as his last interaction was totally hands off approach and I did not wanted any further frustration in this regard. Though I did got a message through a close friend of mine that Honda RSM have told them that if I am ready to pay 1.27 lac, then they can get the part changed. Please note that till date, nothing has been given to me in writing from the company with regard to any matter.

              After this, I wrote another mail to all the possible company officials, clearly mentioning that I am not going to let this issue go like this and would take it up to the last level.

              Yesterday, that is on 15th Feb'11, I have got a mail from their customer care id mentioning that they are looking into the matter and that they will talk to Pinkcity Honda, Jaipur in this regard. It was clear that none of the senior person had read my mail so far, as I had clearly mentioned that my car is lying with Sunshine Honda.

              Today, I got a call from the GM of Sunshine Honda, Mr. Ajay. He asked me to visit their service centre, as the Area Manager had come today and he wanted to discuss the matter with me. When I reached there, he again tried to convince me that the best they can do is that they will replace the part at a cost of approx. Rs. 1.27 lac. At the same time, he also tried to put the blame of the damage on to me by saying that since the car was hit (that was in Jan'10 and we are talking about the leakage now), and the oil chamber was damaged, hence due to heating this problem could occur. Again, please note that till date there is nothing in writing from them to me.

              So, here is the total a/c of issue. All my communications with them is their in the tailed mail.

              Sir, I would request you to please guide me further in this case and also suggest that should I take a legal route or not?

              I strongly believe that it is a manufacturing defect and the company should own up the liability in this case.

              Only suggestion is to stop buying Honda products. Spread the message and inform prospective buyers on the demerits.
              1. car freight from noida has been taken on FOR price why?
              2.why they forced us to do the insurance from sundarm finance and they charged extra premium.
              3. why kanpur dealer pushp honda hasnot delivered original documents of registeration paper even after 4 weeks. of delivery?
              4.why they have propagated wrong information through their sales team regarding mileage of car which is only 15-16 kmpl as against 25.6 kmpl written on broacher ? we will certainly buy another company car.

                Dear sir/M'am
                We have purchased Hodn CIVIC thru ACE HONDA NOIDA ( Nkasha Enterprises Pvt Lt d) on 19 th May'09.
                With in five minutes take to the nearest patrol pump to fill the Patrol, whne found that Front window power window are not heaving up properly i.e leaving the car window open.
                Immediatly rcushed back to ACE HONDA advising them on the same, where in Mr Neeraj ( employee ACE HONDA ) tried to correct the same .
                But again same night same problem found, called up HONDA road side Assitance Mr Bakshi who expressed his helpless ness & advised that same can be corrected only at workshop not at road side.
                Next day i.e 20 th May agaisn send back the car for correction, but it improved momentarily
                Problem remain thru out.
                We have bought this car for convenience, now feeling very much inconvienet as in the public place can'nt leave the window opened, therefore restricting ourselve to open the front power window.
                Today i.e 23 rd may agains faced the same probele whihc advised to Mr Abhishek Gupta ( ACE HONDA ), who advised that he will send the mechanics on 24 th.
                As the Problem re-ocurring, therefore require a permannet solution for the same.
                Its seem by spending Approx Rs thirteen Laks instead convenience I have bought a problem for self.
                Aprreciate if your Engineeer who can diganose the problem & correct the same permanently.

                  Overcharging & not responding

                  I purchased honda city zx no. Dl4c nc 3045 from m/s ring road honda (Sugoi motors pvt ltd) 21a, shivaji marg, new delhi-110015 vide their invoice no. 5946 dt 15/07/2008.In this connection i am to state that i am charged rs. 20581.00 by them towards insurance charges whereas total insurance premium shown in the policy no. 3001/54544854/00/000 sent to me by m/s ring road honda on 13 oct 2008 is
                  Rs. 15837.00. As per these two documents...
