Mango Cabs Complaints & Reviews

We have been happy customers of mango cabs for nearly 5 years now and always relied on them for keeping time. Their customer service was also quite commendable, until this set of experiences. We had a flight to board for which the cab arrived nearly an hour late. The driver seemed to be the least bothered about being irresponsible and does not even get out of the cab to help load our luggage so we can get moving quick. Travelling with an infant can be hectic as it is, and while racing to the airport, the cars is out of fuel. At this point, we are at our wits end cos we are nearly sure that we won’t make the flight. We had to be at our destination the next morning for urgent reasons and there was no other travel means except for travelling by road which would be harrowing for all o[censored]s. We couldn’t get on our flight. Luckily (We’ll not so lucky, we lost a good sum of money), there was another early morning flight. We got back home and again booked a cab from them. We demanded that we should not be charged for the trip and they did agree but honestly is it just about the money? We specifically asked them to reach about 15 minutes early, but yet again they reached 10 minutes late. Frankly, the 10 minutes wouldn’t really have bothered us if we hadn’t already missed one flight and then when we asked the driver why he was late despite the specification to arrive early, he started abusing us in a manner of ranting that he had to get out of bed in the wee hours because o[censored]s. We had hardly had a couple of hours’ sleep and still kept a good face while the driver asked us to go ask mango cabs for a refund for our missed flight instead of blowing steam on him. All we asked him, was the reason for him not keeping time. We stopped talking seeing his manners. We did make the flight this time, and on contacting mango cabs to report the ill-mannered driver, he didn’t entertain us much. Instead, after dropping our call, he called us back from a different number and harassed and abused us in the local language. We repeatedly asked him his name but he didn’t share it.

I made a reservation with Mango Cabs for the 31st of January for a trip to Kanyakumari from Poovar. Rahul, the customer service rep took the reservation, and though I was a little hesitant initially, I agreed to make a reservation based on Rahul's professional approach over the phone, and explanation of the features/charges.

Mango Cabs taxi driver Janardanan was assigned as my driver. He came at in the morning, and picked me and my wife up. I have to say that Mango Cabs doesn't pay any attention to its driver recruitment process that you feel that they just pick up their drivers from the street and put them on cars. This cab driver that was assigned to me did not know how to behave with women, he is so uncouth that he kept coming along with me inside all the shops that I was visiting, and standing next to me and my wife, scratching his head indecently, and worst of all, he started asking me a lot of personal questions such as my house address and location etc. He was extremely disinterested in showing us around Kanyakumari, and upon our return, he started fighting with me over the agreed upon price (trying to take advantage of me since I am not a local). Then, I had to call Rahul and go over what we discussed after which the taxi driver finally agreed.

Based on my experience, I've decided not to hire Mango Cabs ever again. If you decide to hire a cab from Mango cabs, please save yourself some trouble from uncouth and unprofessional drivers, and drive the car yourself if they will let you. If they insist on assigning a driver with the car, avoid traveling with your family.

This is to bring into your knowledge that yesterday I booked your cab services from Mayapuri to Defence Colony. The bill amount came Rs.279/- as per the meter (i.e 22.9 kms ( as per my estimates distance is 16 to 17 K.M. as I used to drive the same way) with 50 Rs. Of AC ) but the driver has charged Rs.50/- extra (i.e.total Rs.330/-).

When i called the driver (Mr. Dinesh, Cab No: DL 1 RT 0865) afterwards...
