trai clearance for caller ID on post-paid mobile

Dear Sir,
My wife is operating a mobile on life-time post-paid connection from Vodafone (Mumbai). At the time of booking we were told that TRAI may give clearance shortly for getting caller ID free of charge on such connections (Now it is Rs. 49/- a month for getting called ID display). Since there are not many callers on this mobile of ours, we have opted out of paying and getting the caller ID.
