Bad service, unhygienic bathroom water logged. and sticking.
I am traveling in Delhi Dibrugarh Rajdhani originated from Delhi on 25th MAy 2017. Its the worst Rajdhani experience I ever had. Pathetic service, bad coach B12, Bathrooms stinking bad, waterlogged. 2 bathrooms are permanently locked god knows for what reason. Its nothing better than a local train. Paying heavy amount for most pathetic service. It seems railway is just devicing ways to earn money, and device deteriorated over time.

Extremely disappointing experiences. I took Rajdhani to and from Delhi to Ernakulam. The train was 3 hours late. It wasn't clean either. Toilets were horrible and the food provided wasn't even enough for a child. Total waste of money.

Old blankets to be used

Please note that I am still trevelling through Rajdhani 12424 from ghy to Tinsukia on a confirmed coach/ bearth but I have been told to use the old blankets which are used by some other traveller during the journey. We have used this train for its reputation and even paid full amount. Still I have been asked to use it. Really feeling sad about the train and its coach cleaningness. Required your intervention for the same and if it is not resolve please note that I will write to railway minister or to the PM for sure. Ask for your prompt action and advice regarding the same

Sir/madam i travelled in rajdhani express (22691) on 23rd of march 2017, from Bangalore to delhi . I want to complain for food served in train during my journey.
The food in the train was of worst order . It was as bad that if i had an option to opted for food and pay for it i would not pay even a single penny. It would better to give an option to passenger opt for food OR pay less for their journey. My experience with rajdhani express was pathetically worst and i wish i would never have to travel in rajdhani express in future, if its sevices doesn't improve.

No announcement coming on station
I m travelled 12432 rajdhani express but so poor experience in Indian railway .whenever I want to Ask by train staff next station name nobody satisfied me, then I thought lets use mobile net but badluck again network not available in moving train.Now I m decide to in future we will not use rajdhani train . BUT ONE QUESTION. For railway minister can we r not provided announcement system in coaches for rectify this problem if avilable then why announcement system not working.

No proper management...pathetic service
Looking at the number of complaints on this website i am sure i am not the only one complaining. I am travelling in sealdah rajdhani 12314. My seat number is 33 of coach b12. I am a regular travelling passenger with rajdhani express. It had been a very good n luxurious train people would like to travel in. So long i never thought about carrying food along with me because i am traveling in rajdhani and i am very confident that i will get a premium quality food. But this time i am very much disappointed or unhappy with the service provided. Food provided for dinner last night was pathetic, firstly it was not carried separately, veg & non veg food were mixed & served together. Seconly, the food was also bad, the sabzi provided in dinner contained raw pcs of paneer not at all mixed and was saltless infact tasteless. No proper cleanliness is there. Toilets are not clean, flush is not working and stinking. Apart from that food trays are not removed on time which creates a messy and bad smelling coaches. No air freshner sprayed this time. No wet wipes given. Toilets are not cleaned with phenoel. When calling staffs, they are not listening . They just ignore passengers requests. It appears that the railways and especially Rajdhani management do not plan to improve their pathetic services. This is like cheating passengers by giving us false promise of a good service. I do not understand why they even call it a "premium Train". It is not even a distant shadow of a true Premium train. If this is India's so called premium train, imagine what the ordinary trains will be!!

Poor food and under quality service

I am travelling by delhi to sealdah rajdhani express in AC three tier on 20th december 2016. The food served here is under quality and cold. Not all food items are provided in the meal dont know why like bread is given breakfast with out jam and butter. The water for tea is cold. No option for coffee. Water bottle provided with broken seal cap and many more. The charge of ticket is on rise while service and food quality is detoriating. Why this kind of discrepanicies shown in top train in India. We have some foreigners with us in the train. They are laughing after seeing disgusting gestures of the attendent. This is a disgrace of indian railways and want justice.

Stale food in rajdhani

I was given stale food along with other passengers, a stale chicken in rajdhani express on 21st of july 2016 by umesh rai and his contractors and abused me when i did not pay them hefty "tips" had to be hospitalized for 4 days and i ask compensation of 1 lakh compensation, b7 52 seat number, pnr number [protected], attendant told me as passengers are not there in rajdhani delhi to sealdah so foods are stored for even 7 days so to prevent food wastage but at the cost of public health who are paying 2200 rs for trip?

Freeze facilities for medicine
I'm travelling from Sealdah to new Delhi today in 12313 Sealdah rajdhani exp at couch number B7, seat number 55. I carry some expensive medicines which needed some cold temperature. While I asking the catering provider at couch no B7 for freezing my medicine he is ignoring to take my medicine. So I need an urgent help. Please arrange the same for me.

No charging socket at side lower and side upper birth.
Dear railway maintenance incharge,
First time i am travelling in rajdhani exp from bangalore to new delhi.
I got lower birth, didn't found any nearby charging socket.
I thought, its better to travell in sleeper coach in other train rather than travelling in rajdhani exp.
You must arrange a separate charging facility for each individuals.
Felt like... Naam bade aur darshan chhote..!
Please rectify this if you can..!

low quality of food, staff asking bribe in Rajdhani and Tamilnadu Express
Respected sir,
we had travelled in Raldhani train last month (towards Tamilnadu).we have complaints for many things.
1. Over all Food served war very low in quality. Meals on wheels supply is very worse now.
2. lime water served was very bad.i think 80% people did not drink and discarded with one sip.
3. Ice cream was served at 10.00pm.so around 90% traveller had returned it.
4. before six o’ clock tea a was served. many told to give after it and the serving staff accepted but did not give again though we asked it. Also Many told to keep the flask on the tray. But he did not.
5. The serving staff did not follow hygiene. Once we saw that he was cleaning the wash basin with his bare hands.He never used to wear gloves.
6. finally he asked money to all for his services. Many gave as he was insisting them.
7. The staff who served bed sheet also asked money and got irritated as many not given.
8. We returned back with Tamilnadu Express. The staff who served bed sheet asked money in that train.
The experience was occurred in Orissa Rajdhani train. Few friends told me that the trend is seen in all Rajdhani but no action still even on many complaints.
We wonder how and when our Railway got such bad staff and services as these were not seen few years back.
Please take necessary action to stop such malpractices in all trains.

cooling temperature
the AC temperature in train is very low. It feels so cold in 3 tier train. We have told them many times to increase the temperature from 22 to 26 but no one listens in Delhi to Bangalore rajdhani train and vice versa. Train number 22692 and 22691. Can't sleep in so much cold. It is suggested to tell the train workers to kindly keep the temperature at 26 only. We don't want to be caught by fever.

Pathetic Service & Dirty (Disgusting)

Looking at the number of complaints on this website i am sure i am not the
only one complaining. It appears that the railways and especially Rajdhani
management do not plan to improve their pathetic services. This is like
cheating passengers by giving us false promise of a good service. I do not
understand why they even call it a "premium Train". It is not even a distant
shadow of a true Premium train. If this is India's so called premium train,
imagine what the ordinary trains will be!!
I doubt anyone of the concerned authorities reads these complaints or the
administrator of this site never bothers to forward it to them. Why do the
services not improve then inspite of so many complaints. The Railway
minister should take serious note of these complaints.
I travelled twice with my family in May 2015, once from NJP to NDLS and
again from Nizamuddin to Madgao. I had booked these trains thinking i will
enjoy the journey & get superb service. But i was totally disappointed.
The train from NJP to NDLS was very very dirty(disgusting) And it was
made dirty not by the passengers (as the authorities would like to blame), but
by their own catering staff who were duty bound to keep it clean. They used
to throw away the food in the vestibule of the train and in the wash basin.
The basins were blocked and so were the toilets. I never saw train
supervisors coming for any inspection of their staff and how they work. Is
this the "Swacch Bharat" they promised. At the end of the journey, the staff
comes and asks for "baksheesh" as if it was compulsory. They used to
literally demand (like extortion) for the so called "good service" they had
given!!. This illegal practice has to stop. The food menu remains same
throughout the journey and the food is pathetic. People feel Rajdhani gives
"free" food. Completely wrong. The cost is actually higher! You pay
Catering charges while buying the ticket. Seroiusly speaking, there is no point
travelling by any Rajdhani. The ordinary express trains are much better and
cheaper than these trains and you get to buy variety of food there. It's better
to travel by flight than the Rajdhani!

It's true, I was traveling by rajdhani 22693 On 12.8.16, the boy who was serving is totally drunk and Has not served welcome drink and I was served soup before dinner after 10 PM .THE CONDITION OF THE SERVICE IS VERY PATHETIC DIRTY.

Rajdhani express is suppossed to be special train of Indian Railways...the foods served are of very poor quality...inspite of changed made regarding caterers the food standard have gone down considerably..I travelled with my family by 12314..New Delhi to Sealdah on 31/03/2015 & again by 12313...Sealdah to New Delhi.. ON 06/04/2015 .the food served were uneatable...WHY CANT THE INDIAN RAILWAYS GIVE THE CATERING RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PEOPLE WHO SERVES FOOD IN AIRLINES? atleast the quality will be good...the railways have started charging extra for food so it is their responsibility to serve better quality food...it is pathetic to travel by such train..same is the case with Duronto express...when the things are going to change only God Knows..

TRAIN DEPARTED FROM DELHI APPROXIMATELY 4 HOURS BEHIND THE SCHEDULE-(DEPARTED AT 20:22 INSTEAD OF 16.25) .EVENING SNACKS WAS NOT PROVIDED. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY DINNER.
NEXTDAY THE TRAIN ARRIVED AT SEALDAH STATION AT AROUND 14.30 P.M. BUT LUNCH...

two passengers drinking alcohol and abusing

Train number 12424 traveling from delhi to gwahati, in coach b4 2 passangers are drinking alcohol smoking and abusing... It's been almost 3 hours and nonodody comes for check... IM a girl alone next to them and iam scared to death.where is the security????shame on the staffs, the pantry people are not saying anything.is rajdhani so unsafe???

Stale food served in Superfast Rajdhani Express
Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to lodge a complaint regarding the FOOD SERVED in Rajdhani Express bearing train Number 22812, which ran from New Delhi- Bhubansewar on 14th of November and reached Cuttack on 15th of Novemeber.My mother who was traveling on it, bearing PNR number [protected] - after consuming the Food suffered from Food Poisoning and is now serious.I would request the Concerned authority to take immediate steps regarding it.

The food provided by Rajdhani express is not of good quality, i think when Indian railway cant provide good quality food they should have an option of without food, the quality of seats is not good, Indian railways is making huge amount ofprofit but the service they provide is pathetic as Indian is an emerging economy but its of no use if the government can't provide better services to its citizens.I went to Spain last year n travelled in train, the quality of seats, the food they provide is awesome, i dont think that Indian Railways will match that quality in next 50 years.

Never never travel in rajdhani express, super fast and super bad.
I travelled[protected] from delhi to b'lore .till 9.30 food was not served.
Having checked many times 9.45 food comes.lousiest food in the world.train is very very dirty including the toilets.at 10.15 after serving food i was fast asleep very hungry, the food was so bad that we coiul'nt eat.the server wakes me up and was asking for service charges.i told him we are paying for the food, railway is paying you for the lousy services and top nof that u r asking us, just get out i told him.
Next day something called tea they served, i cant express it.
there are so much rats n warms many people asked for complaint book but they didn ready to give complaint book and one thing they served afternoon food in night
After receiving so much complaints also why cant you take some action and rectify the complaints, you dont see customer satisfaction only money is seen.
Such a costly train also.

I travelled via train no. 2429 from Bangalore[protected]:20 hrs to Hazrat Nizamudeen[protected]:50 hrs vide PNR no.[protected] along with a group of five family members seat no.15,16,23 and 31 of B2 coach and 55 of B5 coach all in AC3 catagory.
On the way at about 01:00 hrs on the 24-25 June 2010 night, a bed roll attendent of B2 coach Sh. Ashok Niwani, under the influence of liquor, PASSED URINE on the face of female passenger...

Since my childhood i have heard that rajdhani express is pride of nation but on 27th march in h,nizzamuddin bangalore rajdhani no. 2430 was the worst experince of my life in train journey.
these are my few complaints against indian railways,
1. Behaviour of catering staff was pathetic, they behave rudely and some time use abusive language on asking for extra meal.
2. Quality n quantity of food served in rajdhani exp. was very poor, unhygienic, not up to standards . Food given in all 3 meals was so less in quantity that passenger have to starve in journey or buy food from the station vendors.
3. only 1 news paper was given between 4 passengers of A2 31,32,33,34.
4. On asking for mineral water bottle the catering staff have shows the railway policy that only 1 bottle water is authorized for 20 hrs journey and total 2 bottles of water was given for journey of
36 hrs from delhi to bangalore, for extra bottle of water u have tro pay 12 rupees per bottle
IF A PASSENGER HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER IN RAJDHANI EXPERSS, THEN WHY SHOULD WE BOOK TICKET IN RAJDHANI.
according to medical book of harrison '' MINIMUM REQUIREMENT OF WATER FOR A ADULT HUMANE BODY IS 3 LITRES, AND IN RAJDHANI EXP. ONLY 1 LTR WATER IS GIVEN IN 20 HRS,
WHICH CAN GIVE RISE TO POTENTIALLY LETHAL MEDICAL CONDITION -- DEHYDRATION, HYPOVOLEMIA AND PASSENGER MAY COLLAPSE DURING SUMMER.''

Rude behaviour
I was travelling with my old father - 82 years, sister and nephew in 2AC, by 2952- Rajdhani Express on 9th October, 2009.(A4-52, A4-53, A4-50). The TTE/Conductor Mr. R.K. Tewani, behaved in rude manner. a compliant dated 15/10/2009, already lodged with the G.M W.Rly. Mumbia. but noting has been done and i suspect that the said complaint is managed by the concerned TTE. Despite comlaint, the said TTE is still working on the said Rajdhani train. i have received a reply bearing No. C358/100/105/3/12/AC(C)/09-10, dated 15/1/2010, from mr. Suresh Barmecha, SCM (Ctg), which only narrats my contents, does not speak a single word on the action taken by the raiwlays. Is there anybody senior Official of the Western Railway or Rail Board, who can look into the matter personally and take appropriate action against the said TTE / Conductor of Rajdhani Express for his rude behaviour. thanx.

POOR SERVICE
Sir/Madam,
We were passengers of Rajdhani Express 2431 on 14 01 2010 from Thrissur to Kota -Coach B 8/ 3A/1, 2, 4 births. (Our ticket was from Trivandrum to Nizamuddheen)
We were supposed to be served with one bottle of water per person for first 20 hours along with the food. They never bothered to serve us water and we were literally forced to beg for a bottle of water! Not a single passenger in the coach was given water without this begging process!
The train was late by 1 1/2 hrs and so we had requested them for the break fast, as we are entitled for it, as our ticket was up to Nizzamudheen.The breakfast which was to be served at 8 AM routinely was delayed intentionally till 8.45 AM to avoid us. The Boy was asking for a TIP of Rs 200 to serve the break fast which I denied. As we insisted, another person served us the food packets after just taking away juice pack etc from it!
The matter was reported to the Food Manager of the train at Kota.
Is it not a SHAME for all o[censored]s, Indians, to have such an experience in the Prestigious train, Rajdhani Express?!!
KINDLY ENSURE THAT ALL PASSENGERS OF RAJDHANI EXP. GET THE FOOD ALONG WITH DRINKING WATER THEY ARE ENTITLED TO (WITH OUT ANY BEGGING)
LET THE PASSENGER CHOOSE BETWEEN TEA & COFFEE, NOT THE SERVING STAFF. LET THE SERVING PERSONNEL BE "A BIT POLITE" TO THE PASSENGERS. (THEIR ATTITUDE WAS THAT IT IS OUT OF THEIR MERCY WE ARE GETTING FOOD, NOT FOR THE MONEY WE PAID!!)
This may be confined to our coach on that day, I am not sure.
LET MESS MANAGER ENQUIRE RANDOMLY TO THE PASSENGERS IN ALL COACHES ABOUT THE FOOD & SERVICES SO THAT CORRECTIVE MEASURES CAN BE TAKEN THEN AND THERE ITSELF

food served — irregular catering service
while travelling from vadodara to nizamuddin on 15-10-09 on train no 2431 trivandrum rajdhani,all the passengers were served with tea and buiscuits only insted of the regular snacks as prescribed in the menu card.when i called for the complaint book no body paid any heed to my request.it is only when icalled quality control manager on[protected] the pantrycar manager abhishek kumar appeared and despite my repeated request did not give me complaint book.when the other passenger intervened what he produced was visitors book,i wrote my complaint on that.my pnr no is [protected],coach no a4 and berth no 38.i was told that catering service is provided by r k associaes.please pay heed to my complaint by taking suitable action against the guilty.rajdhani express — poor service
I am a frequent traveller in train no 2444 Bubneswr Rajdhani exp. , But on my last journey i.e. 28 Aug the quality of food was very poor or say worst. I think that should'nt happen as Rajdhani Exp is the pride of Indian Railways. Helpful

I Anurag Gupta traveled from Rajdhani express which you people suggest as the best train in india.
i traveled on 4 oct 2009 from bangalore to nizamuddin(Delhi). The train was such a scrap that when it was raining outside, the rain water was coming in from most of the glasses in the compartment, the coach was B1 and the birth was 55 Side lower, in my life i have never been through this sort of journey where no one is to help you, when i asked the attendent "Javed Khan" he said "ye to upar wale ka ashirwad hai, is se kaun bach sakta hai", this is what you teach your attendents, is this the way to talk to passengers, more over rain water made my birth wet, my clothes and bedding got wet from water coming through the window, and bedding attendant "Sahi ram" did not issued me another bedding. whole night i was sitting in the corner of my seat which was a bit dry, no one to help, same night i was caught in fever and cough as well.More over the attendants are like beggars, they want reward for every service they provide you, in night when i was sleeping the attendant came and wake me up, and said "Sir bakshish dijiye", i was so disappointed at that time that what the hell is happening in this train, some how i reached delhi and called my relatives to come to the station, this is very disappointing and ridiculous, now today when i am a bit ok, i want you people to tell me that if this is the condition of india's best train, then what you people do in the local trains? The whole staff belongs to bihar and they were abusing each other in the night, may be they were drunk or something. people were scolding them for keeping their noise low and to keep quite but they were sitting on the gate passage and were fighting and discussing to each other. Sir i want my money back from IRCTC, and want compensation for the inconvenience and harassment i faced through out the night.
This was the weird traveling i have ever done in my life in the best train of india.

Dear Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that while traveling with my 3 nos of family members bu 2424 Rajdhani express from new Delhi to New Coochbehar your staff Supplied only 4 nos of drinking water bottles worth Rs 15.00 / bottle in market during our journey from 2.20 PM of 30/09/09 to 2-30 PM of 1st Oct/2009 . That sir My reservation was upto Dibgrugarh instead of New coochbehar and that was under TATKAL CLASS IN AS-3 TIRE. Bearing ticket no 71239690 PNR NO:[protected].
I even tried to purchase water bottle from your staff by cash but your staff did not respond even denied to supply water bottle for which other passengers also tried to get water bottle.
I, therefore request you kindly to take necessary immediate action to avoid future harassment for the valuable customers of your department. I also request you if possible kindly to increase the ticket value including cost of sufficient drinking water bottle so as to make passengers to keep themselves in dark in respect of corruption in your department .

URGENT NEED OF STOP AT KAYANKULAM FOR RAJDHANI EXPRESS

I here by request you to issue a stop for TVC - NZM RAJDHANI EXPRESS at Kayankulam on behalf of all malayalies in QUILON, ALAPPUZHA AND PATHANAMTHITTA DISTRICTS.
THE ABOVE SAID TRAIN IS HAVING STOPS AT ERNAKULAM, TRICHUR, SHORNUR, KOZHIKODE & KANNUR.
BETWEEN TRIVANDRUM AND ERNAKULAM THERE IS NO STOP FOR THIS TRAIN.
I hope the respective authorities will understand our pain and immediately issue a stop for rajdhani express at kayankulam.
Kayankulam being the central point between trivandrum and ernakulam it is convenient for all the people in all the three districts.

I was a frequent traveller by the Rajadhani express.my first option to go by was always by Rajdhani.But few years ago, they have altogether degraded the quality of service in these trains that i now avoid going by trains altogether.The quality of food in Rajdhani Express is just pathetic.I used to frequently travel in long distance trains such as Trivandrum to NewDelhi Rajdhani Express.Do they think the passengers travelling in it are just worth of their degraded standards??The food course menu doesnt change, not even for once during te whole trip.Never, even when asked for, water bottles are delivered(not even one per day.May be they can get money by selling it somewhere outside).I had to buy water bottles for me and my family many a times from outside.Cleanliness remains just another question unanswerable.Its pity that they charge so much money for such a inhuman service.Like most of the government serices in India, this too lies in peril.
Sau main se Ninyanwe Baiman, phir bhi Mera Bharat Mahan

I was travelling by rajdhani express on 8th july 09, by train no 2309 rjpb rajdhani exp in ac/2 coach no- A2 . I saw after kanpur jn there was no water in both toilet, all toilet were very dirty, It was surprising for me. Again, I returned on 13 th july train no-2310 in same cach saw the glass of windows were full of dust and two rats and cockrows are moving on the surface. I call trai supritendent and file a complain against the authority. so, I feel the standerd of rajdhani express is degraded.

To attend personal social function at Delhi, I have booked three berths in Rajdhani Express train no. 2957 for Dt. 1/10/09 from Ahmedabad on 6/08/09 i.e. approximately two month earlier (copy of e-mail ticket enclosed)
Strangely, though two o[censored]s. Mr. Amratlal Shah and Mrs. Vasumati Shah were Senior citizen lower berths were not allotted and top of it my wife - women senior citizen - was allotted side upper berth no. 56 coach no. B4
On the day of travel on 1.10.09 when we boarded the train leaving Ahmedabad at 5:25 PM, we found that seat no. 56 alloted to Vasumati A. Shah was given to RAC passanger and there was no room to sit and we have to travel standing in coach. The TTE & Passanger rudly said "you shall seat on upper berth" As such though having conformed berth we could not get the room rather Railway collected money from two passengers’ for one berth and we were refused accomodation causing terriable inconvenience even after making due payment to Railway.
This is ridiculous behavior of Railway and is against natural justice irrespective of any Railway rule framed by silly administration.
I with this letter request the railway authority for
(i) To apologize for what has happended
(ii) Refund my ticket amount
(iii) Compensate for the inconvinance caused to a women senior citizen.
(iv) Improve the computer programme so that such issues are averted.
I request for suitable necessary action under intimation to me within 15 days or I will be compelled to approach Consumer Grievance Readressal Forum, Ahmedabad. I am marking the copy of letter to honorable members of railway board and minister hopping they will have some sensitivity for natural justice particularly for women senior citizen and will do the needful at the earliest to satisfaction.

Today I m travelling in rajdhani express from new delhi to ahmedabad dt. 26.11.2010 in the coach B- 5, I found a/c is not working properly. about food, 1) soope was unbearable for drink. 2) bed sheet was dirty, and also find some mosquito in the compartment.
My request is to check out above given point and take action on it.
