I worked for sodexo for about seven months. I enjoyed my job at une when I started catering. When I first started everything seemed good, until the superviser Mary house gave me attitude for no reason and was very rude. I went to my boss Ann Tracey and she said that she would talk to her and she did. As time went on Mary house went back to her old ways and belittled an employee and I. This lead the employee to give his two week notice who had been working their for a year and a half they said ok basically who cares. He told them what had happen and in the end they had Mary houses back they will not fire her she can't do what is in the job description. Mary can't lift and she's always having the employer and I doing the harder work cuz she is 60 and can't Handel it. Then I walked out about a week later because my boss Ann Tracey told me I couldn't use the van and I asked her why and she said because I said so. She is not professional at all. I didn't do anything wrong to be treated that way and I want respect. Sodexo is always talking about how good they treat their employees well at une Biddeford I can tell you know one feels that way even if they don't admit it. They are scared they will lose their jobs.

Star Bazaar, a grocery store in Kailash Colony Market, New Delhi is charging 3% extra on bill if the payment is done through Sodexo mean coupons. Note that all items are already billed at MRP. Then why should I pay extra 3% if paying through Sodexo Meal coupons?
The store has also put a poster saying that extra 3% will be charged for sodexo payments but does not add it to the bill.

There are two things now. How can a store charge a customer beyond MRP?
Is sodexo doing anything to address this situation? I do not see any consumer complaint section on Sodexo Website. I wonder how they work if their business depends on user customer satisfaction.

I have photographic proofs, which I could not upload in this complaint.

Can anyone suggest what should be done and how to take such matters so that consumers are not taken for granted?

From Jan 2012 all the super markets and retailers are refusing to accept the sudexo passes. Many of the companies provide sudexo as gifts or vouchers or bonus or as a part of the payment which we can redeem in these places. Till Jan 2012, we were not aware of this circular that all super markets and retailers are going to refuse sudexo passes. Now, all the people who earn sudexo as a part of their income are in a great fuss as they are unable to redeem the sudexo coupons where they were earlier used to. Then why sudexo company is not taking any steps so that at least some of these super markets and retailers accept these sudexo coupons.

Today I went to Big Bazaar and bought the monthly groceries and to my shock I found that Sodexo meal passes are not accepted and had to pay using my credit card and this is due to some issues with sodexo company as per the Big Bazaar personal. My company still gives me an Sodexo meal passes would like this issue to be resolved as this is not beneficial to anyone. As I will start going to small kirana stores from now as it makes no difference to me to go to food bazaar or any other store if I pay by cash.

The meal passes are still left with me and of no use if it is not accepted by any stores I also heard More, Trinetra, Food World Spencers, Heritage Fresh, Fresh @ all have stopped accepting Sodexo.

Hoping these merchants resolve the problem soon else every one will be at loss. As we will only go to small general stores to get things rather than such big shops.

most of the super markets are not accepting sodexo coupons from JANUARY 2012.....what to do with the coupons worth Rs.4000/- with us......

From 1st January 2012, many of these food bazaars(Big bazzar, More supermarket) will not accept Sodexhi meal passes.
Why such a decision is made and what do we do with those passes?

I have a Sodexo gift pass worth 1500. I went to a sweet house which is listed in the booklet provided in the Sodexo gift pass. The Owner of the Sweet house says " We don't accept Sodexo Gift Passes". I don't understand why these people playing with public.

Sodexo presents themselves as the food and enviormental services company for hospitals. However, any hospital should could consider the following information BEFORE choosing to conduct business or better yet, if you want YOUR HOSPITAL associated with a company who hides behind out-of-town training for managers to have opportunities for extra marital affairs. In particular, the District Manager and the Manager in San Diego.

A manager from Sodexo San Diego (for whom Sodeox purchased the company from her father and has no experience other than "sleeping her way up the ladder for the past 15 years" hires people and tells prospective employees "We have two conferences or trainings per year". The Fall Conference is paid by us but the Spring Conference you must pay for your spouses expenses". Sounds like a fair deal!!!

Three weeks before the "conference or training" an employee was informed it was generally "frowned" upon for spouse's to attend. One had to determine "what was the sudden change in mind and tone?"

It was later discovered the Manager from San Diego and District Manager have engaged in an inappropriate relationship (affair). In addition, both parties are married to other people. If you review the Sodexo website, you will see a pitiful Laura Frazer looking crazy. (don't go to litigation or termination, I have your emails). Laura, if you are unhappy with your husband, leave him. In addition, you District Manager's wife is innocent and it is "inappropriate" for you to sleep with her husband. I am the president of a professional women's association in San Diego. When a female has an "inappropriate relationship with a married man who is her supervisor (can't call you a professional woman) it casts a dark cloud on all women. We want to break the glass ceiling but girls like you make it difficult.

In summary, obtain a university degree and stay away from married men

I have gone through several compliant that users have posted against Sodexo meal vouchers. I would like to draw the attention of SODEXO as well as all users on the recent law behind meal vouchers and the risk that they are taking in using vouchers. Why is Sodexo putting the users at risk? I am sure most of the users are taking this risk due to ignorance of the law. But, Sodexo being in this business should take care of the users by informing them clearly. IRDA regulated insurance sector when the insurance companies were taking consumers to ride. Who is regulating voucher companies? At least the Income tax department should take the initiative...
As per the rules governing meal allowance ( refer Income tax site), meal voucher are tax exempt if the following conditions are fulfilled
1) Used for food and beverages only - No grocery allowed
2) Used during working hours by the employee
3) Spend Rs. 50 per meal only and not the entire booklet in one go
4) Can use them only in eating joints - (def.- eating joint in a place where people can sit and consume food)
5) Vouchers are non transferable

This means that majority of the users are using Sodexo meal vouchers illegally and are liable to legal action. I am sure users would chuck meal vouchers and be a law abiding citizen.

This rule has been released by Income tax department in Dec 2009 and hence I can understand that the users are not aware of the same. But isn't Sodexo or the Income tax department not aware of this?

Through this forum, i would like to urge all the complainant to talk to their company and take legal opinion rather than using meal vouchers and posting complaints wherein they themselves are flouting the law!

I have given sodexo meal passes from the company.
But when I tried to spend them in meerut in FOOD BAZAAR then they denied to accept them, saying the they are ban in meerut.
I have family in meerut only If I cannot spend them there then how can I use them ?

I had got a gift vocher of Rs 6000 from my company in Kolkata which got lost in Public place for which i have even registered FIR and has mentioned that the Sodexo pass of Rs 6000 was also misplaced.
I have contacted the sodexo Team at[protected] has told them about the same but they are always giving a standard answer that they cannot do anything about it. I have lost the entire Rs 6000 and it cannot be replaced.
I have also told them as it had a validity of 1yrs and if the same pass is not being used by anyone than atleast they can replace but still they are not listening to me and is not willing to help.

Pls suggest.

When I tried to use Sodexo Meal Pass at one of the outlets, I was asked to pay 5% extra of the total amount.

Please let me know if we need to pay extra than the actual amount then what does the coupon denominations mean.

Deepak General Stores near Dahisar (West) Station, is an affiliate of Sodexho vouchers. However they are very rude to customers who give them sodexho instead of cash. They also do not accept sodexho for some items as per their wish. The behaviour towards sodexho customers is very bad and insulting. If a customer wants to check the rate of any particular item which is not displayed it is not allowed. A customer has to directly purchase, the store owner will not tell him the price.

It is requested that action be taken so that all customers are treated equally.

your service is fine, but i'm facing problem from 1 and a half month, my internet connection is totally disastter, its connect for 5 min. and disconnect emmiditely. i had given complaint so may times in kalyan east office in katemanevali, but they dont KNOW about internet connection, they only know about telephone connetion, please do something for us, because we are paying for internet every month.

Hi,
I am working in a IT company where we had coupon system by Sodeho. We were given food coupon as a CTC part.
In the year 2007 the vendor was changed from Sodexho to a bank.It was told to us that whatever money we had in our Sodexho card, it will be given as part of salary post tax but I and my brother didn't get the money.

I had amount some near to Rs 4000/-.

When I contacted my company they said that they have not received any data from Sodexho about me.

After repeated follow up, my company assured that they will look into the matter and for that they asked our Sodexho card and we gave it.

Now no one is giving any reply.


Please suggets if we can file case against Sodexho in the consumer forum.

I’ve got the scratch coupon given in Sodexo Vouchers front page provided by my company.After scratching I found the it’s written you have won Benetton wrist watch as prize. They have mentioned a email address [protected]@gift360.in to claim the product. I've send a mail to the address mentioned. I recieved a reply stating you need to pay Rs. 500 INR as the charge of Free Gift and after paying this amount you'll get the product in 24 days.

This is to bring to your I got a sodexo gift coupon with a scratch card from my company in which I have won a "Pearl Set" of worth Rs.2990.00, and its product code is > 0oo2. I have tried many times to logon to the website given in the pass to redeem the gift but its not working (www.avamerchandising.com/sodexooffers.html). Even tried with the numbers mentioned in the coupon; which is always engaged or not reachable. I think the so called coupons issued by the company (Sudexo) does not hold any authenticity. Appropriate action may be taken for cheating the customers.

We received sodexo coupons where in i won an Louis watch as gift . So as to avail this gift we have to log onto http://www.avamechandising.com/sodexooffers.html

But actually this site does'nt exist at all . Now this is ridiculous ...its the company's means to make customers fool and iam sure this company will come to know the impact of such a behaviour really soon .

what da [censored] this peoples doing with customers, i have two sodexo passes on my hand. in which i won two gifts louis watch and pearl set. but the site does not exist for win the same gifts. i am going to sue complint on this in consumer forum as soon as posible. any body from this company hearing or reading this complaint provide the solution as soon as possible
