Namasthe,
I am a student of class10. This is with reference with the unexpected differences in question paper, with varying difficulty levels in class 10. Set-3 was the most difficult set in science and social science according to many. Set-1 candidates enjoyed the most easiest paper in all the exams. Apart from denying students an equal opportunity to prove themselves, this system has also created disbelief in "it is handwork that determines success". Students now tend to relate their results more with fate rather than an opportunity to know where they stand. This resembles a running race with different start points and expecting all the runners to reach the same destination at the same time.
This is not all, the students who receive a particular set will have to put up with it for all exams. How are we, the students who received set-3 and set-2 in any way from the student who had the joy of getting set 1? As class 10 is the begging of our intense education such shock is a real disadvantage to us. "luck" is out of the syllabus, so we shouldn't be assessed of it.
Imagine how will a student feel, after spending the whole year studying comes to know she will not receive what she deserves just because she got the most difficult set?
This will also induce fear in the up coming board candidates for sure. The irony of studying about equality in subject like social science and facing inequality in the examination of the same is not desirable.
Providing grace marks for the difficult sets, according to me is the only viable solution. As this situation is serious, i request the cbse to look at this issue and do the necessary.
Ps: the above content is just an opinion after taking opinion from the students i know and my own opinion.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Ajitha

MY daughter is facing the same situation. I too have posted a same kind of grirvance may be to deaf ears . But with a hope that in future academic years at least this situation doesn't arise. My daughter is still upset after yesterday Sst paper set 3. They are forcing children to believe in luck than sincere hard work. Please Please let this not repeat. It's a humble request from a deeply hurt parent
