[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband — Cancellation after Delay

I have enrolled for an Airtel Broadband Connection on 22 June 2013. I was told by the local Airtel executive that the connection would be installed within 4 days from then. Whenever I was calling customer care asking for status, I was told that there is 2 more days delay expected. But all of a sudden after 2 weeks of wasting my time, I was told that there is not network feasibility in my area. I don't understand how they can keep the customer waiting for so long (longer than what their policy say) and how the local Airtel executive didn't warn me that there no network connectivity in the area that he manages.

AirTel — Broadband order

I ordered broadband on the 191/10/2008, issued a cheque of 1600 (2months subscription ) but still dont have my connection .

It takes only 3 days for the setup, i have nt heard back from anyone and to top it all the cheque issued got cleared .

The customer care guys shuffled me from one department to other
n i m still waitin at the mercy of airtel to give me my connection .

As a consumer is this all i can do ?

AirTel — Broadband Delay

I have applied for Airtel broadband connection 22/Feb/2009, (It was for very urgent purpose that is the only reason I has chosen private provides).

Sales guy Chandramohan from airtel came to my home, collected the money and all the required documents in the same day (surprise he came on Sunday?????).
Till now he is not attending my calls NO RESPONSE !!! he told me with in 2 days I’ll be getting connection!!!

I was trying to launch a complaint in customer care in the same week, but they said with in 7 days I can’t launch a complaint, I would take 7 days to complete the work. I don’t know why Chandramohan had given FALSE COMMITMENT like 2 days?

3 times I went to Airtel guindy Chennai office, I met Mr Babu, I got bit response but no use. I got only PVC pipes and wires, what can I do with these???

Meanwhile I had launch a complaint also in customer service (Service Request No:[protected] [useless service…..]

I called Tech engineer Mr Bahsha he told me he don’t have a “pair”, I don’t know what it is? With out pair why these people are taking ORDERS?
now he is also not attending my phone calls.

Will I get my net connection or bills?

I asked for the cancellation of airtel broadband
the said it wil take not more than 7 days
now it has been more than 15 days no sign of them .
they said all the item such as modem wire etc and more wil all be taken in 7 days
but no one came .
i want them to cancel my airtel connection asap .

It is for your kind information that on 22/5/2010 we booked a braodband wide there form no.610919 dt.22/5/2010.
for which we had paid advance payment of rs.2000 wide chq. no.670527 of icici bank dt.22/5/2010 which is encashed from our bank.

in there form no. 610919 they had promised that they will install the broadband upto 28/5/2010 by there executive Rajesh whose c.p. code is21838
but inspite of contacting them so many times they dint inform us that they cant install it in our area because D.P. is not available. and because of there assurance we disconnected our BSNL broadband also and after that when we finally told them to install it that time they were saying us that its not possible to connect broadband connection and also told us to give us more customers so that a new D.P. should get installed, infact we had already gave him one more coustomer but he was asking for more.

Sir, during the time when our broadband was disconnected we had to face a lot of problem. The study of my son suffered alot and he has to use d cafe. so you r requested to ask the company to pay the compensation of harassment, along with our deposited money to the company of rs2000 along with interest and also the time we had wasted with there executive, on disconnecting BSNL connection and then re-installing it has no compensation.

sir you are requested to advice the company that they should not harass there coustomers like this.

Airtel Broadband — Airtel Broadband Cancellation

Hi

I am Ananth Prabhu. I used to have a Airtel Broadband Internet + Phone connection at my old address in Ghatkopar Mumbai. I had to shift to a new address in Mumbai In the first week of July 2010 and since the Customer service executive told me that it would take 2 weeks for a connection movement - i took a new connection at my new address.

I also requested that my old connection be canceled in Mid July. I provided the customer care executive my new address to arrange for the old modem / telephone pickup etc. I even received a Pro rata bill in July and hence i assumed that the connection had been canceled.

However, 2 months later around end of September / Start of October - I started getting harassed for payment of pending dues on this Phone / Internet connection. I explained them that I had requested cancellation long ago and that I had taken a new airtel connection again. I was told that - since I had taken a new airtel connection - all i needed to do was provide with the new number and the cancellation would take effect. This happened atleast 10 times from the start of October to November end.

Even after this I kept getting further calls - and at the end I got fed up and called up the 121 service number. The customer service executive explained - that the Airtel customer service system had undergone an upgrade in July end / August start and hence my 'in-flight' cancellation request might have got lost. He then took a new cancellation request and put in the full story behind my case.

Soon, after I got a compromise call from some Customer service executive who asked me to pay up Rs. 1,894 for August. I explained about the pro-rata bill in July. I was told that she would talk to her supervisor and get back to me - which never happened.

Since then - the service charge has gone up to 7.5k Rupees - for a connection I haven't used - which I had requested cancellation on time.

Even though I have raised multiple complains about the same and even tried mailing [protected]@airtel.in - I haven't gotten a satisfactory reply / explanation on why my connection wasn't canceled and as to why I received a pro-rata bill in July - if i hadn't requested for a cancellation. Even if i were to assume that the initial cancellation didn't go through - even after talking to 20 (or probably more) customer service executives since September - none of them cared to make sure that the connection would get canceled - while I complained about the wrong billing / cancellation etc.

The only wrong thing I did here was that I didn't keep the cancellation number from July - since I assumed that Airtel would ethically proceed with my cancellation request.

I am now being completely HARASSED for 7.5K for no mistake of mine.

I am fed up with the indifference being shown by the customer care and am forced to post on the forums. Request the kind attention of Airtel Broadband on the same.

airtel net — delay in connection

i ve taken Rs799 unlimted 1mbps plan . i ve paid 800 on 7th march 2011 to sales executive srinivas mob no:[protected]. he said that he ll make connection in 48hrs but stil didn't. my cef no:hy 299475. i want u 2 take immediate action otherwise return my amount in 24hrs. if not i will take my appropriate action.

AirTel — Cancellation of Broadband

Hi

I have given for cancelation 24 hours before and i went to T Nager office to submit my land line........ They are saying not accepted as it is still acctive the belive system and say go back and come after 7 days,,
Why are these people sitting in the showroom A/C whole day.... to have fun????
They can take the instrument and say we do the needful.
They say go to customer care 198 No

When I called them I spoke to 9 people in total and not one was kind to customer.

The lady says throw the instrument outside and go.
when i asked explanation in the counter that How many people do i have to explain the counter says we dont know.

there is no connection between the Customer Care 198 and the counter.

They call themself Airtel Group

They are very bad behaviour and T NAGAR manager says " I DONT want to HEAR your problem" for submiting the No....

My Land line No is 42125929....

If I call 198 they put me on hold for 15 min for one simple canclelation
HOW CAN WE BELIVE SUCH SERIVE.
NOW I AM SURE THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE ME PAY EXTRA AND GIVE ME TROUBLE.

only my Monye and time is wasted...

Airtel Broadband — Delay In installation

I have approached airtel broadband for connection on 4th Aug 2011. Till date they have not installed the connection. When contacted several times in showroom and thro mobile they are not bothered and asked me to cancel the request of getting connection. Several mobile calls to installation manager and others has resulted in vein. I request others not to think of purchasing airtel broadband when other options are available in the market. I am awaiting the payment made for connection after cancellation.

sir we had made complain for cancellation of airtel broadband service for land line number [protected] on 28the nov 2012 as service was not upto the mark. but till date it has not been disconnected and we are receving only bill every month, customer care person are not taking it seriously and making us fool every-time, now theey are asking us to pay bill of 1805 rs otheerwise theey wont disconnect. sir as we had made complain on 28the nov n theey delayed in cancellation so it is not our fault. so kindly look into thee matter and take it seriously hope for better reply and positive reply

Airtel Broadband — regarding cancellation

WE had complain for cancellation for broadband service on 28th nov 2011 for land line number [protected] but still it hasn't been disconnected and every month we are getting the bill and they don't answer properly and dnt reply to phone also every time they make false statement only they will disconnect the call also in between will arguing against them we denied for justice. MR.manjunath tells us that if you continue with service then your bill will be resolved but if don't continue with service you have to pay your bill. MR.santhosh told us that concern person will will visit you home within 24 hours for cancellation but no one has come for that purpose. We are students so they call during college time and argue with us that your phone are not reachable so please help us . We wait for justice

Airtel — Cancellation of broadband

I just want airtel to cancell my broadband line no[protected].
Simple they don't want to do it.
Please help me cancell this line, I have been after them from 10/09/12.
