[Resolved]  Airtel — Cheating and Closing Request Without addressing them

I had raised a request initially for relocation of Airtel DTH service. This request, I was told, has two parts, one the de-installation and second the installation at the new place. The de-installation was done promptly, and I was not able to install at the new place because there was pending cabling work at my new place. The engineer assured me that once the cabling is done I could call him and fix an appointment.

Everything goes wrong after this. The cabling at my place is done and try and reach out to the engineer and he keeps coming up with excuses, and eventually stop responding to the calls. So then I go to customer care with two requests, one get the installation done and two get my SD set top box upgraded to DVR - HD set top box, they assure me that two days is the ETA for the requests. From then on every day or every two days I'm asked to create a new request as the ones I previously created get closed by the service/field team. These tickets gets closed without even getting a confirmation from me.

During this is going go, Airtel DTH comes up with a plan to milk some more money off me. An executive Ronald (contact numbers[protected] and [protected]) calls me and says he would sent an engineer in 6 hours if I recharge my account. So then I recharge my account with my monthly recharge amount (Rs. 572). After this I'm told that I was supposed to recharge with the cost of the DVR - HD set top box (Rs. 5740). I do that as well, and now I've recharged worth Rs. 6312 (572 + 5740). Once this done I never hear from Ronald, and he does not respond to my calls, and it has now been 3 days since the payments have been made. I'm now sitting here raising requests after requests which gets automatically closed after every day or every 2 days. I feel mugged. I feel there is more honour is mugging than what these guys are doing. The CSE blames the service/field team for closing the requests, they say they will excalate the request, but how do I make sure that they do? How do I get this to a higher authority than the CSE? The CSE says that I can't even directly approach their supervisors... These guys loots money for customers and makes them beg to get the entitled services...

Please help.

Airtel — CHEATING & poor customer services

I have received SMS on 8 july recharge with 190Rs and get 190 talk time.I recharge my mobile ([protected])same day but till now i could not get full value i receive only 170.After many complains(complain no 125846) i have not received the same.They every time says wait for 2-3 days your problem will solve.Today customer service says you can not get the balance.I think this is CHEATING with customers.Why they do SMS like this if they do not give it.

Airtel DTH — Cheated by Airtel

I have contacted Airtel DTH call centre number ([protected]) and asked for a details for dish tv connection. it has been told by airtel executive that if i pay though telephone i will get connection within 24-48 hrs. So i paid Rs. 4090 amount through telephone payment gateway. i got confimation of my trascation id and confirmation. since then i am waiting for Airtel feedback. I called airtel call centre almost 6 times and tried to receive information but no one is answering and enable answer my call. I feel like cheated by Airtel. I also got a feel that a racket operating within the airtel call centre operating a big scam.
i AGREE. I HAVE BEEN CHEATED OF 4040/- RUPEES FOR INSTALLATIONOF AIRTEL DTH TOO.
NO ONE IS RESPONDING TO MY CALLS FOR IT.

Airtel DTH — Cheating on Installation Information

Hi,

I first gave a call to 12150 (airtel DTH Customer Care) asking for DTH details as I was interested in taking a new account. I confirmed from airtel that my connection will be given within 48 hours. I also mentioned that I am available only after 6pm, they said it will be done in 48 hours based on my timing preference.

So based on this info, i ordered online for my airtel DTH at 8pm 19/10/2010. I got a call morning from airtel mentioning that I would get me connection at 6pm 21/10/2010. But following that call I got a message from airtel mentioning that I would get it at 22/10/2010 at 1 pm. I would not available at 1 pm and it was not what was agreed on.

When I called 12150 customer care, they kept repeating that slot is not free. They mentioned that I would only be getting the connection on 25/10/2010 (name of the customer service agent is Asif Khan as mentioned by him). I require a connection within the 48 hour i.e. with in 8pm 21/10/2010 or the refund of the money paid. Please help me out with this.

Airtel DTH — Airtel DTH cheated me

I just bought airtel dth on 02 Jan. 2011 that too their ultra pack with recorder system for full one year in advance payment through credit card. But after installing it they said we don't have any radio channels. When I showed them the channel list printout taken from their website they just changed their website on 05 Jan. 2011 and said no we are not offering any radio channels. And when i said that then i don't want your DTH connection then and refund me back my money. They straightway said, No we cant cancel your registration and even if we cancel your registration, no refund will be provided to me. So I urge everyone who read this that never fall in the trap of Airtel. They are such a fraud company. I'm having tata sky from the last 3 years and never had any problem. It was my bad luck that i Thought of shifting to airtel. But I am not going to spare them. I will file a case against them as I have got all the airtel website printouts, mails and sms of them.

You had demanded 48hrs time to resolve the issue. Always first do your homework before writting anything. Haven't you read that "I had mailed you all the details". Have you commented anything? And you are saying that your issue has been resolved.
Airtel is real fraud. Don't ever fall in the trap of Airtel. They will do anything to make you their customer but once you became their customer, then they make you to resort to every means for resolving ones complaint. The Airtel company is really like a mouse trap. Now you can very well see my state that how much attention they give to their customer. That even after ten days, I'm still running around them. What happens to you Mr.Rakesh Ranga? You were claiming that my issue has been resolved. Now where have you gone?

First of all I would like to thanks to administrators of this site who allow us to raise customer's voice while sitting at home and secondly [protected]@gmail.com who support me and as soon as they offer me legal help, the Airtel refunded my money back. I'm grateful to both in solving my problem.
Now I would like to comment on Airtel's attitude towards customer. This company really don't care about customer ("customer satisfaction" is not in their dictionery). I've seen in this episode that in Airtel there is such a work culture that each and every employee of Airtel tries to fool customer and always tells a lie. And their employees are so committed to Airtel that they always try to prove that "CUSTOMER IS WRONG". As in my case as you can see that even if I had shown them their website printouts but even then they are so committed that no sir you are wrong and we are right. And I'm not talking about their DTH services, in every service whether its mobile or its landline they just make the customer to run around them. There is lot more to write but I think its the enough message for the Airtel as well as general public that please always think 100 times before entering in any deal with Airtel.

airetl never answer meail from customers neighther their website is customer freindly. No cahlnnel details for advance rental opack.Borthure for basic packs disapperade from website.

Airtel DTH — Poor Customer Service & Cheating

I’m a frustrated customer of Airtel Digital TV service. I’m in touch with their virtually non-functional call centre, to add the below channels.

1. Captain TV
2. Vasanth TV
3. Movies Now &
4. Gemini TV
I spoke to their CSR on Saturday and he informed me that my complaint would be resolved before 12:00 PM Monday (21st March 2011). But until now no action has been taken.

I spoke to their CSR on Monday to only hear that the complaint would get resolved by 3:00 PM. But nothing happened.

When I called their call centre today, your CSR told me that, all the channels would be charged & he will intimate a technical person to re-align the antenna to face Satellite-2 to get the above channels before 3:00 PM today.

As usual, this also did not happen. Can someone take action so that this complaint is addressed @ the earliest.

I sent a mail to them nothing happened.

When I again contacted their call centre they again registered a complaint hopefully they might resolve it.

I got a heart break when the customer service agent told that I'm not eligble for two months additional subscription even thought I paid a annual subscription fee to avail this offer.

He's telling me that I should have called their call centre to make this change & I told him I did that, he's saying me I can't help it. Now I'm helpless.

Airtel — complaint on DTH not responded promptly

My Airtel DTH (No.[protected]) was connected last December'2009. Service is quite ok except the following -

(1) Since last 2/3 months the set top box is not working properly. A few days back, company service person came and set right; but after some hours it has stoped working. They suggested to replace it which I agreed. But it is now three days they have not turned up. As a result, me and my family are not going to enjoy today's most important cricket.

(2) On the other hand, the airtel advertisements coming to my mobile are very very very disturbing.

Requested for necessary redressal please.

1) Adithya TV - 517
2) Captain TV - 518
3) Vasanth TV - 519
4) Set Max

I am getting Adithya and Set Max whereas I couldnt see Captain and Vasanth. It is saying still I have to subscribe. But the cost has deducted for all the 4 chanels. Let me know why it is happening ?
Please resolve this as soon as possible

Airtel executive who come to install dtv asked me to give 200 rupees though the installation is free.
And when we asked that for what this money is they said its cable(wire) charges. And conceal charges.

Airtel DTH — Cheating the payment

Hi,

I am Vivekanandan C. I am using Airtel for more than one service. I am using Airtel for my prepaid mobiles, Postpaid landlines and Broadband connections and also for my DTH. On 21 March 2012 I made a payment for a Recharge. For that payment they sent me a mail having the following details Invoice Number, Product Code, Product, Amount. That's All and It doesn't have the Transaction ID. Unfortunately My DTH is not recharged so I dialed the customer care. They told me to provide the transaction ID and hang off the phone suddenly without any notification to hanging off. They also locked my option to contact customer care through customer care number. I called them only once, for that they locked my option to cantact customer care? They are not providing correct solution for this. I need solution for this issue. I can go forward for this case to any extent. Also tell me How to file a court case against them.
