[Resolved] Airtel Digital TV — Money getting deducted without prior notice and receipt | |||
Hi, I am Dr.Natabar Panigrahi.I am an existing customer of airtel digital tv with customer id [protected]. First of all my set top box repeatedly getting fault for some times. Even after so many complain the customer care paid less attention. Again my set top box got problem after the warranty period got expired. In the mean while I recharged my account for value sports for one year and paid for HD top-up for 1 yr(45Rs p.m X 12). As my set top box was not proper so an engineer fro airtel came and told to replace the set top box. He himself took 150 for his visiting charge and I gave it by hand. In my account there were 190 rs left. That was deducted and i have been told to pay additional 160 (summing up to 350) as my set top box got replaced. i paid the additional 160 at local airtel office in Balasore. But after 8 months(now in February) my set top box is displaying that my validity is going to end in feb 22nd. When i asked the customer care I got replied that 350 Rs has been deducted from my account for the set top box replacement (though i have paid it by hand). So my HD top up package is going to end in feb 22nd. i can't understand why 350 is deducted twice for one rime set top box replacement .Also each time amount got deducted from my account for any reason is not informed prior to it. No receipt is provided for any transaction also. I request the respective authority to take steps against airtel for this matter. Was this information helpful? | |||

Airtel DTH — Top ups added without any request and money deducted without informing
I would like to bring in the notice of all consumers and concerned officials that our money is not safe in the Airtel account. These people can deduct any amount of money at any time.My customerID is [protected]. I have purchased DTH on 1st Dec 2009, and I chose Economy Package. MTV is part of the Economy Package but I was not receiving the signal so I raised the complaint to Customer Care, they told that my complaint will be resolved within 48 hours. Within 48 hours I was able to receive the MTV signals.
But to my shock my account is deducted with X amount, when I called Customer Care again and enquired about that X amount, they told that since you are not receiving the MTV signals so on my behalf they have added the MTV top up and deducted the amount from my account and that too without informing me. This is just disgusting that if you were not receiving any channel signal which you are supposed to receive as a part of package, the Airtel technical support will check which top-up have that channel and they will do the top-up blindly. I raised the complaint again and there was no resolution till the time.
Is this the way the Airtel resolves the technical issues?
Also. let me tell you that this has happened before also that's why I closely watch my account balance because I know my money is not safe. When I raised the complaint for the first time then I got assurance that this will never happen again and no amount will be deducted without informing me. But this has happened again because they know that I cannot do anything as I have spent big initial amount which is non-refundable and I have to use their service without any choice as I cannot switch to any provider. This is clear case of customer/consumer exploitation.
Airtel DTH — No Installation of DTH Connection [CustomerID - 3002259291]
This is Puneet Singhal, customer of Airtel DTH having customer ID – [protected].I recently shifted from Hyderabad to Ghaziabad(NCR), so I have to move my airtel DTH connection. Connection was de-installed in Hyderabad satisfactorily. Now, I have placed a request to re-install the connection at my new premise but it is a week now and no progress has been done on this. Moreover, daily my airtel account is getting debited for the service which I am not using.
On repeated calling to customer care, I always get reply that it will be done tomorrow but that tomorrow has never come till now. It is very disappointing to see this kind of service response from Airtel.
I am writing in the hope that soon some action will be taken on this because all other means have failed to do so.
Kindly look into this matter ASAP.
AirTel — Deducting money without prior notice
Airtel has activated Friendz Chat service without asking for my permission and have also deducted rs 30 for it. Not only this they also activated two other services and are charging me for those as well while I am unwilling to use these services and dont want them in the first place leave alone paying for those sick services.Airteldigitaltv — no feedback about my deduct payment

Airtel — took our stb without proper reason
Hello,Airtel people took away our stb and remote telling that we will change it and give new latest stb in 3 days as its good to change stb every 6 months and they will do that for every customer.a lady called us from the no.[protected].on the fouth day i've called this no. they are not lifting our call.and when i called customer care they are telling i've requested for disconnection so they have taken away our stb in that way.

Airtel — money deducted without notice
Respected sir,I am a air tel mobil user my number is [protected] todat i.e on 28-5-09 at 6.39 pm i got a message for 64611099 saying that RS 99/- has been deducted from your mobil for downloading JAVA games, sir but i had not download any game aor i didnot ask tham to send the games lindly do justice and see that my amout Rs 99/- to be get back to my account.
