Respected Sir,

This is my first experience with your DTH service and worst experience for me as a customer with any of the organisation. I applied for DTH service 5 days ago. At that point in time sales people were very nice. But person who was supposed to come in a day to collect that money came 2 days late. Then i was told that installation will be done in 48 hours. Its being more than 50 hours noone came to my place. When tried to confirm the status with same people in Mumbai call canter people were very rude. Were not even ready to give me their names. My calls have been disconnected 5 times i am trying the same number [protected] sine 10.30 am. Two of them gave me their names Nikhad a girl and a boy donot remember his name. When i said i want to talk to any supervisor. They said no manager is available and they disconnected the call. One person talked to me as a supervisor after conversation he said he is an agent an cannot transfer the call to supervisor. All people were rude, unprofessional and had casual behavior. everyone of them advise me that i will receive a call in half an hour but didnot receive any call. i am totally fed up and have spent more than 100 Rs on phone calls to them. the i got another number of Noida center. executive named Sonia tried to help me and provided me a number 12148 saying they donot have any record for Rs 999 plan. When i talked to executive on this number. Again my calls got disconnected twice around 12.30pm after introduction. Then associate advised that i will receive a call n two hours and by the end of the day it will get installed. I have not even started the service and this is the treatment i have been given. Please provide me solution. Now the only option left to me is that i should go to consumer forum with Payment receipt and call details and should ask for all calls recordings from your end.

I can bet that Airtel Digital TV customer service is the WORST among all other service providers.
I have applied for an Airtel Digital TV and still have not got installed it and just waiting for them as with AIRTEL Customer is not the King he is the Slave. And despite repeated confirmation from the Airtel Customer Support, the same digital TV has still not been installed.

The other side, the Customer care number is always busy and the person Mr. Jeteen ( The one in Airtel Stores in Malviya Nagar ) with whom i have bought up the Airtel DIGI TV has now switched off his cell phone and no one in the Store is answering the same.

I Request you all people to avoid using airtel services for a peaceful life

My Airtel Digital TV customer id:[protected]. I have requested for shifting for connection on 5th July in a same apartment but different building. I have paid 600rs and shifting has been done on 6th July. I have started requesting for change of package from 7th July till 21st August. They told me to stay in particular channel for 45 minutes. I did whatever they said. Finally they said the request for shifting was not closed, because of that they were not able to change the package.After my continuous calls to airtel after one month, On 15th August they have raised an request for solving the issue request no:937086. Without solving the issue they closed the case on 17th August.
After contacting them numerous time again they created another request :954147 on 20th promising it will be resolved with in 24 hours. when contacted after 24 hours they have created another request 957757 on 21st. And the same night around 8'0clock they have disconnected the whole connection. And the customer service person said just keep the channel 999 on for 45 min and the service will work again. I did the same again, nothing happened.then I contacted CC again, they said that they have updated the case and the service will be working from 22nd 12:00pm onwards. But that didnt happened. so contacted the CC and the representative put me on Hold for 59:minutes 37 seconds, finally I have disconnected and contacted again. the another representative connected me to some senior manager, she promised me before 7:00 pm on the same day my service will be activated. and on the evening 7:30 nothing happened and I received message that my service was deactivated due negative balance, since I had 390.50 rs on my account. Then Another person from Delhi called me and introduced himself from HR? Department and promised me my service will be activated within 24 hours. Now it is Monday 24th August Nothing happened.

i am advising everyone. AIRTEL IS THE WORST OF ALL SERVICE PROVIDER. I have been a airtel customer for last 7 year. I am so ashamed to have gone for this connection. NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE I AM GOING TO SUGGEST ANYONE FOR AIRTEL, ESPECIALLY FOR DIGITAL TV. EVEN THOUGH IT IS FREE

This is by far the worst customer service department I have seen in any company. I have had to speak them several times or attempt to speak to them for many issues in the past 8 months. It seems like they are a very poor standard company who are interested only in selling the product.

I am going to throw it away and buy another DTH product from a reliable brand. I am also going to throw away my sim card from airtel. I regret for making a poor decision before and will never engage with Airtel or associated companies anymore. I am going to tell all the people I know about my bad experiences and stop them from buying anything from airtel.

I hope you all feel the same. Let's boycott the company which doesn't have any business ethics.
Worst customer service/ please do not opt this even if you get at free of cost

I have taken AIRTEL DIGITAL TV (biggest mistake I believe).
I have taken the Economy package (1750/- initially and 200/- per month).
I have paid 1750/- on 2nd may to the distributor and asked them to do the installation as soon as possible.
3rd May afternoon at around 1-30 PM AIRTEL engineer came and installed the equipments’.
After that i checked in the evening that i am not getting the channels. I called up AIRTEL DIGITAL TV customer care and they told me there are some technical issues and the problem will be resolved within 1 hour.
I waited for 1.5 hours and called up again when saw that the problem is not yet resolved.
They said 'Tomorrow morning you problem will be solved for sure'.
Next day morning i.e. 4th May evening i checked and saw there are no channels again.
I called up Customer care again. That person told me 'Your problem will be solved by tomorrow morning for sure.'
Nothing happened next day also.
I asked them to raise a service request on my behalf. That person said he is not able to raise a service request as there is some problem in server.
I called up 3 times on 6th May. First time they said it will be solved within 1 hour. 2nd time they said within 30 mins it will be resolved. Third time they said it will be solved by tomorrow morning for sure.
Nothing happened next day morning also. I called up again and they said it will be solved by next day evening 5-30 PM (8th May). Nothing happened.
I called up customer care again they said it will be solved next day by 5-30 PM. Means 9th May.
One of there so called engineer called me at around 4 PM. He came to my home with his so called assistant. That so called engineer again called up someone and said that my STB is not functional.
By that time he got one more call from another customer.
He told me that he will be back within 30 mins and left my home at around 5 PM. All these happened on 9th May.
Today its 10th May. Till now that so called engineer's 30 mins are not over.



"Now I feel, choosing AIRTEL DTH is the biggest mistake I have done.
These AIRTEL people don’t know anything once they get the money. "Customer can go to hell. We have the money now" - that’s what is there thinking i believe.
I am really feeling I have been harassed by these AIRTEL people.
Not sure how can they still be there in the market. They are the worst DTH provider i have ever seen."

I had raised a complaint today morning that there was a blip on the set box box and the TV was flickering due to this and service request number is 4879587
First of all I had to make 2 three calls to get to them @ 12150 . The the customer service executive tried helping me out to no avail . Seemed as if they were reading through teh FAQS rather than listenfing to my concern

However she informed that they will send an engineer and that it is a paid service and that they will charge rs 100 to which I said no

After 4 hours , an engineer came to my home(Don't know his name) and by mere looking at teh set top box said that this needs to be replaced and the charge will be rs 500 extra apart from rs 100 of visit charges

He said the teh box was installed on 7th Dec and hence it is out of warranty by some 17 days and he cannto do anything

I called customer service again . To my utter dismay first executive names Anand listerned to it . May be he did nto comprehend english and hence he hung up on me

Second time a decent lady took the call and kept on repeating that you can send an email to [protected]@airteltv.in and that they cant do anything I asked her that why should I pay a second time if I have already paid 2500 for my set top box and since we use it through remote this is their fault . that ways we will only be paying rs 500 each year .
On asking that if I may be allowed to speak to some supervisor rather than sending an email so that I can get a resolution I was told that they will also give the same information

ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE OF AIRTEL DIGITAL TV . I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY TV SERVICE TO TATA FOR SURE . NOW WITH THIS AT LEAST MY HOUSEHOLD WILL TREAD TO THINK ON AIRTEL

I PURCHSED AIRTEL DIGITAL TVONLINE. THE INSTALLATION HAPPENED 2 DAYS AFTER AND THAT TOO INCOMPLETE. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE INSTALLTION TO BE COMPLETED. THE ENGINNER EVEN DISABLED MY TATA SKY INSTALLATION.

EVEN THE NUMBER OF THE SERVICE ENGINEER THAT CAME WAS INVALID.

I am Pavan Kumarv Tangar, my Airtel digital tv account: [protected] and i have complaint about my Airtel TV is not properly working. My request reference no. is 5756254. when i talk customer care he told me that a engineer will come to my home till last 3:30 PM but he will not come when i again call to customer care they provide a mobile no. ([protected]) but when I call this no. it continuously engaged about 2 hours finally he attend the phone when as I start to talk the engineer, the phone will be disconnected by him and again he has engaged.
I am highly dissatisfy your sevice there is no response till know.
Airtel has to be the worst provider of services especially for the Digital TV. I have made a complaint 14 days ago during peak of ICC world cup. The airtel call center/customer services is the most dificult to get through. One has to make complaints between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM else, the calls keep getting cut.

On getting through, they give you a service number and say they will have the problem fixed in a day. No calls for 4 days. After repeated attempted, i get through to the customer service center. I get another service number and was promised that my problems with the receiver would be fixed. Then after 2 days, i get a call from the service personnel. I stated that my box is not working and he says that they have to get a new box and they don't have any in stock and it would take a couple of days. waited patiently for more days.

Finally, I get the someone to replace the box. They says it would cost Rs.300 to change the box which i even agreed to pay. The box is fixed and the person says it takes 2 hours to activate. he then charges me Rs.100 as service charges (which was very strange). I did pay as the promise of watching the ICC world cup was overwhelming. The i get a error message (error code - 14), stating that the view card does not match the set top box. The service person stated that the i would start receiving the signals in 2 hours and left with the Rs.100.

The issue still has not been resolved (29th of March). I tried calling the service person several times but cannot reach them. The number given was [protected] (John) has to be the worst service agent.

Now, i'm thinking of canceling aitel dth and getting a tata sky even though i recharged my account in Feb 2011 (balance 3400+). I feel bad that i had recommended airtel to a lot of people.

Your Distributor is fake. service given by them is bad.
main ne 180 ka recharge karwa to apka distributor 10 rupees extra charge karta hai or 170 ka hi recharge kerta hai .or puchhane per ke 10 rupees kyo charge karte ho to kahta hai ye hum charge ker rahe hai company nahi.or jab mene pucha ke aap extra charge kyo ker rahe ho to bolta hai company se bat karo or fir bolta hai ke 10 rupees ke liye company aapki bat nahi sunegi...

I think in that area sirf ye distributor hi recharge karta hai to hum or kahi recharge bhi nahi karwa sakte.
so i want to need my problem will be solved becouse bat 10rupees ki nahi chori ki hai jo aapke distributor(company) ke Dwara ki jarhi hai.
if that problems not be solved than i left your service and buy another DTH product from a reliable brand and I am going to tell all the people I know about my bad experiences and stop them from buying anything from airtel.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Highly unprofessional people / worst service

I bought Airtel DTH on 28th June. They told me that it'll be installed on the next day. I called all possible phone numbers and after making almost 20 calls, they did installation on 2nd July. The installation did not work but the guy left saying that it'd work in 20 min. Of course it did not work. After that I called their central number, they said that someone will come by 10 AM, nobody showed up, called again, gave another time 5:30 PM. I'm not sure whether someone will come.

Before that whenever I called them, they would say that the installation will be done tomorrow without even asking for details about me. I have never seen this kind of customer service in my life. When I asked for the number for their higher management, they said they cannot give.

Here are the various phone numbers I called:
[protected]central number, they take complaint everytime, nothing happens, talked to Irfan)
[protected]installation office, always promise engineer will be sent but he won't show up.)
[protected]/58 (these guys sold it to me and then disappeared, they will pick onece if you call them 10 times and then will say that installation will happen tomorrow without taking any details, talked to Sanjay, Aarti, if you try to ask how do you know the details of installation when you don't know my name, they'd put the phone down.

They gave me a complaint number 9607051.
I have Tata Sky and Dish TV also in my house. I have never seen these issues with them at all. Looks like Airtel does not care about their customers.

There was no phone call from airtel for anything. You need to initiate all the calls. Basically you pay the money and they oblige you.

I used Airtel Digital TV(ADTV) from march 2010 and i was quite satisfied with the service and i decided to upgrade to HD DVR by july 2011. I paid through online and the product was installed on 4th july.
After 1 week the picture got shaking in some channels like Discovery, TLC, Jaya Max etc. then i called the distributor who installed the STB and he said the person who replaced the LNB may not fixed correctly. He sent that same person and he said the position of the dish is changed and i need to pay for the visit. But actual problem was with LNB which he didnt fixed in right position. I argued with the distributor and finally paid Rs. 100/-. From 13th august most of the channels went off and shows No Signal B001 error. I again called the distributor and explained the problem and told to send any other person. He promised to send a guy on 16th as 14 and 15 were holiday, but no response from him. Then i called CC and complained the problem they sent request number by SMS and after 1 day i will again receive an SMS as issue resolved. But there was no calls from distributor or service person. I asked to take back the product and refund the money on 21.08.2011, today i received a call from CC and they again told the issue will be attended today. I recorded all the calls made to CC and distributor so i am thinking of to go to consumer court. If no steps are taken against them these people will make us fool.

So friends think before going to buy airtel.
