Airtel Prepaid — airtel cheating by starting services without permission
respected sir,this is not the first time airtel has cheated anyone ,i am writing this to inform my brothers and sisters here of the cheating by airtel ( on my airtel connection #[protected]) , i guess they became one of the largest mobile service provider by cheating people, they started masti5 subscription offer without my permission, & they started renewing it every week, i nearly lost r50 in that stupid subscription of their, which was of no use to me. when called on 198 they replied that you might have pressed the confirmation button this and that, this is how they cheat, this has happend the second time, i have found that they start such subscription without customers permission which is around rs 5 or so , the customer might feel that what is the use of fighting over rs 5 on the phone, but when airtel cheats a lot of random customers, this is how they fill their purses, this is how the call centre guys complete their quotas. this is unethical & unacceptable , i feel that in such cases tata mobile services have been acting ethically, i have utmost respect for mr. ratan tata . from now on i have decided to discontinue with my airtel services and that of my 13 friends who are using airtel connection. plz think twice before buying an airtel connection.

Dear Sir,
My prepaid number is [protected] which was activated 45 days back. From Air tel I received two calls on different period for verifying the address .. At that time it was deactivated the number, after veryfying the address, it was activated again . It happened two time within 15 days. In Last friday 4th Jun 2010, my number was deactivated and duly blocked which means no outgoing or incming calls to my number.
When I approach the vendor, he washed his hands. Then I approached your airtel branch at Malleswaram, Bangalore, they said that it cannot be activated again . I should get the new connection since address verification was not done. I told that it was done twice. They also washed their hands. Then I apprached the floor supervisor Mr. Satish and Ms. Suma, they different version, one person told that it will be activated after 72 hrs and other person told that it cannot be done. Then I spoke to Ms. Salma Nodal Officer, she said that she can give the same number provided I should submit the documents and to pay Rs 49/- . I asked her under whose fault I hv to pay and struggle. She has agreed that some system fault.
I ran pillar to post for the past three days. SInce I am waiting for my admission to Eng Collect, I have given this number to all . This is the quality of AIrtel service. Now they said that they can give the same number, provided I should give id proof though I have submitted my ration card copy which contains both address and photo. But they want separate id proof apart from this. As a student, How can I get other id proof, I am not qualitifed for driving licesnse and voter id since I am 17 years old.
Now I felt very bad abount AIrtel by giving trouble to customer. Apart from this, their employees don;t have any knowledge about their service. That is why each one is giving different statement and different version.
Moreover no officer is available to contact on saturdays.
Now I planned to go consumer court to get the compensation for my loses and mental agony in last three days.

AirTel — Verification Problem
Hi All,I purchased my Airtel Prepaid simcard about 4-5 months ago. I received a verification call from and agent after about 1 month and they verified all my details. Now today I am receiving a message that due to non verification my Incoming and Outgoing has been barred. I contacted the customer service and they say that the details I am providing do not match with their database.
My question here is, previously when they called for verification, the details matched and now all of a sudden they dont match. I asked the rep to why it that so? he said we cannot give out reasons and disconnected the call. I again called and had to repeat the whole story again and then the rep transferred me to a supervisor who told me that you will have to submit your documents again and we can POSSIBLY activate your card.
I think there is a lapse in the verification process. now I am helpless and waiting on the response. Lets hope for the best.

Airtel Prepaid — Deduction without reason
I am airtel consmer since last 12 years.I am 55 years old and noway interested in cricet and any other timepass activities.Since then cricket SMS and other SMS's are coming to my mobile No [protected] and without subscribing to any of these events deduction is done.Even after sending NO SMS to the service deduction is done by the sweet AIRTEL girls and boys. I appeal senior perosn of AIRTEL to look into the matter.
