Dear Mobile Users,

This is going to be a big hit for major telecom players who thinks Customers are fool enough to Stick on to single Mobile Service Providers. Soon Airtel, Vodafone, Idea the leading GSM Operators in India will come to the bottom end service provider in India.In Kerala If Airtel, Vodafone, Idea customers calls customer care chargeable. Truly unfair.This is been implemented all over India by making fool of customers by the help of TRAI. Since every one knows the MNP (Mobile Number Portability) is not yet started implementing as the discussions goes no where about last 2 years. But the telecom players and the TRAI began acting against the basic customer rights?? Just think Do you pay any show room guys or representative to try demonstrating about the any of the Products??? This is as simple as saying for registering our own service complaint is chargeable for you..... The Airtel, Vodafone, Idea says 198 is Toll free. That is not true. They are fooling up the customers and making money in unethical way. Till now Tata Docomo and reliance not charging for the customer care calls. They straightly says like We are not ready to punish the customers.. Hurry up guys we need to De promote the mobile operators Airtel, Vodafone, Idea who thinks the customers are fool.

Methods to do achieve our customer goals are

1) Dont allow them to promote their offers by sms or any means by sending an SMS START DND to 1909

2)Please don't activate any of their Services like Missed Call Alert (This is free in Docomo & some Networks)

3)Please deactivate the Caller tune service they offer

4)Please not that after sending START DND any calls or promo comes from the provider we can claim RS.120 for every SMS or Promo Calls

5)Use the other Network Operators SIM for going Domestic&International Roaming by forwarding your calls to the other Mobile operator. (please check the rates of roaming charges (I believe the Docomo and Relaince is much cheaper compared to Airtel, Vodafone, Idea)

6) De motivate all the options where they can make money by fooling customers

i m continuously receiving unwanted calls and missed calls from 3 nos. [protected], [protected] & [protected] and i believe that these nos. belong to one person because calls are received same time from all three nos.. So my request is please do something these 3 nos. have created lots of problems in my personnel life

Vodafone — charging for customer care

service providers started charges on customer care . If customer needs any information, It will be charged . Apart from this we are paying rental to this service providers , if we are giving rental then there should not be this charge .

Rental is for company's growth or customer service ???

Hey Guys Please Promote the Cellular Operator who doesn't punish Customer by Charging Customer Care Calls. It is the basic right to call customer calls. Although the most of the companies gives Toll Free Calls ( Microsoft,HCL,Samsung,LG,Videocon and many more....) dont forget the fact that these are not cellular companies who is having their own infrastructure to make the registration toll free.

till now (Tata Docomo) is not charging for any customer care calls.

Let the foolish companies should understand the fact that the customer is the KING

Empowering India’s 500 million plus mobile users, the country’s telecom regulator has decided to set up an online customer redressal mechanism, providing a platform for dissatisfied consumers to express their complaints against their service providers....... Its a good move.


Put simply, any customer can log on to this web-based system, that will be maintained by Trai, to register complaints, violations or any other grievance against their mobile operator. This independent platform will work on a real-time basis, implying that the operator in question will immediately get the complaint, a top Trai official told ET.

This official also added that this system would enable Trai to monitor if customer grievances were being addressed. “We can then see as to what per cent of customer complaints are addressed,” the Trai official explained.

When pointed out that only a fourth of the country’s mobile subscribers had access to the internet, the Trai official said that the regulator was trying to expand the scope of the platform to include SMS-based complaints. “We are looking at different technologies to explore if SMS or voice calls can also be made part of the online customer redressal platform,” the Trai official added.... Brilliant thinking here too.

Trai has decided to go in for this online model, as it is not empowered to handle individual consumer complaints against service providers. The regulator will begin the process next month, and after consultations with all stakeholders, it plans to have the platform working from the beginning of next fiscal (April 1, 2010).

Trai is also of the view that despite all operators having directed a three-tier redressal structure, which includes call centres, area-wise nodal officers and appallette authorities, most grievances went unaddressed. Currently, the only other option that a consumer has is to take the operator to court.

Meanwhile, the telecoms regulator will also meet the two telecom industry bodies next week — Cellular Operators Association of India and the Association o[censored]nified Service Providers of India — over a demand by the industry that they be allowed to charge subscribers for calls made to customer care outlets. At present, all calls made to the customer care are free.... What the duck is this?

“Operators have told us that a significant majority of calls that mobile users make to customer care are for enquiry purposes, and not related to grievances. Since running these call centres and offering customer care involves a huge cost, they want consumers to pay for this service,” the Trai official quoted above said.

ET spoke to mobile service providers, who confirmed that the industry had jointly sought Trai’s approval to charge consumers for calls to the customer care, if they were not related to grievances/complaints.

But Trai officials are divided on the demand by telcos. “We do not have any mechanism to determine if a call to the customer is for a complaint, enquiry or for other purpose. Interpretations can vary. We want to give telcos a hearing on this issue,” another Trai official added.

In another consumer-related move, the Trai is also planning to junk the Do-Not-Call (DNC) registry, as this has failed its purpose of ensuring that telemarketers do not make unsolicited calls or send SMSs to those enlisted in the DNC. Instead, the regulator plans to explore the option of setting up a ‘Do-Call’ registry, where only registered users would be called by telemarketing firms.

Disgusting from Airtel

Inspite of TRAI denial airtel is charging 50 paise for customer care calls, how cheap is this for service provider like airtel. And what TRAI is doing are they sleeping or they have taken huge amount of BRIBE for this.

Customer calls customer care for some issues and if Airtel charges money to solve this issue then y the hell they take monthly rental, give us our rental back.

Its an open BRIBE from Airtel that they ask money to solve customer issue (PAISA DO TABHI KAM HOGA).

And TRAI IS SLEEPING WAKE UP TRAI. Is it TRAI showing that they are helpless and cant do any thing or youll part of BRIBE.

I keep receiving a lots of promotional messages almost everyday...can anybody help what i can do about it. I tried making a complaint to 198 airtel service provider. but they keep saying that they have forwarded the complaint. however i don't see any resolution happening. Kindly help

All the service providers are same... I used to be a hutch customer, now airtel. But same crap story... Now this is a really innovative way to screw people. They will do some mistake and will force you to call them up... be it billing, be it anything else u have to pay. Kudos to TRAI to allow the service providers to do the same... things are going nuts day after day. Next plan will b e launched 100 min customer care call free... LOL

I am Airtel Broadband user who recently took a connection effective 30th Nov,
2010.My username is [protected]_mh (Application No. RSM 269293). I had made an payment of Rs500/- as advance rental at the time of application which has been debited from my bank account.

At the time of filling the application form on 27th Nov. 2010 your sales agent
told me that my plan charges would be 499 unlimited 512kbps / month.I have the xerox copy of teh application form submitted which clearly mentions that plan would be 499 unlimited.

To my surprise when I called the customer support to register a complaint
regarding the insufficient speed, your customer support mentioned that my plan
is 699 unlimited 512kbps/month. I tried telling him about the information given
to me by your FSO. But he gave a deaf ear and asked me to send a mail
explaining my discomfort. He mentioned that he will not be able to help me. He
has taken a connection cancellation request - 358406.

It seems that its the policy of your firm to deceive the customers like this. I
have made the biggest mistake by opting for Airtel.

My plan is not the same as it was promised to me. The speed of connection is
never more than 400-425kbps. Checked numerous times at the speed meter on
airtel webpage.

I have been given a telephone connection without an instrument. The
installation guys asks me to pay him for the instrument.

I had to procure a modem for the connection by paying extra money.

PANKAJ This side I'm a custumer of idea from a very long time ..may be 5 yrs ... i m quite happy with idea but on 1/dec /10 they activated a schme in my phone ... they daily charge me 5 rs per day ...they daily deducted 5Rs daily frm my prepaid a/c [protected].. i called they on 198 (idea custumer care no ) i told them all that ... they logged a complait on that day ...he told me to wait fr 24 hrs ... i daily called them till 27/dec/10 on 198 bt they havnt rectified the issue .... when ever i called to 198 .. i speak to the agent .. i told them to transfer the call to supervisor they takes 30 mins to transfer .......i called them on 3dec /10 logged a complaint fr the same ... again i called them on 19 for the same issue and wat the are doing they are tagging my complaints in querryies ... i told to the supervisor mr krisina kumer there he is a team ledear there when u called 198 ....idea custuner care no .. i talk to every one there in that call centre ... like agent ... anita , sagar , manish , rahul amny more .... i talk to the assit. manger opf that call centre mr rahul . also bt all they again say me to wait fr 24 hrs more ...

last call i done 3/jan/11 i talked umesh
to deactivate that service they taken a time fr 19 days they make fool of me .,..daily they say me to wait fr 24 hrs ...fianlly i gone to sec 64 noida the main idea showroom ... i told them all that i m complianing u guys frm 3/dec/10 on custumer care wat you doing .. after that he deactivated my service ... the problem got rectified on 29/dec/10

भैया ऐसी सर्विस मिली तो तुरन्त उठा कर फ़ेंकना था सिम कार्ड और किसी अन्य कम्पनी का सिम कार्ड लेना था । प्रेम मोहब्बत ना करो किसी कम्पनी के साथ । क्यों कि कम्पनी के लिए कस्टमर सिर्फ़ मुर्गा है । जिसे हर हाल में हलाल करना उनका उद्देश्य होता है ।
My idea connection number is [protected]. I raised a slow speed GPRS complaint on Dec 26th, 2010. No proper response from the customer care. Guess how many times I called up for the same problem... till 15th Jan, 2011 it was 21 times... whenever I called up one or the other executive will pick the call and raise new complaint all the times... some of the reference ticket numbers are as follows...[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]...
They confirmed a tech. visit to my place on 14th Jan, 2011 @5pm by Aruna (this is because I raised a request to cancel my connection...!). This confirmation was given to me, for my 13th Jan, 2011 call. On 14th Jan, I was waiting waiting waiting for that tech visit... finally as usual fed up of them, so I called them, they said as per last request the tech guys might come and resolve my problem on 19th Jan, 2011... I'm the poor customer, who paid the monthly bills well in advance (even before the bill generation)...
Sad part was... I walked up to the nearest IDEA centre (Fraser town), they suggested me to go to Richmond Circle centre... Poor customer, I went there tooooo... (on 8th, Jan 2011). There was only one representative (named Vinod Kumar) who was handling (not at all... efficient...!) all the queries (around 20)... his colleague was on their own personal duties...!!!
Another comedy was, Customer care executive are thinking that the customer's are not to be tensed or always need to be cool in all their mistakes...!!! What kind of service providers, they are!!!
This might be their best IDEA... What an IDEA sirji...?

I would like to inform the people, who are reading this complaint... PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH IDEA CONNECTION...!!!

Airtel, Vodafone, Idea — no tower at residential area

Why the companies are not removing the tower from residential atreas? When the govt. has stated the same.

Why you are playing with the lifes of the public? Why you haven't taken any steps?
