[Resolved]  Airtel — Worst customer service EVER!! Useless Airtel.

This is Pushkar Pethe, sharing my experiences here regarding a process of Transfer of authorities. (Blood relation transfer of the SIM card registered in my Dad's name to mine - application submitted with the NOC's of both - me and my dad and address and ID proof documents)
Following are the series of incidences that took place -

Visit 1: submission of application form – 22nd June
Visited the gallery for collection of form, I was informed that my dad’s details will be required. So, I filled in the form accordingly. On the day of submission, the executive told me that he would need my details(??) and not my dad’s. I had to follow the entire process again.

Visit 2: submission of revised application form – 24th June
Submitted the revised application form and was assured that the process will be done in 4 working days and hand me over a new micro sim card and registers the sim number in online application form

Visit 3: Follow up – 1st July
How pathetic is this that the customer has to visit the gallery for follow up(??) and stay stranded for hours in the queue!! when its airtel’s responsibility to update about the status when they had crossed the said timeline of 4 working days!! And…at the end , the answer i got is:“ sorry sir, your request has been declined; [B]I forgot to upload your airtel account number.[/B] The process will take another 3 days to initiate!! ” and also informed me that he couldn't activate Rental 199 plan(even though its a general plan open to all) and that, I had to compulsorily go for Rental 249!! This is stealing money... OFFICIALLY!

Visit 4: 4th July
I got a call on the previous day saying that the SIM card number given by the executive was invalid(??) and the person asked me to visit the gallery and to get the SIM changed!! How shameful is this?? A SIM card issued from authorized Airtel Relationship Centre was unauthenticated!! The SEVERE PROCESS LAG!
When I went there…waited for half an hour to be attended..& ultimately another amazing response “ Sir, the call you got was for the previous request that was rejected!!” I felt so dejected and frustrated that I felt like suing AIRTEL for all the trouble.
Again the same response: “ it will take another 4 days to initiate the process?!!!”

July 9: finally something good happened..the process got initiated..My SIM card stopped working @ around 12 noon. Verification happened on the same day... and look at the SMART approach...the new SIM is not yet activated..and old one is disconnected!!

Its been 5th day that my number is not working..NOBODY could answer WHY?! It is my right to know the whereabouts of the process I'm stuck in. I have been following up with Airtel for getting this done, but all they could provide me is-only a promise to UPDATE about the status. None of them ever talked about getting it done!! Its only, this, morning when I warned Airtel to be sued for all this inconvenience, trouble and stress, somebody, form 'Airtel Presence', contacted me - asking the details AGAIN??!! As if I have got no other work to do but to stay at home waiting for their call just to elaborate the problem!!

Visit 5: 13 July 2013

visited the gallery again @ 5.00 pm with a motive of having an update and sorting out the problem. This time had a word with the store manager. She assured me that the service will be restored on my new SIM in an hour, since she was personally following up with the concerned department and people. Left the gallery with a ray of hope..but alas!! the misfortune continued..waited till 7.00 pm hoping to get my SIM card working..but surprisingly, no courtesy shown even by the manager, to call up and update about technical problem not getting resolved!!
Its July 14, even by the end of the day, I have not received any communication or assurance from company...I wish i could replace 'Har ek friend' with the word 'Airtel' in the tagline of one of their campaigns!! This is what the company deserves!

Where are we heading to?? This insensitive and irresponsible behavior is costing us our present!! Consumers have no value in this service chain..it seems..If its only business and money that matters to such companies who are not willing to care for their customers, we need reunite and stand against them. I hope to get justice one day!

Good service to raise a complaint " IF i get an appropriate response and co-operation" only then...
This is redeculass as i have paid an amount of 2000rs and i am maintaing a clear account.. still the [censored] up is that Aitel's stupid asses have the guts to withdraw my outgoing facility...!!! Jerks!! and after i spoke to a customer care Executive ( AMIT) around 1:00pm to day that is 13th march 08, he assurs that it will be activated within 4 hours and till now its the same no response ... He also accepted that it was their mistakle and i have cleared my accounts on time... I need a reason for this and an appology... my mob number is +91 [protected].

These people should hire good people not just give a job to students or people who have zero knowledge about systems ... Just to coomplete targets it dosnt mean u recuit any one and creat a image which is just fake and nothing else.

I swear if this does not get activated in the next 30 mins i will sue the company and rip the nearest outlet, ,

This is not fair and not exceptable at all... they need to get a break and change their name from " Airtel to faketel"

Airtel — Poorest customer service ever

I have called numerous times to customer care to solve this. However, I dont think the customer care executives are smart enough to solve any problem.

Problem: My handset is wrongly shown in your system as Nokia 1100, which is in real Nokia E51.
Because of that i face numerous problems in MMS/GPRS/MCommerce settings. I have configured the mobile for GPRS however i am not able to do so for the rest of them. Since, my mobile is showing not java supported I am not able to use Mcommerce. The sms which i send to 543219 send me back application for Nokia 1100 where i can't register my debit card for paying the bill.
It has been a harrassing time explaing this to customer care executives, who just know one line " Sir send sms, then only mcommrce will wok" . They dont tell me if it is not working what should be done. How it will work if your system does not recongnize my phone as java supported?

Please do something about it. Your customer service is really getting on my nerves .

Airtel — getting useless subscription

i m getting useless messages from airtel live wap servics without any subscription and payed for it 10 rs weekly. i want to unsubscribe this servics.my cell no .is [protected]. tell me what i have to do for unsubscription this service

i called at customer care( most probably mohali centre) at 2:56 am dated 3 jan 2009 regarding some querries on jobs on phone sevice. this sevice is active on my cell no. [protected] from last several months but i am not getting any message from last 10 days. i called at customer care regarding this and the customer care executive named, Vishal didnt tell about his id even asking again and again, & was very rude to me and he finally disconnected my call in between.
kindly take the appropriate action...

AirTel — Useless service

Dear sir,
I am Bibhuti Bhusan Dash, Address-At:Jayamangalpur, Po:Biribadi, Dist:Khurda from ORISSA working as a Team Leader in call centre of Reliance communication(Smart GSM Service). My prepaid airtel number is "[protected]". I have taken the connection on 16th March 2007. After that I have recharged Rs [protected]@/- Life Time Validity voucher on 10th April 2007.

But the processing fee [protected]@/- is always deducting on recharge of Top Ups bellow Rs200.00 from 4th january 2009 which is beyond the company's rule. Only for this inconvenience i have called to customer care mor than Twenty times. All the CSRs and TL's have informed me it will be resolved soon but they are not giving any commettment date or Time and not refunding the money. Except that, Some of the CSRs have wrongly passed me "You are a Rs [protected]@/- Lifetime customer by which I am completely irritated and finally decided to take the help of Consumer Forum.

Finally, I request you update my priceplan of Rs [protected]@/- LTV and refund all the deducted processing fees within 48 working hours.

AirTel — Worst response Airtel Customer Support

Dear Airtel,

Thanks for your quick response!!!.

Till now there's no proper response from you people for the bill clarification. What you have done also just forwarding the bill details again which i have received again.Pl check again you have deducted the rental charges for the last bill .Currently I'm having rental free plan only (100% Monthly rental free )so there's no fixed charge/rental etc ( For 17.01.09 to 30.01.09).

This's the one I'm asking you people to check & clarify & correct. This month itself i called the customer care service more than 15times (refer how many ref.no)

All you people what doing ? All are sleeping or playing together !!!

How long will you take to solve this? Now I have recd this month bill . I feel very bad of your service. Thinking how you people one of the leading company in this field now only released you are swindling money from u If you do like this always one fine day you’ll be at street only.

If you people not rectify my problem after receiving this mail also then shall put you case in consumer . Hope this won’t be happen .

AirTel — Worst service ever

This is Abhishek Joshi. Just now join <>.I guess my time was running bad and i have taken a postpaid connection of Airtel from Airtel executive.

I have taken Airtel postpaid connection on 8th of April. Executive told me that it will get activated on tonight. I was waited till 9th evening and given a call to executive. He updated me that south area servers are down except blore servers till 16th 0:00 and your number will get activated on 16th at 0:00 AM.

I waited till 16th evening and given a call to executive again he said that "sir, aaj rat ko ho jayenga". I believe him and again waited till 17th evening but my number was not activated. In between these days I have tried to call 121 3 to 4 times from frd's number however after giving "bill info" line got disconnected automatically all the times.
Eventually I was able to speak to customer care executive from my frd' number on 17th. She (airtel agent) updated me that there is no information why your number was not activated. She assure me that my number will get activated within 24 hrs where as i was asking to activated within 4 hrs.she has taken all the details including SIM number, mobile number, sales executive name and his number.(you can listen that recording)

I again did a followup after 14 hrs and asking for a update however there was no update in the systems. Agent(she) was that you have to wait till 22nd.However previous agent was already committed for 24hrs.

I again did followup after 14 hrs i.e on Sunday evening (19th April 2008) and still there was no information was available with him. You know????? it was strange for me !!! i was wondering how are you serving these many of customers. Might be Airtel is thinking that we are not customers!!!

I clearly told the agent that if number wouldn't get activated till 10 AM in the morning i am going to return the number to airtel outlets.

Today i.e Monday morning 10 AM I have inserted a SIM and start my mobile however My hopes went down...

In the evening when I went to Airtel outlet near madhapur there also i got disappointed due to service...

Lots of people were gathering near the executive desk for there problem or might be with some other reasons...

Was just standing there for 15min where as executive ask me for 2 mins...when i raised my voice then one individual executive came and take me into the cabin ...when i told him the whole story and was asking to take no back and give my deposited money back, he said i cant take this number back as this number is not activated. In between we have spoke to sale executive who sale me the postpaid connection. Funny thing was, " he was again saying the same thing " sir aaj rat ko ho janega"...

I have taken your mail ID from Airtel outlets. In between these days i was on vodafone roaming connection and it cost me Rs. 1948.00.

If ...

1) sales executive would have told me about the server down time till 16th before buying the connection I wouldn't have taken the connection or i would have gone any temporary prepaid connection .

2) First customer care executive would have given me the correct information then might be i wouldn't have thought to surrender the connection.

3) I wonder how could you don't have any token system in airtel outlets however vodafone has!!!

4) When i asked Outlet executive that is there any authoritative person who can look into this problem ... he said you know to go to begam peth office when i asked him for number he said we don't have...

5) I got surprised airel outlets doesnt have any provision where the can see whether they can see my details though i have already submitted my docs 12 days back.


Request you to please tell me the correct procedure to surrender my number as its not activated.

I don't know whether you will take any actions on this or not. I have not written all above things because somebody would loose their jobs however i am writing this because might be some day i would hear that airtel has improved their services and might be i have return back. Just would like to share with you guys that I was cool till now only because my last 4 years exp with airtel blore, pune and nagpur was good. I cant say i am valuable customer however i would say that you lost a customer who was loving the service by heart as well 2 years back he was upset when he didnt get a airtel postpaid connection in blore.

BHARATI AIRTEL — useless customer care services

This company provides a useless customer care services. When i make a call to the customer care for any complaints they disconnect the call. So they cant give me a solution for my phone problems, it is such a useless service. So please take immediate action agains them. My mobile number is [protected]

bharti Ltd — worst service n

Bharti is totally fraud company. Their service is 3class. I dont know why we Indian are using Internet and iptv from bharti as provider.

I have logged the ticked so many time regarding broadband not working. Even i have called to northan office also. They have logged the tick only. Till now problem is not resolved.

15 days has passed but still the same problem.

any suggestion what should i do now.

Should i go to consumer court and fill a case against bharti regarding worst service.

Kindly suggest.
