Dear Sir/Mam,

In Gujarat CNG Price is reduced to around 43rs/Ltr however Rickshaw Drivers are taking fare according to exist price of CNG 56rs.

Whenever there is hike on price since next day of hike, they start to take extra charges without waiting of New Rate Card.

As since approx last 6 months they are taking extra charge as per 56rs as statin they dint receive new Rate Card.

Request you to look into this & do the needful.

Hoping a favorable result.

In the morning during office time that is from 9:00am onwards at kandivali west, mahavirnager near gaurav heights/star light building there's no rickshaw available.. We have to wait for more than half an hour still don't get a rickshaw.It has really become difficult to reach on time to office. pls help.

Sub: Complaint against rickshaw drivers who refuse to ferry passengers to their destination from the rickshaw stand at Ashok Nagar Complex, Military Road, Marol Maroshi, Andheri (E).

Sir,

This is to inform you that the rickshaws at the stand refuse to ply passengers to their required destinations. They choose to take passengers who travel long distance only and they also decide which route to take according to their own discretion. This is a regular affair. Because of this stand, the other rickshaws plying in this area do not even halt their rickshaws. On account of this, we the residents of Ashok Nagar, Military Road, Marol-Maroshi, Andheri (E) are left stranded. Especially, in the mornings most of the office goers are in a hurry to reach office on time. The refusal of these rickshaw drivers to ply passengers leaves them stranded.

Request your goodself to take corrective action and oblige the residents of Ashok Nagar, Military Rd, Andheri (E).

I am increasingly angered at the attitude of these rickshawalas. For the sake of fun, they deliberately drive their rickshaws into you, or intend to brush past you or increase the speed of their vehicle just when you are crossing the road, especially if its a girl/woman. I suggest, instead of getting into a fight with these people, if possible take down their vehicle nos. and report the same to rickshaw union. Can anybody please provide me the no. of such a union. Or if anybody has noted any such office of these people, please paste the address here.

Also, if anybody has already done such a thing and requires help in approaching any such trade union, I am willing to help.

Normally it take 80 to 90 Rs. to reach from Bandra to Dindoshi, Mumbai,
today it took me Rs.138/-

Auto Rickshaw sangh — We are not charged by Meters

We are staying in New panvel here all the Auto rikshaw wala's are charging us what they feel (want) as the priceis not fixed with the distance and they are not charging with the meter as Meter is compulsory they made it on so that the meter runs but we are charged as the want. These are in Places near Panvel as the police too are not strict with them they too are with them. Then who will help us.

All the Vehicals are picked by the private people working under police. They pick the vehicles even we park on the parking zone they too do there work as they feel.

AS Police are currupted this is becaue we all are facing this type of problem.

Government are also working for them only they never think to the common people.

If you refused to pay the tariff on the meter then you have taken the first step to discourage unethical behavior. If you have paid the due amount in full, you have been cheated.

if no auto want to go to particular place where passanger want to go they just go empty if ask them they abuse i got some rickshaw number mh02-725, mh02-786 this are some numbers.pls take some action.against this rickshaw...

this is to bring to your notice about the auto rickshaws in hyderabad who inspite of installing digital meters are asking for higher amount of money and disagree to use the meter. I would like to ask the autorities why the digital meter is installed when they are not using it This is sheer corruption on the part of the auto rickshaw drivers and it is really become nuissance for us consumers as we are the ones who are suffering .I would request to take notice and stricter laws be imposed on the auto rickshaw drivers who are failing to to use the meter and are asking for double or even three times more amount of money than the usual fare.After all we cannot spend our hard earned money to fill the houses of auto rickshaw drivers.My suggestion would be that there should be a seperate wing which takes up the complaints and matter of such auto rickshaw drivers so that they dont break laws. Auto Rickshaws in Hdyerabad are real nuisance. Looks like nothing can help. They are tampering even the digital meters. Is this an official site? do the concerened authorities really visit this site and take actions? or its just meant to vent our anger? If anyone knows of an official site, please mail me. I have the AUto Number also with me.

I completely agree.Travelling is auto in Hyderabad has become
night mare these days.

Firslty they refuse to come to place you want to go.
If you are lucky enough after asking 15-20 autos one agrees to come but will charge twice from meter fare.

I had the same experience from Railway station, Banjara Hills, Secunderabad...everywhere.

I sincerely hope concerened authorities do something about it.
Hyderabad badly needs pre paid auto counters everywhere.

auto number AP 10 U 4035, the auto driver asked for Rs.50/- which under normal circumstances costs Rs.28/-; whom to approach to launch the complaint? Very arrogant behaviour! Also was interested in starting a forum to work on the unruly traffic scenario!

In Hyderabad, Auto number - AP 13x 4040 is having tampered digital meter.
I travel everyday between police line - begumpet railway station. Distance is 2.2 km. In the above said auto, distance came as 3.7kms. Most of the autos in begumpet railway station area have tampered meters or they dont come on meter. they demand double the money. Please take necessary action.

Hmmmm...there is a toll-free number 1074 on which we can register complaints about the auto rickshaws...but the number is not in use currently...i have tried dialing the number several times...but it is of no use...i have a list of auto numbers on which i wanted to post a complaint..how can i?The head of road transport services had announced this toll-free number 1074...but it is of no use...everyday i come across arrogant auto drivers...they demand very high amount..their are very confident that no one will question them regarding the fare..yesterday evening an auto driver was asking 80 rs for dropping me from koti(womens college) to lakdikapul(bus stop)..i was noting down the auto number...the driver was very careless and was shouting at me to note down his number properly and no one is going to do anything ...What the hell!!!i felt like kicking his auto...Several autos..in the same way...i am being habituated to fight with auto drivers daily...atleast one auto driver everyday...

today i was standing for 1hour to go to thakur village i left more than 20 emty rikshaws who refused to go some not even bothered to stop also along with me there were other people as well who wanted to take rickshaw but were unable to get one .this is trend of rikshaws in mumbai now which is very annoying and irritating for consumers.

yetserday we wanted to go to the city railway station in bangalore n the auto walla demanded extra fare..as we didnt get any other auto at the time, we had to comply..evn after repeated demands to set the meter, he refused...the no was kA-02 A 8356, ...

As you are aware there is quit no of auto rickshaws.Today at 8.30 pm I travelled in one such auto bearing reg.no KA-02-C-2724 from Hosur road (VDO bus stop) to Ulsoor which is hardly 5.5 to 6 kms for whch the fare meter was showing Rs.58, 00 instead Rs.40 or 42.The same morning I travelled in other auto fom ulssor to Hosur road check post almost the same distance for which the fare was Rs.42.50.
I request tour kind self to initiate suitable action against the above mensioned auto owner/driver as per the law.

I travelled in Hyderabad from Begumpet(Pentaloon) to Somajiguda(Yoshoda hospital). It comes actually 19 rupees but in one auto today it came as 35 rupees. And the auto person was arguing that it is new meter. In new meter only it should come as 19 and in old it should come asd 16 rupees. So this means they are able to manipulate the new digital meter also.

All above comments/concerns are 200% correct & most of the hyderabadi's facing everyday. The auto drivers or owners are pretty intelligent than the Govt. They started tampering any kind of meters (Even Digital meters).

The tampering is happening in terms of distance. The distance travelled will be tampered which makes the passengers to pay more.

Recently there was a complaint number ([protected]) published in one of the news paper to log complaints against the auto frauds within the city. As per the news published, it must be toll-free (should not be charged to the caller) but it is getting billed to the caller. At the same time, the officials receiving these calls are making delay in logging complaints.

Some serious action in this regard would be highly appreciated. Hope this will wipe out the bad remark being tagged to the auto's in hyderabad.

I work in Hitech City. The auto stand guys doesn't have a meter some of them say "I don't have battery to run the meter". They are always asking 1.5 times of the fare for e.g Hitec to Panjagutta Rs 120... I am really pissed off. Can government do anything?? This is a bad remark on hyderabad...

Meter reading is too fast. Its reading One and Half times. Means for 100 its showing 150. I have travelled from Dahisar checknaka to Goregaon (Oberai mall). Daily I travel in this route. Meter reading should be 72/- but it was 102/-
When I asked him, he was very rude and was saying " Note my Auto No. and give complaint where ever you want".
Its not about about my 30 Rupees but, the kind of thinking he has " Nobody can reach me ", should be punished.
I am complaining for the first time here and want to know whether any action can be taken from your end.

Rickies in Mumbai need to be booked underthe law for refusing a passenger. Every single day I face aproblem to get a rick form my place (Santacruz East, Vakola) to the station and then back from the station to my place. They behave rude and stubborn.

Is there a law which can be o[censored]se here when these rickies refuse the passenger? If in case, we see an empty rick and if he refuses us, can we take him to the police station? I know that if someone who refuses a passenger when he is under a rickshaw or taxi stand, he can then be threatened with a plice complian, but can we do this to the other rickies as well who refuse to take us?

This problem is gettingworse by each passing day.

On the 3rd of March I wanted to go from Commercial Sreet to Lake Side hospital in Bangalore and the fare is normally Rs 14/- which is the minimum fare but this auto guy demanded Rs 30/-. His auto number is KA02 2874. He should be taken to task as he was very very rude and demanded that I get off the rickshaw if I refused to pay the amount. This was around 1.30 in the afternoon. I understand that it is double the fare in the night but this is ridiculous when they are hanging around in broad day light, refusing to go where u want to go and then demanding double the fare.

On May 1st 2009 around 2.45 PM to 3.00 PM, I took a auto Rickshaw from St.John Hospital to Silk board flyover, Bangalore. It will be hardly 2Kms but the Meter went on to Rs 28. When i gaved him Rs.30 he refused to pay back Rs.2. The minimum fare should be Rs 14. He had a old meter and tampered it as the meter runs like anything. His auto number is KA -05 B- 6344.

I request you to take strict action on this.

Are these complaints actually being read by any authority and is actually any action being taken against these auto rickshaw driver?? I doubt!!!

I have a complaint but I think before posting any complaint, we need an answer to this. Otherwise it seems more like a forum for busting out our frustration on these cheat auto rickshawwala.

Auto Number KA05C4222 running at Yeswanthpur railway station area has demanded as well as threatened me for getting more money than prepaid bill amount. The driver behaves as if like a gunta to get the money he demands. He was revenging at me to go and complaint and see the results.
I have got the prepaid bill with me as the proof. Please suggest where to complaint. Is this Auto Gang especially in Bangalore are ones who cannot be controlled and put under law?

I informed him that I take a rick everyday & the fare is only 75-80 & never exceeds that . He stared speaking loudly & screaming on top of his voice saying things like just because you are a lady & I cant touch you or I would have showed you . jao jao . In the mean time there were a lot of people gathered but no one bothered to say anything in public . I informed the security on the Seepz gate what had happened & he told me why did you not call out to me ? This is Bad & I wish to bring that old man the driver to books . He even said take down my number & do what you want to do I don't care .

this is to bring to your notice that the auto rickshaws bearing regidtration Auto Nos AP 9V 9073, AP 1T 8490, (OLD METER), AP 9W 1218, AP 13W 8760 plying on the route from Mehdipatnam (via mehdipatnam bus depot )to Tallagadda Hyderabad, holds Tampered and Setting Meters installed in their auto rickshaws, Meter Reading of the above mentioned Auto Rickshaw is running very fast.

This is sheer corruption on the part of the auto rickshaw drivers and it is really become nuisances for us consumers as we are the ones who are suffering . I dont know whether a action will be taken or not as so many compliants listed above shows how much the listeners are taking care of them. Well there are several ocassion I had a argument with auto drivers for there meter being tampared. This time it was too much a distance of 5.5 km which in normal circumstances is Rs 40-45 was showing Rs 80 in the meter and it showed a distance of 10.5km. When I told him about this he started arguing and wanted the money. Its not an issue to pay Rs 40 extra once a while, but these type of inappropriate meter reading cant be beared by citizen every time. So I want the authoroties to take a severe action against such anti elements in the city who make the environment ugly. The auto number is as follows AP 10 V 7909. Date of travel 10/8/09 evening after 8.30pm.
Do take some actions as the City needs it.

Autorickshaw — Without setting meter, asked extra money

There have been many such incidents with me, but this one I am reporting as it is increasing day by day.
All the AUto wala's at Kothrud Depo Stand, Pune expect to give them fare without setting the meter. Their Unity is such that if one Autowala refuses to come by setting meter then rest of the AUtowalaa also refuse to come. This puts us normal people in big problem during urgency. Same is the case with Rickshaw wala's in Aundh Rakshak Chowk.

I travelled from chandni chowk to Kothrud depo, which is a distance less than 1 KM.The Autowala asked me 40 Rs. straight. I told him to come by meter but he refused. As I was having a lot of luggage in my hands, I tried to negotiate it to 20 Rs. He then left me only till Kothrud depo. When asked to drop me to an apartment just 2 blocks away, he said that would cost me extra 10 bucks.
I mean this is ridiculous. Do they dont know the law o[censored]sing Meter ?

I hope this would be taken care. Thats the least I can do. Else we face this situation everyday.

auto rickshaws are a nuiscance in every city.
In Bangalore the min fare is 14 Rs, if you pay them 15, the auto wallahs are not willing to return 1 re.
But try paying them 13 rs they will make a big issue out of it.
1 re is as dear to a software techie as it is to an auto wallah.
Also please beware of this auto KA 05 B 7193 in banaglore, his first offence was that he asked for 20 rs for a place, 5 rs extra..and when we reached there, he started harassing and shouting telling he had asked for 30 rs.
I had to pay 30 rs as i was travelling alone, immediately wanted to file a complaint against him.
I hope some action will be taken against this auto driver.

we were travelling from auto rickshaw from necklace road to sri-nagar colony for which the maximum fare is Rs30 but the digital meter was tampered and it showed Rs 46...when we enquired them about it they started abusing us.They are not even afraid of the police...The Auto Number is AP11X4884.KIndly take some action regarding thes kind of auto wallah's.

WE Road — Bad road conditions on both sides of Dahisar toll

The road conditions are too bad on both sides of the Dahisar tool road. I guess it is the responsibility of the company collecting the toll to maintain the roads. That's why they charge the toll. It is disappointing and frustrating to see govt, Municipal corporations do not keep any watch on these vendors colelcting the tolls. There should be mandatory checks and penalities for not mainitaining the roads.

Complain against MH03 J 2484 Auto Rickshaw Driver for manipulating meter and rude behavior.

I travel from andheri east to IIT, Bombay, Powai, inside campus, regularly.

fare should be between 65 to 70. And I normally get same reading but on 11th December 2009 it was 77 even I did not enter into the campus. When I asked about this to the driver he started speaking rudely with me and asked me to complain as he knows nothing is going to happen even if I complain about him.

I request you, please take strict action against him to stop loot.

A friend and myself boarded an auto rickshaw No. MH-03-AK-2986 yesterday evening after office at 6.05 p.m.from Saki Vihar to go to Jogeshwari Station. Without much traffic, hardly we reached Matoshree on JVLR we found that the meter was running very fast. Normally this would come to around Rs.25/- his meter was showing Rs.32/-. We brought to the notice of the driver and he started arguing and abusing us. He told us to get down. We requested him to take us to the station and would pay the normal fare which we pay everyday, around Rs.45/-. He refused and we had to step out. It becomes very difficult to get a rick on a fast moving traffice road.

We feel action should be taken against this rickshaw driver and his auto meter should be checked. We may find 0.1% honest auto drivers... rest I would say they all have tampered with the meters.

We would like to know what action has been taken against this driver.

auto rickshaw complaints — Refused come to the place i requested after getting into the auto

Dear sir/madam,

Today i.e. 27/02/2010 afternoon 2;30 PM i came to bangalore yesvantpur railway station, i asked for the auto but very one in the auto stand fixed their own prices they are not ready use their auto meters.

I refeused to take any one from that auto stand and i walked to bus stop, their i got an auto number 'KA03 - 5503' he has taken me in his auto and i told him to drive to Nanjappa circle near vidyaranyapura.

than i told me get down because he thought nanjappa circle in shantinager, it was horrible for to accept since i had laugage and my wife and kid.

i told that i will go no compline against but he laughed loudly and went off....

i came to know that our country will never go no be developed ever :(

Is this site really useful. Did the complaints are actioning or just taking only the inputs from the customers.

The Autorichshaw fare in airoli is just a stupidity. The literally charge twice od what the fare has to be. The distance between the Airoli Sector-8 to Airoli station is just of minimum fare wherein they charge a fixed rate of Rs. 20/-. This problem is faced by every one at Airoli. Before sitting in the auto they will fix the fare either Rs. 20/- or Rs. 25/-. And they don't have the manners to talk also.

I took an auto from Prakash Nagar to Somajiguda on June 18, 2010.
Normal charge is around 25 Rupees but the auto rikshaw meter clocked 38 Rupees.
Dispute followed afterwards and anger.The Rikshaw Number is AP 28 Y0360.

I am a commuter who travels more or less often from west marredpally in secunderabad to balkampet which is near ameerpet in hyderabad. The auto number'AP 11 X 5168' has a tampered digital meter. Generally the fare comes to aroundRs.70. but this time I had to pay Rs.80 and walk an extra kilometer till my home since I had to compensate for the faulty meter as I did not have extra money that day. auto rickshaws — Fares

This complaint is specifically for RTO management to take action against Auto rickshaw drivers who are charging base fares and not as per the new charges being decided by RTO. I had a bad experience in Kothurd Guru ganesh area where just going from inner are to main road they charge Rs 20 and if argued they deny to provide the service. One of them was very harsh and when I argued after reaching main road he didn't stop the auto and took me back to the starting place.

I kindly request to take action against such drivers and make a law for every one to follow.

I am a daily commuter from IC Colony, Borivali to Dindoshi, Malad East and back. Every day the meter shows a reading of 67 to and fro and the driver charges me Rs. 95/- per trip. Past two months...I have been charged almost the same amount at times it fluctuate like 107 or so...Today I came by MH02VA1259. The meter showed a reading of 125 and he charged me Rs. 160/- and when I told him that this is way too much...and he should rather get his meter changed, he looked at me in a threatening manner. I was made to pay almost double the amount.
Request you to please take strict actions against such drivers. In my opninion their licenses' should be cancelled.

I have raised a similar complaint. Everyday having bad time with auto drivers in Hyderbad.

Expecting a good response from authorities

I had taken a Auto to Koramangala and due to trafic jam the auto was struck in slow moving trafic. the auto driver did not even have patience to move and asked to get down as he was frustrated.
My opinion is even though he made as to get down he had to travel in same trafic jam as he did not had any other way.
why does these auto drivers behave like this.I purely understand it is not the problem of auto driver.It is the problem with government giving them license without understanding there patience level

On 6th Dec'10... i travel daily from Hyderguda to Banjara Hills road no 2 and the bills comes around 70 to 75 rupees but the above mentioned auto meter was running very fast and the bill was Rs. 92/- Instead of paying him 75 i offered him 80 explaining that the meter is very fast. he had an agruement with me. He left the choice on him whether to take it or leave it !

But such incidents spoil our mood and the whole day.

I'm writing this, expecting some kind of action to be taken on such cheats.

Even i had the similar experience in Bangalore. I wanted to take an auto from agara junction in outer ring road to parangipalaya in HSR Layout (less than 2 Km). None of the auto drivers were ready to come for an amount less than 30 Rs. I checked with around 3-4 autos and the charges they demanded ranges from 30-45. The 2 KM road is no traffic, no one way and it was around 1.00 PM. Finally i have to take an auto by paying 30 Rs. I checked with couple of my friends and i came to know the auto drivers themself as a group fixed the minimum fare as 30. So the commuters needs to pay if they need to travel. Please do something seriously to force the auto drivers to use the meters.

Rickshaw no MH03 AK4370 took extra amount due to faulty meter, I travelled from Andheri station (E) to Borivali (E) on[protected] at 1:30 PM, correct meter shows somewhere between Rs 90 to 100 but his meter was Rs 118. Please take some stringent action so that they will rectify their meters.

My name is Shraddha, On 28th July 2009 me and my friend caught a Auto from Andheri (E), chandivali and to go to Borivali via L & T road through Aarrey colony. I travel everyday by the same route and the moment we get out of the Aarey colony the meter is usually Rs. 60.00 to Rs.62.00 . But this fellow his meter was showing Rs.76.00 . The auto no. is MH03 V 8148.

Please take some strict action against these people.

Auto Rickshaw — Excess Fare and Faulty Meter

I made traveling on 16th Feb 2012 from Mantri Mall to Deewanarpalya approximately 5 km distance as per my regular traveling reading by scooter.
As per rule the charge was to be one and half time of the meter reading; as the time of service was 10:20 pm.
I hired two autos. Only one auto driver bearing no. KA01C 4805 has made its electronic meter on. Second auto driver bearing last four digit 6059 and not having electronic meter; told that he will charge the same as the first one. So he did not made the meter on.
But the reading of the first auto having electronic meter was not coming properly. So he switched his meter off.

After reaching the destination he was charging Rs.150/- for such a distance of 5 km; which should hardly be about Rs.75/- at one and half times the actual rate. But as the time was night time both the young auto drivers forced us to pay Rs.250/- then only they left us.

If such a scenario exist in the silicon city of India, it is a matter of shame.

So I request the concerned authority to take prompt and necessary action at the earliest.

Meter reading should be correct and the auto rickshaw drivers should always charge as per the meter reading and the rules made for the smooth functioning of the system. Otherwise the rules are just rules to be broken by such teams of auto drivers who do not believe in hard work and dishonour the honesty of the other auto drivers who are good at their work. I think such auto rickshaw drivers should be boycotted by other auto drivers and the system should cancel their license.

It was good that you knew the actual Auto fare. But there are many that are new to the city or a specific route. And it's very easy for the driver to charge at his will!

One can visit a website name www.taxiautofare.com that lists not only fares but a unique Fare Calculator that helps you get estimated fares before you actually travel. A Google Map with exact route is also shown that further makes things transparent! Very helpful...

Incident occured on 30.08.2008 at 8:30 pm.

My wife had taken a Rikshaw from at Bandra Station for Bandra Reclamation. She told him to take the route from flyover, which connect S.V. Road and Bandra (E) flyover, but after reaching Lucky Signal he just told her that he will not go further and told her to get down from his rikshaw rudely. This is not the first time wherein the rikshaw fellows have acted like this.

I request to kindly take appropriate action against that rikshaw driver.

The Rick shaw number MH-02 SA 3339 with Driver docket numbet 334413 Mumbai charged 25% higher fare between Bandra East Station and ICICI Bank Towers BKC. Further, he started shouting and claiming that his meter is not faulty. He even refused to show his driving license number. Request to take it up seriously at the earliest.

We hire an auto for travelling from Kumaraswamy Layout to Richmond Road everyday. Even though the meter shows only Rs. 60 to Rs. 65 on an average everday, this particular rickshaw showed the fare as Rs. 83. After a lot of arguing, the auto driver started abusing us in a very cheap language, and also asked us to go ahead and complaint and how nothing is going to ever happen. Then we forced to pay him the excess of the amt, which is arounf Rs. 20 more than the actual fare. How can the citizens believe the action taken on them, when the autowalas themselves stongly believe that they are protected.

My office is in Millennium business park, Mahape-Navi Mumbai. From there all auto rickshaw runs without meter and start misbehaving if you will force them to go in meter. Apart from misbehavior even they charge 25 rs for 1 KM only. I told to one person that I will complain if you don’t do a fair practice but he had no threat of police.
Please do something take some legal action.

Auto Rickshaw — Higher Fares

Many autos are having faulty meters in mumbai, these autos often have stickers inside them stating the place where they got the meters repaired. Surprisingly more than 80% autos in mumbai have suddenly got the need to repair there meters. The meters often have the stickers like "DINESH', "SAMEER" and so on probably the garage where they got the meter fast. Ex Auto no MH03v 9109 had very meter charginge 30% more . Some times the digits dont go in sequence like from 16 it will directly jump to 18.

Despite the petrol prices coming down drastically, the auto riskshaw drivers are not bringing down the fares in hyderabad.
Please look into this matter. Whenever oil prices increase, they will bring up the fare but the opposite does not happen.

also the auto rickshaws carry 5 passengers, which is risky.

The normal fare for an auo from Laxmi to Borivali is around 75/- to 80/- which i normaly pay but this Auto fare went high to 105/- with no. MH03AA415, which is unbeliavble without any traffic and if theres trafic that doesnot end up to 105
Why dont the RTO incharge take any action against these drivers their liecence should be cancelled

I took a rickshaw from Bandra west linking road for chembur east on 27th october 2010 at around 4pm.
the meter showed 10.60 reading when i reached chembur. there was traffic between sion n chembur but the meter was exceptionally high.

Truly agree with you...please take some immediate steps as such a high fare and bad argument in the morning causes a lot of mess and disturbs the whole routine at work.

I agree, most people in Mumbai face this. Rick no MH - 02 - SA - 2291 refused to ply between Lokhandwala (Andheri West) to Mahakali (Andheri East). He was very rude and abusive to me a lady. Few people then gathered but he said " Mumbai mere UP ke baap ki hai" no one can touch me !
Its sad that media then shows a picture of "BECHARE RICK WALA " who is far from his family fr his stomach. Such media people should be peanalised for misleading the masses.

he auto rickshaws at malad goregaon stations (west) deny taking a fare most of the times. They either rush away with half or full meter down. If not the case they deny a fare. About 80% of the crowd travels to in orbit, hyper city, mind space and Toyota. We need to spend at least 15 -20 mins to get a rickshaw. because of this trouble ppl have started sharing the autos and the rickshaw drivers object to that.I have complained at the local police station and also the RTO but to no heed. At times we have seen the traffic hawaldars around but they are busy eating or talking amongst themselves.

The same has occured outside Hiranadani SEZ where the auto rickshaw driver refused in a very rude and abusive manner.

can we know what action police is taking against this. I reside in Mumbai and my parents stay in Hyderabad. In Mumbai, the mumbai police has started fining the auto rickshaw drivers for disagreeing to travel, or for demanding higher fare.

If any one is aware of online police complaint let me know, otherwise RTI Act seems to be only course.

I just travelled by auto MH02TA1341 from Ganesh chowk, Kandivli (W) to Kulupwadi, Borivli (E) and his meter showed 39 while as i travel this distance every day it should be maximum 30.
When I questioned the same he started shouting at me. This kind of behaviour is absoultely unaceptable. Pls take action against this driver.

A few days ago i had to travel from Madivala to NGV in the morning, around 6 O’clock.
I know the normal auto rate, it would come to 25 Rs in the meter, but not more.
I went towards the auto stand, and was immediately surrounded by a cloud of autowallah’s. I asked the rate, thinking 1 and a half rate would be fine since it was early in the morning, and was prepared to give up to 35 Rs.
The response i got from the autowallah’s when i queried for the rate to NGV was :

I hired a rickshaw from Dahisar (east) mininagar, ravalpada to Saidham, Kandivali (east). Usually the fare comes to Rs.28-29. But the rik i took charged me 36 Rs. The number of the rickshaw was MH 02 TA 7569. I warned auto driver about the fast running of his meter, but he didn't took it seriously.
One more auto driver charged me Rs.41 for the same distance (I could not take the no. of that auto).

I hired a rickshaw from andheri (east) sher e punjab, to nanavati hospital, vileprle (west). Usually the fare comes to Rs.25-28. But the rikshawala took charged me 74 Rs. I called an auto(KA-02A /8487(driver name-Ramanna)) from majestic to yaswanthpur railway station.He charged 500Rs/-.He had a faulty meter .He threatened me and snatched this amount.I complained in traffic police station, even approached some consumer courts.Every body had their own reasons for being helpless.Nobody could help me.can I get justice?

It is the common problem across Hyderabad with the latest digital meters. I face this problem everyday when I travel from Begumpet stn to Begumpet policeline stop. The actual distance is about 2.1-2.2 km, and on Monday auto meter showed 3.2km and though I argued with him, its of no use. I noted down that auto number also and it is: AP10V 7312.
Can anyone tell us ph numbers/site where we can report these problems so that immediate action is taken.
everyday at Begumpet station atleast 20-30 autos will be there but no one comes on meter. everyone demands more than double the amnt. For my distance auto meter charge is 13/14 rupees and they demand for Rs 30. This is very unfair for the concerned dept as they are not taking any needed action.

This is becoming irritatingly common in Hyderabad. I travel daily from Begumpet Shyamlal to Panjagutta, and the distance is around 2.4 to 2.5 km. This would mean less than Rs 15 by the old meter and around Rs 19 by the new meter. Almost once a week, I get an auto whose reading will be significantly higher. Either the waiting charges would have been more than half an hour for a five to ten minute journey (depending on traffic at the Begumpet bridge) or the meter shows a few kilometers more. I have experienced the latter almost always on Right FM meters! Today[protected], Auto Reg No. AP13 W7071 with a Right FM Meter (Sl no. 4401) had a meter reading of Rs. 33 with a kilometer reading of 4.5! I argued with the driver who kept audaciously telling me that I should be giving a complaint to the police instead of arguing with him. I ended up paying him, and when I tried to complain to the policemen on duty at Panjagutta X Roads, they were not even willing to listen. So that perhaps explains the auto driver's confidence. I am at a loss, really wondering if I should start walking to office or start driving myself! Help... What should be done?

CHPL — Tampered Digital meters in hyderabad

I am ending up paying everyday 30-35Rs extra due to tampered digital meters. Auotwalas got their own tactics, they stop the vehicle all of a sudden n restart the auto, interm the amount and Km jumps up to Rs 30-35 n increase in kilometer proportionately.
Similar two incidents I faced and ended up paying Rs 35 extra

Today (17/03/2009) we took an auto from Kothapet (saroornagar) to Care Hospital Banjara Hills the fare came to Rs 92, we took the same route back from Care Hospital, Banjara Hills to Kothapet the auto meter showed Rs 137.00 (Auto No AP13 X3950) the auto driver says that because of traffic the charges were more. i would like that some action be taken against the said auto driver for not able to cheat others further.

Auto Rickshaw — Tampered digital meters

It happened when I travelled by an auto in Hyderabad.
The travel distance was 5.9/6 Km as per other auto rikshaws which i travel daily( from past 1.5 yr) . But this auto (AP 13X 7727 ) which i travelled today showed 7.4 Km.
The travel was from Bowenpally to police line.And also Auto drivers say that there is no community that take care of auto rikshaw compliants.
I would request the authority to take the neccessary action to avoid the same situation happening to others .

auto — Misbehave and Tampered Meter

I got down near to majestic and called for an Auto.He agreed to go by meter .We didn, t even gone 1 km and his meter (not electronic one) was showing more than the fare for 3 km(>Rs 21 ).I asked him to stop the auto and got down.
He made very lewd gestures and kept raising his voice.
When i was noting down his number, he was showing gestures as if wants to fight.
Please save Bangalore from this kind of people, who are spreading bad name for bangalore.

It happened that I travelled by an auto Rikshaw in Hyderabad from Taj Krishna to Begumpet (Pantaloons). The travel distance was 5.1 Km as per other auto rikshaws which i travel daily. But this auto which i travelled today showed 11.1 Km.

I hailed an autorickshaw from Masab Tank to Banjara hills Rd. no 10. The auto driver agreed to go but his metre did not start from zero. The metre is starting from 0.01 KM and when I asked him about it he started telling me that it is a new metre which starts from this only and when I argued he told me to get down from his auto. I was also not in a mood to travel in an auto with tempered metre so I got down and hailed another auto. The number of the auto is AP V10 5633. Please do take necessary action.

When I started questioning than he asked me to get down and since I was not in the mood to travel in an auto with a tempered metre so I got into another one. The number of the auto is AP 10V 5633. Please do take the necessary action.

This complaint is regarding consumercompaints.in, which is nothing but a decoy to destract or a way to relieve the anger. Consumers register compalint spending time and details and relieve there anger, however no action is taken on complaints even when all details are mentioned.
Auto drivers are least bothered about websites and policemen, may be they are all the same!

I took an auto from Food World, West Marredpally to Police Line, Begumpet. It's a daily route that I take to reach my office, and it costs me less than Rs. 25 by auto.

However, it cost me Rs 35 by meter when I took the above mentioned auto-rickshaw (details mentioned above). It would seem to be a difference of just Rs 10, but it's approximately 1.5 times the normal fare.

From Food World, West Marredpally to YMCA, Secunderabad - the distance is less than 0.7 kms, however the meter of the concerned auto showed a reading of 1.2 kms.

Kindly understand the problem and take a note of the complaint. It's high time that some strict steps are taken against such auto-drivers.

Auto Rikshaws in Hyderabad — Meters not working or not present

Many auto rikshaw drivers bargain and demand for bulk amounts, refusing to use meters. Some of the autos either do not have meters or meters are not working. They are troubling the passengers a lot. Law enforcing authorities should take strict action on a continous basis.

Because many people were observing meter jam day, the rickshaw's on the road were acting very difficult. i travel by the same route every single day and ever since the increased fair, i have never paid more than 20 rupees. this is from bandra station to perry cross road, bandra. This auto driver has the audacity to ask me for 35 rupees to take the same route because (aap logo ne bahut hadtaal kar diya"

i am not complaining because i want my 15 rupees back. i am complianing aganst the rickshaw meter tampering, wherein it shows more than the actual fair to be charged and the audacity of the rickshaw drivers now a days, who do not respect the customer, and turn around and shout at them.

The badge number of this driver is 181283 from mumbai. he claims to live near the bandra reclamation area.

if there are other similar complaints about this rickshaw driver, i wud request some action be properly taken

This is regrading the auto rickshaw with registration number KA AA-5870. I had hired this rickshaw from Jayanagar 2nd Block RV road to Murugeshpalya at around 1.45 pm on Dec 30, 2010.

Initially it seemed fine for a few kilometers but then I noticed that the meter fare was jumping by one rupee for every 5-7 meter distance. I got panicked because from Jayanagar 2nd Block to Oasis Mall in koramangala , the fare was already Rs 130. And I swear that the meter was rising every 5-7 meters distance which is way too, too much. I argued with him that the meter is not correct. He could not respond and answer me properly. Finally, I asked to drop me much before Pizza Hut in Kormangala as he was clearly a fraudulent driver. Moreover, I also later noticed that he did not have his identity and license details at the back of his seat, which usually is present in all auto rickshaw's in Bangalore.

Same morning I had taken another auto from Murugeshpalya to Jayanagar 2nd Block and I was charged Rs 99, which I felt was fine, given the distance. But the latter one actually conned me. I asked him to stop, and had to walk from Pizza Hut in Koramangala to my place in Murugeshpalya.

I request that the concerned authorities take strict action against this auto driver with rickshaw registration number KA AA-5870. You will still find that the license number , photograph is missing at the back of driver's seat and in front of the passengers. Also, test the digital meter. It is no way correct. He is cheating people.

Please take action at the earliest.

Auto Rickshaw Meter Faster than normal — Auto Rickshaw meter faster than normal

I traveled from Nehru Road, Vile Parle (East) to Seepz Andheri (Eas) and auto number was MH-03-BA-64. Normally the meter reading is between Rs2.90 to Rs.3.50. Since I travel daily by auto I know what is the normal range of fare. I have seen the meter reading of Rs.2.90 even with heavy traffic on the road. However even after giving the benfit of doubt about traffic it shouldn't cross beyond Rs.3.50, however today it was Rs.4.00. I had to pay Rs.53 which normally ranges between Rs.35 to 45. I brought this to the notice of Auotrkishwala. I told him to take the auto to police. Then he started aruging and kept doing so. However since I was also in hurry to report to office, I couldn't take him to police. His meter was FAST and hence need to take appropriate action against him. His Auto number was MH-03-BA-64.

Tampered Digital meters in Hyderabad
It happened that I traveled by an auto Rikshaw in Hyderabad from RTC X Roads to Nizampet Road. The travel distance is 21.1 KM as per other auto rikshaws which i travel daily. But this auto which i travelled today showed 36 KM.

I was struck in traffic and that's when I saw the meter clocked 0.6 KM even though we have not traveled 50 M and when I asked the driver he told me "Saab waiting toh lagega na"

We took two rickshaws from country club veera desai road to Santacruz north avenue where as one rickshaw showe a fare of Rs. 51.00 the other rickshaw no. MH 03 AK 1296 showed Rs. 70.00 even after showing him the fare of other rickshaw which had followed the same route the driver was very rude and arrogant and insisted on the fare. Requesting you to take necessary action so that other passengers do not suffer.We can understand a difference of Rs. 2/3 but not Rs. 19.00.

Hi.. i commute very rarely in auto seeing this type of misbehaviour, as most of the auto drivers are very rude or else there meter readings are not correct. once i taken an rick from M.S palya to Malleshwaram 13th cross it was an digital meter luckly, that charged me 78/-, and while returning via same route we have taken another rick and that was above 100/- rs i asked that driver he started fighting with us just for nothing and he used many abused language.. his auto number is "KA-05 C6102", his batch no. is 5623, DL number- 14961/96. After so many complain also if you people are not taking this matter seriosly than sorry to say we need to look for some other option.. that can worse.. Do you`ll really feel something is been done for our complaints on this website. Its been more than a year now that i had complained against a rickshaw fellow (MH02 9374) on 22-05-08. but sorry to say that this seems of no help nor does it provide any kind of a solution. When a website is developed it should be taken care of properly i feel. Thats really bad as even after 1 1/2 years the situation of Mumbai rickshaw drivers are not taken care of indeed the situation has worsened.

I was appreciative of hyderabad autos after my experience with chennai autos. I thought hyderabad autos follow meters very well. But these days they are behaving like rowdies. One guy charged 160Rs from Big Bazaar ameerpet to NAture cure hospital while this would have only come to Rs 30 by meter. The are fleecing the public. Is there no one to impose the meter rule?

I was in the way to office today morning around 9 am on Srinagar Colony Road. One Auto Rickshaw moving towards Srinagar Colony signal. Both Auto and my self moving parallel on the road suddendly the Auto Rickshaw fellow turned right and hit me due to stagnant water on the road. l fell down at that instant and got minor injuries. the Auto Rickshaw fellow went away without stopping. Actually the Auto Rickshaw was loaded with 7-9 members.The Auto Rickshaw No was AP28 1290. why these bledy are driving so rashly voilating the traffic rules and creating problems. why traffic police are not taking any charge on those fellows even there a restriction of 3 passengers in an Auto Rickshaw.

I am staying near Lingampalli and in this area maximum auto rikshaws doesn't have any meter and even if they have meter they dont use it and take twice or thrice amount.
Today morning i had taken one auto from lingampalli station to BHEL township which is hardly 1-1.5km in distance. he charged me 40rs.Meter was also there but he didn't start it and said that its not working.
i had to reach early so didn't had any option.

This is about high auto charges in Hi-Tech city areas.
Auto Drivers are not following the normal way of charging by Meters.
(Just to note: from Gachibowli - Infy , its just 2 km- means 2* 8= 16 max if they are using Meter).
This is what they are doing. Asking 6RS from a single , They will fill 6 Persons per autos, not a good travelling Experience. means total 36.If we are travelling as single, for sure they will ask for 30 RS without putting Meter, which is 2times the original amount to be charged.

I dont know whether this is the right place to raise my complaint. But kindly make sure this is going to be dealt by the right authorities as 1000s are affected here not getting justice.

If the Auto drivers are not following Laws, can we just have some more bus services through this routes

Just to add a few, for routes, through which buses are not there
Example Hitec city - kothaguda., minimum charge is 15 for share autos.
Thats too much.
Doesnt matter, where we go.
from infosys to DLF, just 1km max, charge is 15 as equal as Infosys to Kothaguda.
So what they are getting is 15* 6= 90 per one trip.
Infy- Kothaguda - 4 km. as per meter charge 8*4= 32.
3times the normal amount.
These guys wont allow any autos running on meters and they will shout on passengers if we hire one incase we get.

auto drivers are a real mess to handle when they say a paerticular amount and charge extra.how can a middle
class person travel from hyderabad to jubilee hills with a meter of 100 rs.and yet be asked for the revised meter charges 30 extra.this is getting too much.please look into this issues as we have people in hyderabad who have not travelled in buses and are not willing to as well.if this is the case for auto charges.auto rickshaws can be banned, it wont be useful anymore.

I wonder how many complaints are actually considered here. It seems to me that the more we tolerate and complain the more haughty these people become.

Today while going by a rickshaw, the meter read 11 on the rickshaw's meter. The rickshaw driver charged me 14 while my official card said 12. Even though i pointed it out, he was adamant and rude and would not listen to me at all.

His rickshaw number was MH 02 6665 a number that i will not forget.
If i do see him again i promise to make sure that i will take him to the police.
I realise that most complaints have no or very little action taken against them due to are organisational system that exists in our country.

We need to complain that the auto drivers in rickshaw stand at airoli toll naka refuse to go for short distance as for mulund, nahaur and bhandup.
As ladies we find very difficult for traveling, we however manage in the morning time but in evening after 6 p.m its a big problem waiting for rickshaw for 15 -20 minutes. its not that there is no rickshaw in stand there are many but no one wnts to go for short distance.
please request you to solve the problem at the earliest so that in future we wont face this problem.

We should not only complain about autos we need to complain against the nearer traffic police also, if you feel trouble directly complain in the high court with these damm things. These traffic police and auto walahs are sucking common people's blood like dengue mosquitoes.

I was on the way to my home on lakdikapool to Masabtank at 7.30 to 8.00 PM (between) near opp to petrol bunk (Niloufer Hospital) due to traffic vehicles are moving slowly (with stop and go) suddenly from back one autorickshaw driver hit my new vehicle and my left indicator has broken and the driver was arguing as it was my mistake Auto No : AP13V 1824, even the traffic police also ignored. I had a terrible experience today while travelling by auto from nallakunta to himayathnagar. After crossing fever hospital, a cop tried to stop the auto . As I was expecting the driver to come to the side of the road, he suddenly took a u-turn and started driving in the opposite direction at an unimaginable speed, obviously, in an attempt to flee the police! Its like a nightmare finding myself in an auto travelling on that narrow road, facing speeeding vehicles with no place to escape ! He sped this way for atleast 500 metres before he took a turn into one of the by-lanes.I literally had to jump off the auto as it slowed . When I was him, why the police stopped him and why he is fleeing, he said because he was not wearing a uniform! Reason :Actually they should carry 4 member in back side but what happening here is Auto driver carrying too many members like 5 to 7 member backside and front 3 members beside of auto driver . patients, ladies and elders (aged persons)They are struggling like any thing, facing problems like, unable to seat in auto with too much crowed and front who are seating with auto driver some time there is a chance to fell down from auto, patients are unable to board the auto with crowd, they are not giving respect to people behavior is not good and very very very poor service ..

On 19 Jun 2016 around 10:00 hrs in front of more shopping complex in sun city golcunda, this auto driver named Srinivas Raddy was driving auto number TS13 UA5462. He was overspeeding and bashed his auto in my daughter who was riding her bycycle. I was also there behind my daughter when I tried to stop him and told him to go to police station then other auto driver also came and trying to create hostile atmosphere. I took the photograph of the number plate and left him. May I request to please look into the matter and try to cancel his driving license due to the following reasons: -

1. Overspeeding.

I would like to inform about the misconduct of 2 Auto Drivers of Auto Number: AP23Y 1481. Today morning around 11 am, me and my sister were told to adjust with other 2 lady passengers in the auto in the back seat near Raghavendra Colony. Though we were not ready the driver started the vehicle without listening to us. I asked him it was really difficult to sit in such an odd position and why he didn't stop the vehicle. He said to give him 15/- whereas I had 20/-, so I asked other auto drivers if they have change of 10/-. Since then, this auto driver started misbehaving us. So we went to nearby shop to get the change, however all of a sudden those 2 auto drivers came in and started scolding us in bad words. Though we gave them total money that he asked for, both of them started misbehaving us with returning the money to our hand and trying to touch us which was not less than any mental torture.

We had to leave that area asap as we didn't find any traffic police nearby to complain. We already told them that we will complain against them when they were running behind us. Please take strict actions against these kind of drivers who try to harass women passengers everyday this way.

Driver of auto rickshaw with registered number of TS 11 UA 0131 has tampered the digital meter. The distance in the meter jumps up by more than 50% and for the geographical distance of 2 km will end up showing as 3.5km. Please book the auto driver.

I totally agree that the rickshaw fellows are creating a lot of nuissance nowadays. They should be there to help people reach their destination in time and not to trouble them which is the current situation in Mumbai.

The meters are always fast..being a regular traveller i know the the general fares. Have noticed that the numbers starting with MH03 the meter are fast.

I stay in Goregaon, Saibaba complex, there are auto rickshawas statnding in the queue however, they refuse to come to station in the morning. Which is a peak time for the office going people.

I really wish that the authorities should do something for this as as per my knowledge the rickshaw fellow shouldn`t say NO to a customer when he is on his duty...wether it be a nearby destination or a faraway destination.

Looking for a better response or indeed a help for a regular paasenger.

I completely agree with you, i suggest the the governing authorities to take some quick action against these drivers who are driving us crazy. they plainly refuse to go even if they are on road & reading newspaper or chit chatting.
The authorities should invest in some promotion campaingn to stop these. A person who needs to reach somwhere on time cannot reach as the buses are either late or full crowed we completely depend on Rickshaw for travel specually when it comes for short distance they straight way refuse to come.

Actually these meters are said to be known as Mohamadbhai' Meters. Pl do something about these rickshaws of MH03. If RTO can not do anything, just make appeal to people not to take rickshaws of MH03 which run 40% more.

My friends visited bangalore for the first time today and have the worst impression about the people in the city.
This auto driver took them round and round bangalore and finally they ended up paying him 700 rs from the railway station to residency road and also when they got down near the residence, the auto driver pinched a girl's hip and laughed and he was smelling strongly of alcohol!!!

This is the worst thing I have ever heard happening in my city.
I always boasted about my city Bangalore, about the helping nature of the people here and everything.
But everything got ruined today and I am very very depressed about this.

After we reached the water tank stop, The auto driver demanded that each o[censored]s has to pay the meter fare individually. When we questioned him, he started abusing both o[censored]s very offensively. When i was noting down the auto number, he came on to me and abused me very scarily. At last the girl with me got very scared and payed the 60 rupees.

MH-03 autos are really very fast. In traffic generally meter runs very fast. auto driver don’t keep change and generally we have to loose 1 or 2 rupees extra. Fuel prices are dropped substantially but auto meters rates never come down.

I usually travel from Ghatkopar to Marol pipeline. I have to request atleast 15-20 autowalas every morning to come to Marol. First of all they are not ready to come, secondly they want only one or two passengers, since the auto is not able to pull the weight (as said by them) on slopes or inclinations. So after a say my destination is Marol, I have to also say that I am travelling alone. Are these machines so weak ?? Why don't we have them line up at the station and the passengers also follow a queue system, and the autowalas move out in a sequence as per the passengers destination in the line up. Why is it such a mess every morning ?

I travel from Kurla to Andheri Seepz via sakinaka (little ahead of Marol) everyday, as you all rightly pointed out 90% of the rickshaws meters are tampered and run upto 30 - 40 % fast. RTO is not doing anything about it, here is what I do. The Fare from kurla to seepz comes to 45 Rs hence everytime I pay the rickshaw guy only that much, sometimes they haggle and take 50. Tell them their meteres are jacked up and if they still dont think the paid fare is fair then come to the nearest police station or traffic constrable, they are scared of them and will oblige.
And regarding the meters being fast I befriended some rickshaw guys while travelling and they agreed that they have tampered with the meters, one even told me that the actual fare from Seepz to Kurla via Western express highway comes to around 60. ( I pay 75 Rs via this route, although most meters show 95 - 110)

Stand up for yourself and give them lesser fare, dont give up.

I agree with the fares showing extremely high by the MH03 meters. I took a rickshaw from Ghatkopar station to Powai and by the time I had reached Ghatkopar depot his meter was showing 38 Rs. I got this to his notice that I have been travelling by the same route for more than 5 years and on an average the fare is between 32-35 Rs. He immediately stopped the vehicle and asked me to get another rickshaw and pay him 40 Rs then and there. After 5 minutes of argument and me not getting down from the ricksaw he started the vehicle again and then he did not drop me near my office but at the main road of powai.Since I was getting late for office I didn't argue much and paid him only 35 Rs although his meter was showing 53 Rs . I have noted down his number which is MH03 V 2242 and I think crooks like these are creating big nuisance for our society.
I request for a strict action to be taken against this rickshaw driver so that he gets his meter rectified as well as behave appropriately so that any one does not have to face inconvinience just the way I did.

Auto Driver — MH 03 6207

I was traveling from Ghatkopar to Chandivali. between the travel driver said oil was less in his auto so wanted to fill the same. He took a long route and kept me waiting for about 5 minutes. I daily commute by thus route it costs between Rs. 45 to 50. The charges gone up to 65. i told the same thing to him but he went away without listening.

Please take appropriate action.

I travel from Andheri station east to IITB Powai via mahakali road. generally meter reading, I get, is between 65 to 70, inside the campus, which is correct and as per this link - http://www.iitb.ac.in/campus/howto/howtoget.html . Sometimes due to traffic it exceeds 70 which is also acceptable. but with MH03 J 2484 it was 77 even I had not entered into IIT campus . I asked the driver about meter reading. He started arguing with me and that fellow was quite rude like I have done some mistake and he is doing charity for me. I told him I am a regular traveler and please check your meter. He said if you have doubt complain against me. Fellow was very confident like nothing will happen to him even if I complain. I asked him his name and he refused to tell. Since I was In a hurry, I left. "Strict action" against this is required to stop this kind of loot.

I took a auto today from malad to Hiranandani. On my way i did feel that the meter was running fast then normal. Finally when i reached Hiranandani, the driver asked me to pay 115 bucks. I did ask him if the meter was too fast as normally it does not go above 95 bucks. The driver then told me to pay 10 rs less & said the meter was a bit fast. The Auto number was MH03-AK-4020. Kindly take the required action & hopefully i will get a response to this from respective authorities.

I do agree with the above. I m staying in Kandivali Lokhandwala. Neither we get auto rickshaw from Station to Lokhandwala and nor From Lokhandwala to Station. The Fare is Rs 6 but they charge Rs 10 in sharing which is not acceptable. More suprising is that the traffic police is not interested in hearing our problems and they do stand and gossip over there. They are more interested in taking hafta from Rickshaw drivers. This matter is becoming serious day by day but i dont see any solution coming up. Further you can see that Kandivali East is having highest no.of Rickshaws. RTO should take strict action against the same including the traffic police and should have system so that the public suffer can be stopped.

I boarded an auto rickshaw 0n[protected] no- MH-05 D 5549 ) to drop me to my house from dombivli station ( w ).
The Rickshaw driver was staring at me the whole journey .
when I reached my destination i had to give 12 RS/- I gave him 7 rs coin + a 5 rupee note .
the note was not so bad . the driver did not take it and started to argue for that note by using vulgar words which normal auto drivers never use it in our locality and I saw him 1st time . he may be drunken .
KALYAN / DOMBIVLI TRAFFIC CONTROL ( W ) should make sure AUTO-RICKSHAW drivers should be sinceir and non-drug addicted to provide social transportation. I request strict action to be taken against this rickshaw driver so that he behaves appropriately to any stranger and that one does not have to face such violent act .

i took auto from Rajendra Nagar, Borivali east to charkop sector-2 kandivali west . On my way i did feel that the meter was running fast then normal.then i just asked, "why your meter is too fast" then he just said that chick chick mat karo chup chap baitho nahito dhakka marke bhaga dega"and started shouting on me . he just dont know how to talk with a woman.
It happened on today at 7.15pm and that autorickshaw number is MH 02 TA 583.
Can you please take some action against his meter and his misbehaiviour.

i stay in kalyan, and i m facing a terrible problem of the unsystematic way of auto styles followed here.I hv been staing in chembur for the past 23 years, and post my marriage last 6 months it is is absolutley suprizing to see 2 extreme ends of the same city one end - colaba, dadar, sion, kurla, till thane, taxi's & rick proper availability and meter systems in place, there is a systematic que system..a common man after hanging in train when is out of the station platform in the eveing he is well assure that he will reach home comfortablly, but at the other end -Kalyan - u will get to see the worst horrible state of auto services provided in this city.
1) firstly no meter system atall, for a minimum distance which is likely 10-11rs, the autofellow charges 30/- by calling it as "special auto" and then u are either forced to walk that distance or take sharing auto.
2) now to find a sharing auto it is mamonth task everday in the morning as well as in the evening.
3) no que system atall
4) With the recent skywalk construction going on at the station, the roads are pack in the morning as well as in the eveing, this leads the auto fellow to drop the citizens far away from the station
5) at the dead end of the station the reason for traffic is also because of the ST bus depo, which has all thier buses lined up on the road itslelf resulting traffic jam everyday..
6) in the bargain citizen is suffering morning-eveing and the auto fellows are having gr8 time as they are earning extra (by the share system-per person 6 rupees- 4persons per auto, so total at a time he is earning24 rupees for a mim distance of 10-11rs.by meter) upon that he is not even delivering what is required by them

Rickshaw walas are bloddy .they are never come along for short distances.They should be hanged to death. and stripped .

Rickshaw walas are a bloddy nuissance to the city.they are useless.They are never helping.

well m day to day commuter of autorikshaw nowadays most of the rikshaws hav tempered meter ..and on top of it when we say them they start shoutin on us.today same thing happened and when i said to that rikshaw driver that ur meter is too fast coz at place where meter does'nt even start running it reached 15 on his meter that is i travel from ghatkopar to chandivali...and as i said him this thing he start shoutin at me that dont act smart i know what is all..n suddenly he stoped the rickshaw n pushed me out of it...by holdin my bag..that is my college bag...n came as if he is going to beat me...n when i refused to pay..he gave me really bad words..n he acted like animal on road by givin so many bad words i don even know d meaning of.His rikshaw no is.MH 03 AA 5311.its kind of abuse because i just said what i know and for no reason he pushed me out n gave bad words.

i agree that a lot of them have tampered rickshaw meters. i am a victim too. can we have a list of rickshaw numbers having tampered meters, so that we can send one such list to the consumer court with all of our email ids and contact numbers. ideally we could start the scare by clicking the pic of the rickshaw number. once the awareness starts, it may help.

we are just writing our complaints but do you people think... is it making any sense?
Do any one is bother to sit & read our complaint against the auto wala's & come back to us. its all useless

Sir yesterday i found one auto riksaw driver in bhiwandi Thane was continously putting horn back to me and driving unsafe and too fast i told him why you are making such pathetic activity then he started using abusive words to me he was drunk and told me do what you want to do.I told him that i will file case against him but he was like take my name no. and address and do whatever you want i have no fear of any rules.

I request you please take an action against auto riksaw driver and teach him to behave.The auto riksaw no. is MH04JH5871.
