[Resolved]  Croma Retail — Poor Customer Service

This is in response to the rather lousy service I have been facing over the past 2-3 days from the AC dept at the Croma Bandra branch. Infact last week itself i had purchased a Sony Home theatre from the same outlet. I had visited the store on Sunday and wished to go in for the Onida 1.5 ton split AC, the salesperson told me there would be a site inspection on Tues, yet till tday no ones bothered to come. Today Ive made almost 6 calls and the people keep saying 1/2 an hr, 1 hr.

First time experienced that TATA is also sitting in the line of poor and non committed business tycoons line and begging for the money. Taking the money from clients for the extra and extended warranty and don't have the services after that. They don't have the facility & adequate manpower to handle the client complaints.

They show lot of irresponsibility towards their customers even list bother to reply to customer query also. I bought each and every appliances & products from them with trust and good name of TATA by paying them extra warranty money also. But found it is one of money making scheme and frauds only. Because after that your are one of the DONKEY for them follow them and they will run away from you.

NO services after sales. They made the money now they are not responsible.

WHOLE TATA SYSTEM IS DUMB AND DEAF NOW because RATAN TATA, JRD TATA are not there to take care sitting all & monkey only.

" If you are giving burning lamp in hands of Monkey he will burn his House first." Like these Monkey definitely bring down the TATA's values and ethics and principles about their business. Now these business are not of TATA it is personal gained business only.

Search other good localities who will serve you better by paying good.

Croma service is very very very very poor quality. no customer service . useless customer care service.I have purchased croma refrigeration from croma. I have complained so many times in customer care center to solve my problem. after 7 days nobody attended my problem. croma fridge is like KACHARE KA DABBA . croma product is useless. I will never suggest any to purchase croma product or an product from croma center.
Starting 26/9/12, last 15 days i have been waiting for the magnetron of my CROMA microwave which broke down within 8 months. over 10 calls and 5 commitments later the poor microwave is stiii awaiting the magnetron. assurances & commitment it seems have no value for them. This is particularly shocking as the Company is a TATA entity, a name people have in the past sworn by as an epitome of ethics and scruples. As much as the terrible inconvenience it has caused to me, it has hurt more to see that the fair name of the TATAs has been brought to such disrepute.

The tata group is falling off for sure. Let me write about Croma for now. I will write about Tata AIA later. About 10 days ago i booked an apple mac on croma online. For two days i did not hear anything. First they had no clue. After 2 more days, after i called they say the item is not in stock. Now they tell me it will take 14 days to refund my Rs. 65, 000. Is that a small amount of money? Is the company so poor that he has to take money like this and fund their working capital?
Chroma retails are a big time 'CHEAT'

I wonder if there is anyone who would take action over all our complaints noted here...
However, I want to share one, I bought this black hand bag from Chroma Bandra.. the name of the shop was 'Desire' ladies hand bags ( ground floor). I bought it for Rs 2000/, Im sure all over here would agree that this is not a small amount to ignore, while on my way I found a minor defect on the bag as in a little torn, however, I went back to the guy to change it, I showed him the problem and he told me hez taking it to his store room n will check. He brought the bag back and I considering he changed it was relieved, n told him this time you check it well n give me, out of trust.
Again on the way I though lets check this one, and out of my surprise I saw that he put a black marker over that defect and gave me the same bag. (I ive attached the pic )
this was my worst experience, Ive never gone thru something so so crazy, but again I took it back to him telling him what he did was very wrong, but he told me I told you im doing the needful. Is this really the needful he could have done???
And shamefully he was not ready to show me any alternative to this bag and ultimately I had to take away the one with defect. Nor he reduced the price and gave me any money back after checking the defect nor gave an alternative.
My experience here was mind blowing and next time I dont think I would ever visit Chroma Bandra, coz if such retailers are in then its worthless visiting such a mall.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CROMA - BIG CHEATS

I ordered a product at Croma Retail about 1 month ago. After making the purchase online, i waited for a few days for product. But when i tried to enquire customer support team, i was informed the SLA number is not generated and without it the product will not be shipped. I called the cust rep team on a daily basis, and every time the response was - we will get back to you in 24 hours. Finally after more than 10 days i was informed that the product is not available in warehouse and the order cannot be honoured. WoW !! it took them so much time to figure out that the product is not available. Even Mr Arvind, who is head of customer care deptt assured me that he will reply me about the status on checking, did not call / SMS me. Its amazing to see that there was no email communication after every elapsed time-period asked by customer reps.

Then was the turn to refund back the money. More than 2 weeks after generating the order, the refund was initiated. I was assured that the money will be transferred in max 1 week. Not to my surprise, there was no transaction made and the money was not refunded in last 10 days. On calling cust rep again, they claim that the money is already transferred, however they cannot provide transaction id!!! I am now wondering if there is any system they have which works !!! Order management system does not work (SLA number was not gereated), Billing system does not work (refunding the money) and even the email services dont work (no reply on status).

To sum up the engagement with Croma retail, there are a few terms which will suit it:
- Inefficient people
- Liars
- Unprofessionals
- Using systems that dont work
- CHEATS

Till now after 4 weeks of transaction, I do not have the product, neither have my money refunded

I would never buy from CROMA, also would suggest others to refrain from it.

I have purchased a croma microwave on full payment from croma store at Mumbai on[protected]. The store people assured a confirmed product home delivery on[protected]. Follow up with their customer support on 16.11.2012 around 3.30 PM (since no response from the company till then) assured that the product will be delivered on 16th itself within the next two hours which not happened. Regular follow up with the customer support went futile till this day and the person attending the customer support (and / or people addressing the issue) does not have any attitude (or means) to provide customer support. If a customer insists on current status, some lame excuses are given. They are not equipped to give the status of product / complaint / service. Registering complaints through their website and /or customer support or similar portal is of little use. (They do not provide any complaint registration ID / Number. Attender at customer support will not provide you with any other service provider contact number, even on specific inquiry). Your calls to store no. that may appear in web portal are also diverted to the call Centre number i.e. [protected]. Such non-responsive attitude is never expected from Tata group / subsidiary
I bought Turgus wireless mouse. But due to the problem with the product, I returned the product on 6th October 2012. Every time i call to the customer care, They says, The product has not reached to the warehouse. Since 2 months i am waiting for my money. :(

Product: Siemens Front loading fully automatic washing machine purchased 2010 July, still in the extended warranty period of 2 years with built in 2 years warranty

I am happy to say that your service engineer Surendra came here this morning and helped (presumably), resolve the two issues of 1. the scum spreading on the clothes and 2. the underwears and similar clothes getting torn. He has made/conducted some adjustments and has assured that the issues would be resolved. (as of now not yet checked, as he says it will take a couple of months for this to show results).

On the contrary the response from Croma who have charged me Rs. 1800/- towards the extended warranty has been pathetic, at the time of purchase o[censored]nit they never informed me that the warranty is not from the company's side but from Croma's side. To add to my misery, they have not responded to the complaint made by me.

Additionally, your executive and you have been telling me that I will again need to pay you the service and spare's charges and will have to claim it once again from Croma. (this was eventually waived when I protested and said that I have already paid once and that I am not willing to undertake this circuitous route, such that you will collect the charges instead from Croma directly), This is clearly a monopolistic and restrictive practice. It is taking me on a merry go round. The terms of the AMC/additional warranty signed by me, there was no mention anywhere or by any of Croma's executive's or for that matter any of your executive about this round about circus what you had in mind for me.

As far as I, as a customer of your's (Seimen's), could see I was a bonafide customer, who was assured by your combined staff at the time of purchase to go in for an additional warranty and upon demanding a service Croma's executives have called me to say even without a check on the machine that this problem is not covered under the warranty. This clearly shows that Croma is doing nothing but cheating activities under the garb of selling additional warranty. This is a clear case of fraud.

I demand a full and complete refund of my fee of Rs. 1800/- from Croma immediately vide a check issued in my name with below details. However, if the same is not released immediately, I will file a case in the consumer forum at Bangalore, detailing the circumstances and Croma, Bangalore will be solely responsible for all consequences and adverse publicity if any.

I had great respect for Tata brand name, and only reason why I have made all my purchases from Croma but now I have been cheated and my trust has been broken by you-people!

Thanks to all the others who have posted, beware friends dont' fall for Tata-tricks department which is selling additional warranty and making money in a wrong and unethical manner. There call center sucks big time.

I bought acer 5742g from croma with extended warranty in bangalore. but there is no service centre address provided to me till date ..i m trying to mail them but no response. its been 4 months, . Dear team I have purchased samsung galaxy s2 on?27.11.2012?of the reference invoice of Slf02a[protected] from dahisar thakur mall. From the next day itself the phone was started getting reboot k concerned with the store from I got the advice that to visit the service center. When I showed my phone there they asked me to keep it over there and they will change the mother board and then the problem will get resolved. After keeping atlest 2 days I got my phone?back.it?was working smoothly after changing the mother board after few days around 2 to 3 days of being usage it got again reboot I thought I should format the phone.I tried that but still I am facing the same problem. I am fedup of this gadget i have contacted to croma call centre I got revert from there that visit the purchased?store.it?means I dont have any work to do apart from running behind my phone service? ?? I don''t expect such services from a Tata group''s croma and samsung. I want solution of my problem without compromising it to get it repaired and if possiable pls replace it. Croma store should be renamed Croma cheat store. they stock inferior and almost obsolete products and literally force those visiting their stote to buy them. There is no after sales service. Do not be fooled by their extended warranty offer, there is no service even in the warranty period and the extended warranty amount [aid to Croma simply goes into their pocket. If in Mumbai never buy from Croma, go to Sony Mony, Vijay Sales or Alpha and get a better initial price deal and better service too.
I purchased refrigerator & LED television from CROMA Aurangabad Maharashtra, looking at brand & Indian company.
I think i have made a big mistake. It took 3 month to resolve my refrigerator problem.
The technicians who visited multiple times are too illiterate & fool, they were advising non technical things to do like wash vegetables, foods, make them dry & then put it in to fridge, keep the ref open for 24 hrs etc...

When ever i approached to CROMA, i get an answer to resolve the query within 2-3 days.

in short.. please do not buy any products from CROMA, their services are very pathetic.
Rather i will advice to the CEO to shut down at-least Aurangabad CROMA.pl stop looting people...

The issue is that apart from the management, the lower employees, delivery boys, installation engineers are all UP-Bihari bhaiyyas. They don't understand that their stupidity is ruining the reputation of their organization and are least concerned about the difficulties that people have to go waiting for the delivery. My father is ill and has to be brought over to Delhi for a treatment. I ordered an AC and expected it to be installed before he arrives. But those liars just committed and never delivered it on time. Now it is delivered and I am sure I have to wait ages before they install it. A working professional cannot be sitting at home waiting for the stars to come in his favour hoping some day the engineer will come. For how long will I tell my boss I need emergency leaves quoting croma as the reason?

This is to bring to your notice theat I purchased a P42XT50D on[protected] withe Invoice No: SLF02A[protected] from Croma Juhu. First no one got in touch withe me for 5 working days till I reached your store in Juhu on thee 15the of last monthe. When I asked for thee reason for delay thee store Manager Mr. Vikas told me theat thee model is not available therough out India but still theey took my order while I was selecting my Plasma. They gave me an apology in written which I am enclosing withe theis mail. They sent me a replaced piece for 5 days till I got my packed piece from thee company.
After i opened thee box I found theat 3D glares which were promised and was billed to me withe thee Plasma is not theere on top of theat thee warranty card of thee plasma is missing. I tried getting in touch withe store people again over thee phone but I got a reply thee next day. They promised me theat theey will be sending thee 3D glares withe thee warranty card in 10 working days i.e. thee 30the but I haven't received any call or confirmation of thee same.
I just wanted to inform you for thee working of your company's employees who take theeir costumers so lightly and don't care about thee services. Kindly look into thee matter and seek my 3D glares and warranty card deliver please.

1. Unfortunately I did the same mistake by Purchasing the AC on 4 May 2013 from CROMA store (KROME, Pune)with an assurance from salesman that by 6th demo will be done.

2. AC was delivered on 5 May at my address

3. Called Customer care on 7th morning, the lady told me that address is not clear. Surprisingly, if the AC can be deliverd at my address so how come "address is not clear' to the demo guy. so I gave the address again.

4. 7-May night, same story repeated by customer care gentlemen. so I gave the address again and complaint was registered.

5. Hope Croma is not testing the customer patience and will act on and get the demo done by 9th May.

6. So I am requesting to CROMA store Pune (CROMA KROME) that If Demo can not be done by 9th May/13. Kindly arrange for the Pick of AC from my residence to back to your store as I don't need additional "show piece" . I already have many

The only way you can talk to anyone at Croma is through a helpline number... I am not kidding you CANNOT reach out even to their own store!!

You have to dial the "help" line which is a long and endless pain for 10 mins listening to pathetic songs and offers. When you talk to somebody you realize either he is not listening to you or no one is listening to him. The bottom line is nothing gets sorted until you call repeatedly.

My advice avoid Croma like a Plague - their deliver, and after sales service trauma is best avoided.
mega mall gurgaon we bought hitachi ac on 30 may from croma store first they told us hitachi will not do installation for window ac so they will come in 48hrs n do it so they came in 15 min installation was done than same day water was dripping out than v read the instruction installation was improper since than v started calling them they cheated they told us they r registering complains but after a week v came to know that by customer service no complains registered even after visiting store twice or thrice.v r still in process... of getting response from them

Wow!! And I thought I was the only one cribbing about things. Looks like we have a bad service epidemic here. Well for whatever its worth I bought this AC from Croma Annanagar chennai and then hell broke loose. It was delivered with the promise of free installation. And now we have people asking us if we have purchased the AC and that its going to cost us to install.

The problem is not with the money its the sort of sales pitch we get to hear when we buy stuff from Croma and then what we get by way of service is total nonsense. In any case despite the fact that we have agreed to pay the money we are yet to see the installation done.
