[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Worst Customer Service by HDFC bank | |||||
Dear Complaint Forum This is Dennis Hankins, Customer with HDFC Bank. To brief you on the situation I had purchased a Micromax A90s phone on 21st November 2012 via Snapdeal.com, and converted it into a 6 months 0% emi and the merchant charged me twice for same item. I had made numerous calls to HDFC Customer service and explained the situation and also informed that I will not make any payment to the credit card until the Duplicate charge and other charges related to it are refunded, they gave me a Complaint reference number:[protected] and asked me to send me the cancellation invoice which I’ve sent . The transaction was refunded on 21st January 2013 (2 months after actual purchase). Before this issue could happen , I had a good relationship with the bank and never defaulted on any payment and was a privileged customer to HDFC. Please check all related transactions before 21st November 2012. The real serious issue which I would like to report to you was the credit card statement dated 14/02/2013 On 19/01/13 there was a Debit of 8566 which was mentioned as a MER EMI, LOAN PRECL,[protected] I called the customer service and asked them for what this amount was charged, none of the customer service representatives where able to give a proper answer on why this was charged and some representatives told me that I had to pay this amount. Isn’t it Misleading the customer, I would request you to track all the calls I made to the customer service. Even some representatives from Grievance Redressal (Level 2 Contact) could not advise me on the credit card statement dated 14/02/2013. This is a very serious service failure on not knowing on how to advise and educate the customer. Finally days later I’ve received a call from a representative, who was able to explain somewhat close to understanding, and later I checked for myself and had it figured out the issue after hours of study it. In addition to the above issue, on numerous occasions I have requested to close my account and also agreed to clear the outstanding amount. But still my account is not closed and the finance and other charges keep accumulating on the account. Instead what HDFC has done is they had closed the card and reissued me a new card, Another Service failure on the part of the bank. Seriously they are not able to empathize with the customer instead they mislead him. Unfortunately, the HDFC Customer service/Grievance Redressal has not performed well and the service provided to me was inadequate. I am disappointed because the service was not performed correctly and the problem is still not solved. That is why I’m escalating this issue to you sir. Please look into this issue and I’m looking for a suitable compensation from HDFC Bank for the bad service which has been rendered to me. Also another request I would like to put forth, I want all the charges (Finance, Late and Service tax ,Other charges) to be refunded from November 2012 till May 2013 – I have already spoken to someone from the Grievance Redressal they informed me that they will get back with a solution , but still I have not received a solution, It has been over a month now. Request you to look into this issue, and whatever is remaining outstanding amount after the above requested charges are reversed I’m willing to pay the remaining amount and close my credit card account. At the time of collecting the documents and at the time of verification I had been told no joining fee and annual fee for axis bank credit card. After receiving the credit card I did not receive any statement... I received SMS after 2 months as “'credit card got outstanding amount
But I haven’t used my card anywhere. I called Hyderabad AXIS Phone banking customer care[protected] to find the reason. The Phone banking customer care automatic system provided the transaction details like the card is not free card.
I got surprised .because I didn’t done any transaction. I called to AXIS bank customer care executive and I explained the transaction details which I got form the phone banking system to know reason why.
He told that my credit card was not applied for free life time card criteria. He asked me that 'from where you got the transaction details’; I answered 'from sms I got outstanding amount and from phone banking system I got detailed transaction'. He suddenly told that you are liar. I asked why you are saying like this. He told me 'I don’t want to argue with me and you are not saying truth'.
I told him that “I will complaint in Consumer Forum on your bank”. He replied me that “what ever you can do you can do…”
Am really fed up with axis bank. This is my first experience with any bank in India.

Credit Card — Worst Credit Card Services
Hello,Don't trust the credit card services of HSBC as they will charge you late fee even after sending the payment within the due date and also they won't send the card statements within the time or they will send it exactly as it would reach you on the due date. If you receive the bill on due date how can make the payment within the time?

HDFC Bank — Service Issue
THIS IS FOR SURE THAT THE SERVICES IS GOOD BUT I AM FED UP WITH THE POLICY OF THIS BANK. EVERY SECOND DAY THEY CHANGE THERE POLICY ACCORDING TO THERE CONVENIENCE.EARLIER ANYONE CAN DEPOSIT MONEY ON ANYONE'S ACCOUNT AT ANY BRANCH, BUT THEY MADE A NEW RULE FOR THAT.
EARLIER ACCOUNT HOLDER CAN DEPOSIT MONEY TO HIS OWN ACCOUNT FROM ANY BRANCH BUT NOW EVEN ACCOUNT HOLDER ALSO HAVE TO GO TO HOME BRANCH TO DEPOSIT MONEY.
THEY STARTED CHANGING FEE FOR WITHDRAWING MONEY IF HE IS NOT A ACCOUNT HOLDER.
I WANT TO ADVICE THEM DONT TRY TO BE SMART AND THINK ONLY ABOUT PROFIT, ALSO YOU SHOULD GIVE A LITTLE THOUGHT ON CUSTOMER'S CONVENIENCE. BECOUSE WITHOUT THEM YOU ARE NOTHING.
