HSBC - Credit Card — Card never issued by HSBC and outstanding reflecting in Cibil

Hi,

FYI
i have applied for a personal loan of 3 lakhs INR from HDFC bank, but the loan got rejected on the grounds that in the cibil an unpaid credit card outstanding of Rs 6750 INR was reflecting of some bank, based on the control no[protected], provided to me from HDFC, i wrote a mail to cibil with all my personal details, Cibil replied to me that the nature is credit card, the bank is HSBC. this was surely to my surprise, i never used a credit card other than ABN AMRO and CITI BANK, i never banked with HSBC, never applied for any of their product, never had any interaction to then till that date, so based on the credit card no[protected], i called up their help line no, the automated system asked for a phone pin no for that card, now how can i possibly have a pin no of a credit card which doesn’t exists for me! then after n number of trying finally a customer care executive did attend my call, only to ask me verification questions, like my date of birth, i told mine, then she replied that the same belongs to my given details but, she cant share any information regarding the same because card is closed now, she gave me credit card help line no.[protected] I tried this no. and executive who was there again said it’s a OPEN CARD Department we cant share CLOSED CARD DETAILS and gave another no.[protected] to 607 but no1 is picking up my calls their,

Please, i will like you to intervene & do whatever is right.

HSBC Credit Card — NEVER USE HSBC CREDIT CARD

I am suggesting all of you not to use HSBC credit cards as they are cheating people like anything......

Because there is no option to pay the amount online if you do not have HSBC bank account and if you will drop check it will not be cleared on your due date

HSBC Credit Cards — HSBC no system of records

I had cancelled my credit card from HSBC on July 2010. The bank officer in Gariahat Branch kolkata stamped my application with CArd destroyed and later I received letter from HSBC confirming the cancellation. In April 2011 HSBC sent anuual fee notice to my home. When I call their call center they inform me that the card is still active in their system. Are they stupid ?? Now I am wasting my time telling them they can confirmed to me that the card is cancelled. Great Job HSBC hope someone reads these posts and never gets credit card from your bank ever!!!!

Hi Indranil,

What has happend to you is a common issue people face while closing a card. Banks never have their records updated on time. Now apart from this i am pretty sure your CIBIL is also affected and due to this you will suffer when in dire straits you will need a loan and a bank will not approve of it. If you would like help with this to sort it out in a legal manner contact me on[protected]/ [protected] or email me at [protected]@debtdoctorindia.com
Kindly provide e.mail address of customer care of ABN AMRO BANK IN INDIA/ NEW DELHI.
Thanks
