I Mukesh Kumar, hold a HSBC credit card. Before four or five months HSBC customer care executive called me and refer the TATA AIG Gen. Insurance plane, than arrange a call from TATA AIG. He told me that time, sir pls. review this policy for two month. If you are not satisfied, cancel this policy at a time. In review period we have deducted 10/- rupees for each month from your credit card account. After the review period TATA AIG will call you for continue the policy or cancel it. But I didn't get any call form TATA AIG and every month they deducted around 329 + service tax/- rupees from my credit card account. When I contacted with HSBC customer care, they provide me a TATA AIG contact number and told, sir pls. contact on this number, they cancel your policy immediately. But nothing will taken care. From that number I got another toll-free number whic is out of serivce.

Dear Sir/Madam,



I am Sandeep Lohchab, I used to carry a HSBC credit card and few days after receipt of Credit Card, I got a call from TATA AIG saying that “TATA AIG-HSBC have made a partnership for general insurance”. That executive start telling me about the plan and start gathering me the information, I told him that I don’t require this kind of policy. Instead of my denying he sent me the policy.



After receipt of the policy, again I called the TATA-AIG that I don’t want this policy. But no action has been taken and when I receipt the statement that policy premium amount was there.



After that I called HSBC and TATA AIG many times. They are saying that you have to give written application for cancellation. Then I told that I have never opted for this policy then why should I apply for cancellation.



But they are always adding that amount to my statement.



Finally I destroyed the card.



But, still I am getting the calls from them regarding the payment.



Please help me what should I do in such situation.



AS I HAVE NEVER GIVE ANY ACCEPTANCE IN WRITTEN THEN WHY THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR THIS KIND OF POLICY.

I have a slight dif issue... I have a car insurance from Tata AIG. They got the Cheque from me and got it credited one month ago.. but still i have not received the policy.. When i call the person responsible for that, he says it will come today, tomorrow.. etc... going on...

I think of going to consumer court.. what are your suggestion guys....
Same thing here except it was a mediclaim policy....The Tata AIG guys are really troubling me to retain the policy. I talked with the HSBC credit card guys and they have promised to take action. Lets join hand freinds and give a complaint in consumer court so that these guys do not harrass others.

On 30-jan-2008 I got a call from HSBC and taken the Policy over Phone. They had informed me that I can take 14 days of time and than I can decide whether I can continue with that policy or not. They also Informed that If I am cancelling the policy within 14 days Only Rs. 100 will be taken as admit charge and than the balance premium amount will be made refund. After that they had sent me the policy details to my Permanent address.
Today(08-Feb-2008) I called them & told that I want to cancel the policy, they were telling that they will deduct 25% of the premium amount. And they were telling that they had not told anything like that.
If I ask HSBC people regarding this they were giving the TATA-AIG customer care no and asking me to speek.

I have taken a personal loan from HSBC in May 2007. I was informed that it is necessary to take an insurance cover, so they have charged a good amount from me for the same.
However till date I have not received any details of my insurance policy. I have called up HSBC several times and the responce I got is that "You will get a call back from the concern department". On 19/02/2008 I called up HSBC again for the same and they have advised to call TATA AIG for the same.
I have a very similar experience, as that of Mr Mukesh Kumar & others. I hold a HSBC /TATA-AIG policy, and for the last two months, they have not cancelled my subscritption, inspite of emails and written communications. I am planning to take them to consumer's court.
Exactly, the same thing happens with me,
I recd a call from TATA AIG to review this policy for 2 months on the cost of Rs.10/-, but when after 2 months, I called up for the cancellation they insist me to decrese the premium amount, even my lot of request he not cancelled my policy and conitnue it with a lesser premium, even after I am calling him for cancellation and a representative told me that he is taken the request and with in 2-3 days it will cancelled and further I am not charged any amount.
Now, I am satisfied but when I checked my Credit Card statement I am surprised that bank is charging the same amount from Oct-2007.
It is completely harrassment by TATA AIG and unnecesary charge the premium amount even I am not having any policy documents.
Please help me and write me the right person to whom I contact for the refund of my Rs.1740/-

I also got the same issue.I got an HSBC credit card and got a call from TATA AIG saying that its a promotion programme and its only 10 rupees premium for 2 months.I refused it first and after repeated calls i agreed to it.But i told them that this should be only for 2 months.but when I got the bill after 2 months, they charged me Rs 700 as premium.I made several calls and mails to HSBC and TAT AIG and they refused to cancell it.This is a cheating business between HSBC and TATA AIG.
The credit card is my personnel property and i never applied for an insurance policy.Without my signature or request, HSBC cannot charge any amount.I wont pay this amount for sure.

i am planning to log complaint to RBI
even i have the same problem and this people are not listening any thing .they are going on deducting 329 rs from my credit card.inspite of telling them and calling them on the toll free no[protected]
i have same, but you can slove by calling this no[protected]
Same thing has happened with me and after long discussion they have cancelled the policy but refundable money has not credited in my account.I am waiting for money romlast three months.

After sent mail to hsbc and tata-aig stating that this issue will be taken to RBI, my money got refunded with in 2 days.
