[Resolved]  HSBC + Tata AIG Gen. Insurance — TATA AIG Policy

I Mukesh Kumar, hold a HSBC credit card. Before four or five months HSBC customer care executive called me and refer the TATA AIG Gen. Insurance plane, than arrange a call from TATA AIG. He told me that time, sir pls. review this policy for two month. If you are not satisfied, cancel this policy at a time. In review period we have deducted 10/- rupees for each month from your credit card account. After the review period TATA AIG will call you for continue the policy or cancel it. But I didn't get any call form TATA AIG and every month they deducted around 329 + service tax/- rupees from my credit card account. When I contacted with HSBC customer care, they provide me a TATA AIG contact number and told, sir pls. contact on this number, they cancel your policy immediately. But nothing will taken care. From that number I got another toll-free number whic is out of serivce.

Exactly the same story here.
I have been tortured even a step further by getting fake calls from HSBC legal department threatening to seal my property.

There representatives making fake commitments every three months for doing zero balance in my account.

The height of shamelessness is they are asking me to renew the policy that I have never asked for.

Believe me there are lots of same cases and sufferers like u and me. Do you think we all can get together and make this blunder public. You can revert me at my email address [protected]@gmail.com.
i m having maharaksha policy and want to cancel this policy with an immediate effect. Please mail me the TATA AIG GENERAL Insurance customer care no. So that i may cancel this policy.or send me the number so that i can sms it to them to cancel the policy.

I took a insurance for Rs. 5 Lakhs on march and till now I have not the policy nor any proof from Tata AIG about this. But promply the amount is cut from my HSBC card. I want this policy cancelled or provide me the details of the policy. Or I want full refund for this. I am ready to fight this out.

Same thing happens with me, they deduct 701 rs inspite of 10 rs from my HSBC credit card. But you can cancel ur policy by calling these no [protected]/[protected]. They will give u a cancelation number.

I have spoken to one of your customer care executive in the month of April for Balance transfer and I would like to submit the points as under:-

1. Once converstion for balance transfer was over, the customer care executive spoke to me for TATA AIG PLAN and subsequently was connected to TATA AIG customer care executive for explaining the plan.

2.I was told that for two month you will be charged Rs.10/- and I go through the plan which they shall send in 15 working days. Based on my confirmation they shall charge the PREMIUM amount.

3.To my surprise, thay have debited the PREMIUM in the very first month, which I HAVE NOT AGREED FOR. This is not acceptable and hence I request you not only to ask TATA AIG to credit the PREMIUM amount of Rs. 1220/- in my SBI CARD but also to CANCEL the INSURANCE PLAN.

I have been debited for two months 2440 so far.

I hope you would understand my concern and act accordingly.

I got a call from HSBC and taken the Policy over Phone. They had informed me that I can take 14 days of time and than I can decide whether I can continue with that policy or not. They also Informed that If I am cancelling the policy within 14 days Only Rs. 100 will be taken as admit charge and than the balance premium amount will be made refund. After that they had sent me the policy details to my address.
I called them & told that I want to cancel the policy, they were telling that they will deduct 25% of the premium amount. And they were telling that they had not told anything like that.

i have done one policy with TATA AIG through HSBC card. i have done it 20 days ago. but still i haven't recieved the Policy Statement. can someone please tell me what to do in this situation.
I am in USA now, I payed a check amound of 8050 to AIG ...it was for june 14 th ...my brother told that he still didn't get the (Car insuranse)insurence cover detail...i am in USA now...can anyone help me by contacting my brother .His name is Anish ([protected])I will be back to Bangalore on 10 th Aug 2008...I have already given a pre-dated check of 8050 /- to the AIG agent...The cash taking date is 14 th of June...he told after taking the cash withing 3 working days i will recieve the insurace polacy cover letter along with the offers ...but still i didn't get those ...pls call my brother...he knows it .I will be back after 2 months.can some one contact my brother.His number is [protected]. Same thing happen to me a very bad bad bad experience with this TATA- AIG insurance & HDFC Credit Card, Nicely speaking in phone to explain all the things for hours & hours, but when we get all the terms & conditions paper, that is completely different before what they told in telephone, When we call to customer care nobody is responding properly, if any body picks up the phone, and telling it is not "concern department to make complaint", Every month they are deducting amount of 3000 from my Credit Card, i want to stop that one, But nobody is listening my vocie...It's very Pathetic doing like this ...its like a Cheating Business ...With out any signature or request, how can they do like this?????

I also have three more Maharaksha Accidental Policies and the same case with all these. For this from more than one year.

I have a problem with HSBC Credit card which superseeds all of your problems.

on 24th December 2007 HSBC have have debited Rs. 2470/- in my credit card account without my knowledge for Policy of TATA AIG GEN Policy. I came to know when I received the statement that too late. Then after I complained in customer care, nevertheless accepting their mistake, they forced me to accept that I had made request for the policy but I never asked them to make the policy through my card. After 2-3 days they called me and told me to that it will be cancalled and you will get total refund. After taht what happned i don't know.

now before two days i received a letter from HSBC stating that there is a over due amount of Rs. 302/-.

I think now i should go in consumer fourm for the same.

I am too a victim of HSBC + TATA AIG, they debited Rs. 1805 for general ins. and yet no documents and number of policy.
Now no response to phone calls and mails from TATA-AIG.

MY WHOLE STORY IS LIKE THIS :


On 5th Aug 2008 when I went to HSBC bank at Somajiguda, hyderabad for my HSBC credit card payment, customer care executive of HSBC transferred my call to TATA AIG's executive and she told me about a general insurance policy (upto Rs. 34 Lac coverage for me and my parents) and about premium she told me that for first month it will be only Rs. 10 and for second month and onwards it will be Rs.1795 and will be automatically transferred from my HSBC credit card.

Regarding terms and condition and policy number she told me that I'll be getting form etc within 15 days and after all form filling and sending formalities, I will be issued with a policy no. But after more than a month a havnt got anything except that deduction of premium for two months from my credit card balance.

She told me that if I am not interested in continuing the policy I myself have to call TATA AIG and she gave a number [protected] for that. When I called the number as I wasnt interested to continue the policy. It was VRS(voice response service) and asked such information about my policy, which I havnt as I hadnt recieved same and also customer care of HSBC told me on 8th Sep 2008 that there is no TATA-AIG's policy in my account to make payments so obviously there wasnt any chance to stop payment for any policy but on the very next day (9th sept 2008) Rs.[protected] + 10) got debit from my HSBC credit card.

same problem with me also.i got a call from Tata Aig regarding accident policy, in that they will deduct 10 rupees for 2 month, with in that i[censored]r satisfied then continue or u can cancel the policy.so automatically money is deducted in my credit card.so plz help me out.Atleast provide me Tata Aig coustmer care no.
I totally agree to the above complaints about HSBC and Tata AIG. I have suffered the same. I am looking to cancel this scheme with immediate effect. This is not a fair practice.

All these days I thought I am the only victim of TATA AIG / HSBC card general insurance policy.
Today I came across this link & I realised lot of people got cheated from TATA AIG Insurance.

My case is also very symilar to mr. Mukhesh but I was offered a group term policy with a monthly deduction or Rs. 225/-. I also got the hard copy of the policy mentioning the same information.
But in my credit card they are deducting Rs. 550/- per month. & when I contacted HSBC customer care they say that they are not accountable & I need to resolve this issue with TATA AIG. Then I spoke to TATA AIG Customer care & they were not able to locate my policy & gave me their customer support email id. I sent the scanned copies of trhe policy & the credit card statement to them & asked them to refund the excess amount & cancell the policy. As a response I got a mail from Ms.Pooja.Mukherjee. acknowledging the same & confirming about the cancellation. Even in my recent statements I find that they continue to dedut the monthly premium shamelessly.

Now after knowing that they have been cheating lot of customers like this I have decided to go to the consumer court & deal with them.
