Dear All

I have not Used the HSBC credit card Since a year and the Card Was Blocked automatically in March - 07, And Since then I have not receievd any Communication from Bank But today Suddenly I am Receiving the Credit card Statement showing 11950/- as outstanding, It is clearly mentioned that Crad is blocked Since mar-07 on Statement and still the fianancial charges had been added up sicnce then

I want a detailed Explanation

I have applied for the HSBC credit card 18 days Ago. Yesterday i got messge on mobile that
"HSBC alert: Your HSBC credit card has been approved and dispatched to your mailing address.".

But i didn't receive credit card.
My information:

Harassment Calls from HSBC Concerned STAFF

I Mr. Mahendra Sakpal would strongly bring to your immediate notice that I have been constantly harassed by your concerned staff, one of them by calling me from telephone number [protected] (HSBC) at any given point of time towards FALSE CLAIMS being made against my father.
Please note that these calls are growing in numbers a causing me & my family great amount of mental stress & nuisance of in the highest order, and this is not yet all acceptable to us under any circumstances.
I have categorically and clearly explain that my father has never ever applied / had credit card ([protected]) from you, & can justify the same at any given point of time, despite of which the above said harassments / threatening continues. There is a limit to any ones patience as we are all from higher respectable & reputed cultures & needless to say that we truly know our responsibilities and ethics.
I sincerely for once more instruct that such false and persistent calls should be immediately STOPPED, else I along with my family members shall be compelled to take action against HSBC which is uncalled for and it’s at your own cost & consequences.
I strongly intervene in this regards and sort out this issues with your concerned & relieve us of this unwanted & stressful situation.

    I had a nightmare with my HSBC Bank credit card. It was going all fine untill I recieved a Security key device from HSBC bank saying it is necessary for my security. But the trouble started when I logged on to my e-statement account . It asked for the key number which comes on the key device by pressing the button on it. It didn't worked and I couldn't see my past month purchases on this card. Since then, I contacted the Customer care many many times asking them to send me a courier mail showing my purchase transections on my card. Even on requesting these people many times, every time I got only confirmation of having the statement sent by HSBC Bank, but it never came.It's been more then a year and I really don't know how much penalty has been levied on my transections.
    I again request HSBC Bank to send me the statement showing my unpaid transection on my bank credit card and I will make the complete payment, but certainly I will not pay a single penny towards the penalty levied because of the delayed payment as this is completly lack of services on part of the HSBC Bank.

    I have Seen one Bill today after an Year which Shows a credit card balance of 11,950 which I am Shocked to see, I dont know where has this amount been charged, My card was Blocked around a year Back.

    I want A detailed explanation of This as Iam informing Indian Consumar Forum also.
    I purcahsed a Goderaj fully automatic washing machine last year from the purchasing date there was a knocking sound comes from machine. Many times i complained to the dealer but they did not solve the proble we are very upset due to this problem

    i completely agree with this comment. the Bank is not all customer centric. i've been issued the card in the month of Nov'07 and since then I've not received a single statement of account. I've written numerous complaints and given numerous calls to Customer Serivce Cell but all in vain.

    Yesterday i am calledup customer care executives, they said if you were paying partially so that u should pay intrest for total amount 4800/Rs .


    But i am already paid 3000/Rs before bill generation(Feb-12th-2008). why should i pay finance chargers for total of 4800/Rs.

    I have applied for the HSBC credit card. Before 02 months i received a call from HSBC that my request to get the credit card is sanctioned and I will get the credit card. But i have not received it yet. So i request you to look in the matter.
    I havent recived my credit card statement and its the second month now. I have send a mail before this to hsbc bank and they replied to my mail saying thet they will send a duplicate statement, But till know there is no reply or statement. What shoul i do.

    I am facing lot of problems from the credit card recovery department of HSBC.
    They are insane, stupid and do not know how to talk to a girl. I have told them that i want to settle my account in four installments, but they are forcing me to pay in one shot which i cant.
    Also, these people keep calling me continuously on my phone which is disturbing me a lot.
    I didnt knew that having a HSBC credit card will become such a pain in my life.
    I gave my friends numeber to them so that he can talk to them and settle this out on my behalf, but now they are even disturbing him a lot. What is a point of giving 100 missed calls to somebody when he is is not picking up.
    HSBC sucks really...
    Can somebody help me on this please...

      With utter dismay I would like to inform you the following, which displays the kind of services HSBC are providing.

      I am your credit card holder No. [protected] , I have even opted for two add on cards which were provided to me.

      Due to unavoidable circumstances I requested the customer services to cancell the add on cards, with a specific mention about the cancellation of ONLY ADD ON CARDS, which was confirmed by the customer services that only the add on card would be de activated and my main card will remain intact.

      In spite of repeated assurances by customer services, I was put in a worst ever embarrassing situation, which I had never faced in my life.

      On 29th Nov evening when i filled up Petrol at IOC and as usually I intended to pay my bills with my HSBC Credit Card, to my utter dismay I was informed that my card is no longer valid. At that time I had not even had any cash left over with me as I was returning from shopping.

      After verifying the same with customer services today i.e. 30th Nov, I was informed that the card will be activated only within 72 working hrs. Being a provider of services through out the world its surprising to know that the mistake committed by your customer services will take 72 long hours to rectify it.

      It is surprising to know, I was charged a late fee for not paying my due amount within the specified time (due to my tour). In this circumstances what should I expect from you for the embracement I was put in.

      I only intend to make you understand my position I was put in, but nothing else.

      Kindly arrange to solve my problem immediately and save me from further embarrassment please.

      HSBC Credit Card — HSBC service is not good

      I am from pune.I applied for HSBC credit card nearly 4 or 5 times.Still i didnt recived even a single card.I submitted proper documents while applying for cards.Their service very poor.They are trying to fool peoples by doing this kind of things.

        I am holding Gold Card from HSBC. No. is [protected]. I was following up with Collection centre executives to collect the payment , they always confirm the dates and slots to collect money but no one turned up to collect the same. and Bank charged me lot of late payment and interest charges.

        When i contacted the customer support she directed my line to her senior officer Advisor . Her name is Priti Randive . I was shocked after talking to her because of her rudeness and she herself told me that collection centre executives are not supposed to collect the payment when i asked her that then why did they committ that they will come and collect the money , her answer was that i was misguided by collection centre executives.

        I was always ready to pay for my purchases if they will waive off my other charges.

        I had a very very bad experience with the HSBC Credit card people. and the people who are front ending this organisation are really very rude and not at all supportive and cooperative with their customers.

        I HAVE TO SAY THAT MY PAYMENT DUE DATE WAS[protected], I HAD DEPOSITED THE CHEQUE OF TOTAL OUTSTANDING DUE OF Rs4024 = 00 ON[protected] AT LINKING ROAD SNATACRUZ(W) ATM COUNTER, BUT TODAY AGAIN EARLY IN THE MORNING I GET A CALL REMINDING ME FOR NON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT.

        This is with reference to the above mentioned credit card.I would like to mention that inspite of repeated calls made to your bank there is no proper response at your end.Every time a new person calls and the entire story needs to be repeated. Once again I am giving all the details below

        Stmnt period 20th July to 19th Aug’08 amount due 31595/-

        There is amt of 5325 twds tkt purchased from Jetlite on 15th Aug which was later put for refund and the airline was supposed to credit an amt of 3325/- now this particular credit was not reflecting in your stmnt for the pd 20th Aug to 19th Sept’08 though the airline had given us the intimation that the same has already been credited

        Since I got the information from Jetlite that it has already been credited I contacted your customer care and I was told to deduct this amt of 3325/- and make the payment which was done as instructed

        i.e Due amt as per stmnt pd 20th Aug to 19th sept was 33238 and pymnt was made for 29913

        I was shocked to see the stmnt for the pd 20th Sept’08 to 18th Oct’08 with a finance chgs of 1719.50 and ser tax 212.53

        The credit for the refund of Jetlite tkt came in very late i.e in stmnt dated 19th Oct to 19th Nov’08

        Net due for purchases made at my end – stmnt pd 20 Sept to 18th Oct’08 INR 26362/- (as per stmnt 28294.03 diff 1932.03 chgs)
        “ stmnt pd 19th Oct to 19th Nov’08 INR 20560/- (as per stmnt 22455.65 diff 1845.65 chgs )


        Total due as per my working is 46922/-

        It is my humble request to waive off the chgs which has been levied for no fault of mine as I am ready to pay the amt of exps incurred by me.


        Your customer service keeps calling and they are unable to solve my problem everytime I have to repeat the same history as everytime it is a new person on line.

        Kindly give me a fresh bill of the amt due of 46922/- which will be paid by me failing which I will just not make any payment as I am fed up of your customer service. I I have also spent a lot of money talking on my mobile.

        Pls give a solution so that the matter gets sorted out and the same does not prolong for too long.

        HI Sir,

        I have Filled the Form for the Gold Credit Card almost 6 months before. But havent received it till date.
        When i did not received in month so i called them and told them i havent received it yet so Customer Care People told it may take max 2 months to come to u.But it dint came. And from that months onwords the credit card statement statement started to come first time it came around 3500/- So i called them and said i havent receive the card and u guys r sending me the statements so again i got the same reply that it will come in week or so. But again history repeats and again the statement come in next month with 6200/- So i called them and said i want to close the account as i havent the card and HSBC are sending me the executive and u have to pay for 3000 and Customer Care will send me the Settle ment Letter. But same again. Nothing happned and then after two months again the Statement came with outstading amount of 8000 rupees and they are again calling me to pay the same or if i want to close the amount i again have to pay 2000.

        Now i dont want to pay any more settlement amount.

        Please advice me on this.

          TATA AIG Policy

          I Mukesh Kumar, hold a HSBC credit card. Before four or five months HSBC customer care executive called me and refer the TATA AIG Gen. Insurance plane, than arrange a call from TATA AIG. He told me that time, sir pls. review this policy for two month. If you are not satisfied, cancel this policy at a time. In review period we have deducted 10/- rupees for each month from your credit card account. After the review period TATA AIG will call...

          i want to know the status of my newly applied credit card of HSBC my reference number is[protected]

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I was a HSBC Classic-V credit holder and my card number was [protected]. I was not satisfied with the service of HSBC as they were charging wrong amount to my account as they used to do for every customer and after that I withdrew my card after settlement with HSBC Bank. They told me that after settlement they would not send me monthly statement and send me a letter for that. The settlement was done in the year 2005, till now I have not received any letter after full settlement. After that they are not sending me the statement but a few days back I came to know from a reliable source that my name is in the Civil Database and they have not deleted my name from that database. So, I am facing a lot of problems for that and it is hampering my social status.

          In the light of the above, I am requesting you to look into this matter and take necessary action to solve the same. Otherwise, I will inform this matter to all staffs of NIIT Technologies Limited working all over world and forward the same to all the friends working different IT Organizations all over the world. After that I will take necessary legal action. Previously I sent letter to "s.[protected]@hsbc.co.in" two times, but till now I have not received any response from your end. What you are doing? If you are not in a position to solve the matter then why you are sitting on that chair?

          Please treat this as most urgent.

But while giving the card to me it was told that there are no such charge and it’s a free card with no add on charges for addon card either

          I hold a credit card from HSBC bank.From last one year i waz ill and was on a complete bed rest as i was suffering from fits.
          Starting new year 2008 i recieved a letter from a recovery deptt at my permenent address that i have to pay 49000 rupees to the bank as per usage of my card with in coming seven days.
          I did not recieved any statement or any bills from the bank for the whole year and a sudden short period notice amused me.
          I talked to a reffered person of recovery department regarding the issue.
          I asked him for the principle amount, it was 36000. he said to pay the amount(40000) in one go or u can pay it in two installment dat is of 25000 each (in this case you have to pay 50000rs.)
          I am ready to pay bt i need the details and i asked him that i need the full and final settlemnt of card so if i can get any rebate, instead of giving me the suitable suggestion he hunged the phone after some time i tried again and he replied u need to pay and u have to pay in this manner only or dont pay and make urself ready to face the consequences.
          Now my parents are recieving harrament calls from the recovery department that they have taken a legal action and we`ll put you behind the bars any lot of another things.
          YOu can ask all the statements, but give a written request, by the way that's your right (RBI rulles)

          HSBC CREDIT CARD MISREPRESENTATED TO ME.

          They told me I am executive and card is lifetimee free and I will not be charged any Annual and Add on Card Fees.

          Now they have gone about compounding Annual Fees Charges and asking me to pay that. I refuse to pay that. I have paid all rightfull charges and refuse to pay all these maniplated charges.

          Its true and real they are simply increasing the limit without our knowledge and increasing the charges finance charge and membership fee line wise and demanding to make the payment harrasing people and taking money as granted

            i have hsbc credit card holder and i have very upset why i have choose hsbc bcoz i have facing lot of problem from hsbc side.
            Respected concerned person,
            I Srinivasa Rao Swarna has been using this service for the past 4yrs. i couldnt recieve the bank statements from the past 2 months.But when personally enquired the date has been already passed off and heavy burden of paying an extra amount is on me and even now i couldnt recieve the statements even through emails...!
            kindly consider my notice and help me to exdulge from this burden.!

            It is to bring to your kind notice that I filled the form for the Credit Card of your bank but it was not taken by me.             the worst card u can deal with this is big on the face of HSBC bank . You guys are horrible, no way to connect to customer care, i want some one from hsbc side to reply.

              I M Having credit card No.[protected]
              Without my confirmation HSBC added charges for TATA AIG Policy in my acount.I called several times for last 1 year.also sent mails.They said the charges will be wiped off but all in vain.Now they are adding interest each time & sending me statement.I have torn off the card & sent back it to bank on 03.10.07

                hello all folks,
                i am totally agree with the comment that HSBC ppl cheat for the credit card dealing. i am fist time user of HSBC credit card, before application of this card they told me that its free of cost for whole life, and i perticularly aked them that "if i dont use it then i wont get any charges" and when the card came they issue one general booklet which says that joining is free of cost but yearly charges are 2000 rs and moreover i havent registered for addon card and still they provided me one which bear the wrong name even (my mother's). they dont ever care for the spelling mistakes, and for addon card, yearly charge is 1000 rs. see the [censored]ing thing. when i try to call those mother [censored]ers, they are not even replying. they dont understand the value of customers. because o[censored]s, they are living. i suggest you all friends that dont apply for HSBC credit card and never go through their [censored]ing executives. they dont have proper knowledge and information.

                They put my credit card on security hold, and when i called to ask them to take the hold off...they made me answer a series of yes/no questions. They named a bunch of car makes that i never owned and named off street addresses which i never have resided at (places in chicago). a few minutes later, the results came back and i failed. i talked to the manager of fraud and security and he tells me that i have no other choice but to send 3 forms of identification to one of their offices. mind you...that i'm traveling abroad and nowhere near my billing address.                 I have not been getting CC statements to my billing adress right from the begining.There has been no response even after several calls made by me to the Customer care .I have mailed to all possible ID's available.There is no response even now.This bank is a pile of garbage and the customer care is very poor.I have decided to go for legal advice.
                HSBC is a child of a ###.! these haramis charged me RS8000 interest on a unpaid bill for RS 600. i had moved to Hong Kong to work in our company's branch and these [censored]ers sent a letter after 2 year to my house in mumbai to tell me that i have incurred interest o[censored]pto RS8000 and should pay immediately.

                i dont even remember the [censored]ing bill anymore...i have launched a complaint its been 3 months and they havent replied to me...i have also tried to contact them through thier HQ in Hong Kong but no respose~!

                  I have applied for personnel loan Dhs 250000 with HSBC Bank on 27th October 2007 thru Mr Mohammed Nazar (Sales Associate, Direct Sales Team – Abu Dhabi Electra Street Branch).

                  When I filled the loan application form that time your Mr Mohammed Nazar told me the monthly premium is 6145.83 for 48 months, processing fee Dhs 250 and no insurance fee and I have to pay totally Dhs 295000 only.

                  But when the loan amount credited in my bank account 31st October 2007, in that bank mentioned that interest rate is 10.75% and the monthly premium is 6434.10 and bank deducted Dhs 1500 for processing fee.

                  After seeing this message I totally shocked. I couldn’t sleep. I am feeling like simply cheated by HSBC. So I called and asked Mr Mohammed Nazar, he told me, “I don’t know how it happened, I spoke to my manager, don’t worry we will revert back that extra chares and bank will deduct premium amount Dhs 6145.83 only” like that. And I asked Mr Mohammed Nazar for this conformation letter. He promised me and still he is giving.

                  About this matter I send complaint to bank via internet banking. But I didn’t get any reply. I went King Faisal Street – Sharjah HSBC Branch on 3rd November 2007 (Counter No 13). They told you have touch with Mr Mohammed Nazar only. We can not do anything like that.

                  I don’t know now what to do and whom to meet?

                    offering no additional charges of their allotment. However, there were charges on those cards, like annual fee, service tax + cess. Hence, I made a request to cancel them and honestly those cards did not have activated and there ends the matter. Please arrange to take note of the omission, which require immediate incorporation for the safest delivery of mails, in future (because another person is living with the same name in this street).

                    Please refer to my earlier e-mail dated 11.11.2007 Again in your letter dated 31.8.09 recd..on 10.10.09 those added on credit cards for my wife, son and daughter, which I have already disclaimed, you have sent the renewed cards.The logic I don't understand. Again and again I resist to get the cards. Why you are forcing me to get them. I honestly request you to treat those cards as cancelled and desisty from charging anything from me for those cards now and in future. Since you are having my mobile No.please arrange to send SMS for compliance immediately.
                    My HSBC Credit card No.[protected]. During 2006, three add on cards were issued by the Bank for my family members, which I immediately returned back to the bank for cancellation since they don't need them. During 2007, annual renewal fee and administrative charges were levied on those canceled cards. On my request those charges were reversed. From then onwards every year those charges were levied and on my request those charges were reversed every year. This year also this happened:

                      I, Arindam Saha, is the Credit Card holder of your bank having Credit Card No – [protected]. At the time of application it has been told to me that there is no annual & other charges in this card but now I got the statement where annual fees has charged. I had called in Customer care to surrender the card but no response has given by them so far. So I want to surrender my card.

                      I am Totally Disagree to this, In last Year One person came to us & said its life time free, Fortunately we have not used that credit card after one and half year bill of card is approx Rs.2500/- Its total cheating.

                      I had bad experience with SETC last month. Yes I have booked the ticket in SETC for 31 Jan 2007 from Madurai to Trivandrum. I booked in 9.30 PM bus. The bus starts from Mattuthavani Bus stand Madurai. I reached the bus stand 8.45 pm with my wife and made enquire about the bus arrival by showing ticket to the enquire office. He redirects me to the first platform. I carried my lockage to the first platform I was waiting upto 10.45 pm. Mean while I was asking the both office, no one properly answered me. They said it may come or may not come. This I got from them.
                      So please make sure don't made your trip with the SETC. Worst most guys...................in the world.

                      two years back I got a credit card from HSBC and it was told that it is free card. Without my concern, it was renewed and sent a bill of service charges . I told to cancell that card and I did not use it at all. Now for each month a bill was sent that as if I have purchaed and mentioned to pay the amount.

                      This is totally wrong, with out asking any thing, HSBC sent the renewal card and sending the bill and it is continuing. Today one person called and told to pay around Rs. 3000 and settle the account.
                      With out using the credit card, and without getting my concern and renewal of credit card are totally wrong and asking to pay the 50% of the service charge and accumulated interest ???????

                      Is it a good way of cheating the people ?

                        HSBC Middle East — whimsical debits

                        I hold a visa and master gold credit card from HSBC. I recently had AED 400 each debited in my statement towards the annual fees. I am not willing to pay any annual fees as I was promised a free card without any annual fees at the time of application. It is extremely unfair on the part of HSBC to debit my account without any prior notice or
                        Intimation. I use both the cards quite extensively for all my purchases. I have been an excellent customer; always paying my dues in full and on time.

                        I have been trying to speak to the relevant personnel at the Jebel Ali Branch and the call centre in Dubai but to no avail. I have made several calls and left messages and always promised a call back but unfortunately I am yet to hear from them. Courtesy demands they at least return my calls. I am extremely disappointed by this. I don't have to pay an annual fee for the privilege o[censored]sing this card, which is one of its main selling points as far as I am concerned. I also had my current account debited on 17th September without any prior knowledge towards the payment of my visa card. This I reckon is unacceptable and highly unacceptable by HSBC as I had no intimation by way of a call / mail to the same effect. I would expect the bank/credit card department calls me before any whimsical debit or closing any of my credit cards. This is causing me unnecessary stress and harassment.

                        I'd appreciate if you can help.

                        I called 23358787 two three times but i cant get any details about my creditcard status and also i checked in ur site for the ststus but i cant find any information about that.

                        HSBC Credit Card — Raised bill instead of not using the card

                        My credit card no. is4384 ..................9680 and it was issued to me free.
                        I am a senior citizen and I have stopped using the said card since around Dec.,2005 after I had a very bad experience with the HSBC Bank regarding one debit relating to Tata AIG Health Insurance Premium.
                        This should have been taken as a clear hint of my lack of interest in the card. Instead the Bank sends me the renewed card without even bothering to take my consent, and then followed by the usual monthly statement claiming Annual Fee etc. (which is rediculous)when there are umpteen number of Banks willing to deliver Life time FREE GOLD CARD at one's door step.
                        I have addressed my concern to them endorsing a copy to the Ombudsman as well. Mental harrassment in the shape of SMSs and phone reminders for settling the amount in the said statement have already started.
                        I am now awaiting their response to decide about the next course of action.
                        I have kept all my friends and relatives informed about my experience and cautioned them to keep away from this HSBC credit card as far as possible.

                        Further I get threatening SMS and letters to pay the bill in 24 hours.

                        I got HSBC credit card when HSBC representative visited our company last year.

                        I never used this credit card; still the card bill went up to 3500/- Rs.

                        1>To cancel the credit card I cut the card into 3 pieces and dropped into HSBC ATM drop box, 2 months back.

                        2>Since then I was receiving daily SMS threatening that “please pay the outstanding amount within 24 hours”.

                        3>I called the HSBC helpdesk 5-6 times; they said that they are in process of cancellation and I will get a confirmation call in couple of days.

                        4>Further, the helpdesk did not provide me the complain number. They said that their software do not generate complaint number.

                        5>I never received the confirmation call to cancel the card.

                        6>In spite of this I received 2 monthly statements from HSBC stating the outstanding bill amount more than 3500/-

                        HSBC Powervantage Account — Discrepency with transaction to ICICI account

                        I have an aacount in HSBC.
                        I dropped a cheque of 10000/- to my friend's ICICI account three month before.
                        Now money is deducted from my HSBC account but did not credited to my friend's account. I raised a complain in HSBC but
                        they are not doing anything. I dont have any contact to check for
                        the ICICI.

                        What should i do? Shall i raise a complain in Consumer forum?
                        I am not sure whteher my friend is telling truth or lie?

                        I want to know the status of my newly applied credit card. My ref num is[protected].I have already recieved 2 to 3 confirmation calls about 25 days ago but not recieved the card yet.                         I have submitted application for HSBC GOLD CREDIT CARD. I submitted all necessary documents. But the sales staff is not sensible enough to read documents carefully. They called me 20 times to know my landline number.I asked them i alreayd told several times. I asked them How long you will keep doing verfication?                         HSBC Credit Card — Undue charges,Insurance Policies & annual fees

                        I Supriya Gadre having HSBC credit card no [protected],
                        is charged for annual credit card fees plus Tata AIG insurance.
                        I have no interest in this kind of insurance which are forced on me without any of my written consent.
                        The total unpaid amount on my credit card is around 14000 & I have spent only around 2500/3000 Rs using this card, The rest amount is annual fees & insurance installment.
                        I have requested several times to waive of annual fees & insurance installments but all in vain.
                        I am fed of doing this stuff again & again, I have just a single request. Please waive of these unwanted charges & send me a statement with the actual amount due for the payment.
                        I will pay the whole amount at the earliest.

                        I just want to get rid of this credit card as I fear that the same things may happen again & again. I can not tolerate this any more.I have heard lot of good things about service of HSBC group but now I am sure that they all were roumers.

                        HSBC / Orchard Bank Credit Card — I was cheated by HSBC

                        I applied for hsbc secure credit card, for which i had to deposit $200.00. then i closed cause of their fee on 02/11/2008. they promised me that i should receive that payment in 7 to 14 days. which i havn't by 02/29/2008, so i called them again and they said i should receive it by 03/05/2008. when i havn't received this deposit by 03/09/2008 i called them again. and this time their response was different. they say that it takes 30 to 60 days. i know that if i call them again after 60 days same thing happens. because they are good at cheating customers. please someone take action against this company.

                        Such a bad experience I had from HSBC about one year ago. One of their Direct Selling Agent [DSA] approached and lured me to apply for a credit card. Though I hesitated telling that I don't want any items on credit but only on cash payment, he canvassed me to apply for the same. He collected from me copies of my PAN, address proof, income proof, photo etc. After one month I got a letter from HSBC that my application was considered and rejected. It was an insult to me. I had sent a mail to them enquiring the reasons and requesting to return me the copies of my personal documents as they had not issued me the credit card. They replied me with a copy of the very same letter that they had already issued to me without returning the copies of the documents. I came to understand that HSBC are doing this type of mischief for conducting survey at the cost of the valuable time of the customers. My advice is that you all Please avoid any services from HSBC.

                        HSBC Bank / Over Draft Account — Account renewal without consent

                        I am having an account with HSBC where in my account no is[protected], it was activated for one year for Jan07-jan 08. Now the same is automatically renewed and some charges for renewual has been levied along with late payment charges. I do not wish to continue for the second year but same has not been asked before hand. The amount now goes to 900/- approx, although i am not using the card/account from last 7-8 months.                         Iam working in Govt. Sector. At the time registration the representative of HSBC told me that the Annual fee for entire tenure is NIL. I agreed to take the card on this condition only. The card was expired by December 2007. I had no dues regarding the payment. Even then the bank has sent me credit card statement in March 2008 stating to pay about Rs. 4000. The break up for the amount was not mentioned. I made a ring to customer care, but therre is no use. Later in this April agin statement was sent to me with late fee, service tax on the late fee etc etc. So far I did not paid the money.

                          HSBC Credit card DSA have sold a Credit Card telling me its a lifetime free card in 2006. In 2007 November I suddenly receive a SMS from HSBC requesting me to pay a Minimum amount. Till then I have never used the card for any transaction. I called the customer service to enquire about the matter. The Customer service representative replied back that it was a charge for renewing the card. I told her that my card was a lifetime free card. Then that customer service person informs me its not a lifetime free card. She also informs me that the charge was levied in April 2007. So i asked why was i not informed at that point of time. They said that they must have communicated me but I may not have received. So i asked them to cancell my card. Now they are taking time to cancell the card.

                            Dear Sir,

                            I am having 2 Gold Credit Cards of HSBC Bank, out of this 1 Card is paid by ECS payment from my ICICI Bank A/c, other is paid immediately on receipt of Statement from HSBC. Their Statement
                            for July-07 was received late at my home address & I had received a call from Call Centre to make payment of Rs.31,500.00
                            on sunday dtd 5.8.07. I had sent the Cheque for Rs.31,500.00 with my staff & deposited in their collection counter at Kandivali on M.G. Road. When after receiving the Statement by post I was shocked to know that Debit on my Account was only 23,280.00 & They had given me a wrong figure to me. I thought since I use this card regularly I will get credit in next statement, surprisingly they have charged klate payment fees of Rs.350.00 plus finance charges of Rs.1,381.00. When I had sent them a mail, they had replied saying that< finance charges can't be waived off but late payment fees are waived off.

                            In my 2 mails I have asjed them that why your call cntre representative have given me a wrong figure by increasing Rs. 8,220.00 but they have not reffered any thing about the same complain of mine & have not revesed the finance charges as yet.
                            Even they have not clarified that at what rate they have charged me finance charges, normally they chare @ 2.95% p.m. which amounts to Rs.687.00 whereas they had charged me Rs.1,381.00 plus 12.36% service tax.

                            I'm attaching copies my 2 mails sent to them alongwith their 2 mails I have received for your refrenc & request you to look into .

If you see the earlier records, dues pertaining to both cards have not been delayed any time. Kindly note that payment delay was due to non-receipt of statement which has not been received till date & neither due to not having credit balance nor due to any other reason. In this case, you should have sent your statement by courier. Also you have not mentioned anything regarding giving false figure of outstanding as approx. Rs.31,500.00 by your responsible representative Miss Kajal or Kinjal to me on my cell on Sunday dtd 5.8.07 & not the exact amount due as per statement which was 23,280.00 only which I came to know when the next month statement came in my hand. As per figure given to me on my cell I had made arrangement to
                            deposit the cheque for Rs.31,500.00 in your drop box at Kandivali, West on the same day i.e. on 5.8.07. You never count interset on excess amount paid by me instead of paying Rs.23,280.00, I have paid Rs.31,500.00 as told to me by your representative over my cell.

                            In case, if you don't care for good customers & you don't need me to use my both Credit Cards & my both sons cards, please inform me where should I send back all credit cards to avoid further inconvenience to you.

                            Dear Sir,
                            I have booked fridge, TV and DVD in Next Showroom, kollathur, chennai on 12 January, 2008 by pongal offer. I have not got the products until 03 february, 2008. Finally i cancelled the order on 03 february, 2008. Now i am getting through some other dealer by extra money to them. Next show room has delayed to supply me in right time and i am in loss of rupees approx 3000 and also missed the pongal offer( discount offer).

                            In this matter can you kindly look in to this.

                                I understand you are Division Incharge of HSBC Credit Cards in Sharjah. Also That Mr. Zaid & Mr. Rawad/Raed are in your Team of Credit cards.

                                I opened My account thru Mr. Ziad. After the Signatures were taken the whole dissappearance & ignoring act started.

                                I have been facing basic feedback or response difficulties from both of them regarding My account & Creditr cards such as:
                                • I have been chasing them for my account number for days together
                                • My billing cycle, Due date info
                                • Transfers
                                • Some Cards not received
                                • Some Pin codes received but corresponding cards not received
                                • Am unaware how to proceed, pay, clear dues etc….
                                • Complains are ignored totally

                                All This is Basic info & Feedback which I shud get as an account holder when I open my account or apply a credit card.

                                Rather than receiving basic information from your Team Members from their side, I Have been frantically chasing them & all I get to hear is excuses such as:
                                • Am in a meeting
                                • Am Busy
                                • Will call u in 15 mins which never end
                                • Suddenly calls are not responded & totally ignored
                                • Hear “ Stay in your office, will give you a visit today” & then no calls to followup if they cant make it.
                                • Sometimes, “I don’t answer calls after 5pm” (ok i[censored] hv a working hour & non working hour segregatn, but when u don’t answer back, respond, reply calls in working hours then whats the idea about pre & post 5pm)
                                • Even sms & voice messages on voice mails remain unanswered or ignored
                                • Empty talks

                                What sense does it make for me to get Chase your guys several times day & for days together to get my basic info regarding account & credit card? Does it take 45 days????? Who will be responsible for the resulting delays, penalties, loss??? Surely it shud be you guys who are responsible!


                                If there is any problem, they shud be clear & revert.
                                This is highly unprofessional make shift fly by night workshop kind of response or escapism or false promises.
                                I know, HSBC has too many clients, but with this irresponsible way your team exhibits, HSBC client base will erode, erode slowly but surely bcs word of mouth talk based on such pedestrian service will affect existing & future clientle and Client will look for other options with better basic service
                                I hope they (&your sales team) value Clients time & understand the impact of empty assurances or convenient escapism.

                                I don’t intend to complain against them as I understand the pressure faced in Dubai & the stress & realise what targets mean.
                                I wish that they are just explained the value of response & assurances so that they can be effective in their approach to old clients who have been roughed up in ways similar to mine or in their own ways & so that your future clients also appreciate the Brand HSBC which your team carries with it in terms of service.

                                Yes, but I seriously wud look for some basic response & feedback which is a must for every account holder & credit card holder. Kindly do drill some sense of Basic responsibility about Clients time & Basic feedback essentialness & necessity once Any account is opened to your sales team.

                                I hope to have some response from you & see the effective walk the tal kor lets see whether your team members have picked up all these traits from you!!!

                                  Hello,
                                  I have been constantly getting SMS from HSBC stating "HSBC Pre-Statement atert: Outstanding on your card ****..** on <date> is <amount>. Pay full or min amount..by<date>".And the fact is that I never acquired nor applied for any HSBC card (thank God!!!) .Earlier I used to ignore the messages and delete them..but now the frequeny of phone calls from their executives "asking for some Naina Matta and telling her to make payment" has increased so much that I literally feel harassed.
                                  I have asked each executive so many times to update their database and verify the customer detail but of NO USE. They don't pay heed to it.
                                  I tried to call HSBC people but their phone-line is always busy and it wastes my time a lot.Please do something about it/ guide me what should I do.

                                    This is Murugesan, holding a savings cum loan account in HSBC for the past 4 years. I have been approaching your branch (Adyar HSBC) for the past 1.5 months (since 23-Aug-07) for reducing the tenure of my housing loan. I have submitted the required documents by end of August month itself except the undated cheques. ( I was told that the cheques can be submitted later at the time of siging the FAL Copy).

                                    Today it is 12th Sep. No action has been taken in this regard. For current month, I have deposited the revised EMI (assuming the EMI would be revised from this month onwards) . Please let me know the further formalities to be done for this.

                                      This is regarding my recent conversation with HSBC's telecaller - Pooja, who called me to pay up my pending installment for September 2006. This loan will be finished by August 2010.

                                      Earlier I had a talk with one of the CCE regarding this & she told me including this pending installment this loan will be finished by august 2010. The payment has already been adjusted with the end of loan. I have no problem answering any queries from HSBC's side, but i am really feeling sad about the way the Lady interacted with me.

                                      She suddenly went out of the courtesy and said "end kisne deka hai? mughe installment ajj hi chaiye." I insisted her to speak with in the civilized limits but she kept of speaking like this for the entire conversation her words were, "You don't know anything. Appka is month ka cheque bhi bonce ho gya." I asked her abt the details of the bounced cheque, she said, " app Sachin Arora hi bol rahe hain na. hold for a while. main advocate se baat karvati hoon." and then she hanged the phone-up.

                                      For your information, a person from HSBC's agegency named Horizon Credit MGT. Services collected a post dated cheque(Cheque Date-8th Oct. 2007) on 5th oct. 2007
                                      How can HSBC's telecaller can say on 6th oct. cheque has been bounced when its date is 8th of oct? how can it be possible?

                                      Till now, none of my cheque has been bounced, so how can someone just try a fluke to threaten me about my payments. I respected her for she was a lady, otheriwise I could have been harsh on her as well. Can somebody tell,"Is it what they call world's local bank"?

                                      HSBC is a very fraustating, i am victim also
                                      Dear Concern, I am having hsbc account since last 10 years, but my experience with the bank's service is very bad, the customer care will never pick up the call even in emergency also. Without any information they used to debit the account etc. Today I have got the sms that Rs.1654.50 has been debited from my account, where as I have not given any cheque to anybody, then please let me know the transaction details. Even there is no outstanding in my credit card also which is again a useless card for me and I have not given any direct debit authorization.So what is that transaction and in this regard I had tried to call to the Customer Care atleast 30 times, but nobody has attended the call. Please arrange an urgent call back for me, otherwise I will knock the RBI as well as Consumer Fourm.
