[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Cheque

I have applied for OF withdraw at PF Office Gurgaon, They have sent to cheques one is for EPF and another
for PF to My Account number, ICICI Bank Manesar Branch. But i have received only one transaction in my
account . Means only one cheque has been credited .

I have done lots of followup with PF office and Bank. Finaly i have seen Bank Statement at PF office where
both the cheques has been debited from their account .

But the ICICI Bank is still saying that they have not received perticular cheque. even Both the cheques have been sent through same envelop . and have beed debited from PF Accounts.

I am unable to understand How it happened.

am an A/c holder with you'r bank, on 1st of December a fraud transaction has taken place within my A/c.
I have a salary A/c with ICICI bank which was opened by the organization where im working.I was in need of money, so I had applied for a personal loan online through ICICI website.
Then i got a revert from icici cust care that they cannot offer me a personal loan.
So, i contacted a loan agent, who use to come regularly out side our office campus. So, i told him that im in need of personal loan above or nearby Rupees 1, 00, 000 (one lakh). He told me that he will submit my loan application with all the possible Banks and he will let me know as soon as he get revert from any one of them.
So, in regards to that he asked me to submit few documents .i.e:-

1) salary slip (last 3 months)
2) pan card (photostat)
3)Address proof
4)Bank statement for last 4months
5) Two Photographs.

I submitted all these documents and after few days he told me that my file has been approved by HDFC bank and the amount is same and the intrest % will be 18%. And i agreed with that. Howevr he said for that he need a Cheque from my side for FIFTY RUPEES, which i gave him. (cheque # 141806).

On 1st of december my salary was credited for near by SEVENTEEN THOUSAND RUPEES. and in the evening i recieved a mesage from ICICI bank on my mobile tht :-
ur Ac xxxxxx528919 is debited INR15, 000.00 on 01 Dec. Info: CASH PAID : SELF.

I called up your ICICI callcenter #[protected] / [protected] and i conformed about the same and the agent told me that 15, 000 rs has been taken out of the A/c with the help of self cheque. and when i conformed the cheue number it was the same which i issued for rs 50 (FIFTY).

Then i took the branch addres from where the amt was withdrawn and the addres is mentioned below:-

I went to that branch to see the cheque, i informed the same thing to the person concerned and from there i got a photo-copy of the same Cheque.

It can be clearly Seen on the cheque tht someone has scrached on the cheque and has change the amount from fifty Rupees to Fifteen Thousand.
Howevr the cashier was not able to recognize that. and if tht cheque has been scrached with anything and as i sd it is clearly visible, So its the cashiers responsibility for ask for the signature for the conserned person or should have given a call as the amout is so big.

when i told the same thing to the Branch Manager "PIYUSH RANJAN" he as not at all ready to accept his staffs mistake. Rather he told me to mail him the reciept for the acknowledgement for the documents which i had submitted to that loan agent my my one of the ID proof. and afret that he will send all the relavent information to the investigation team and will also file an FIR with the nearest police station.

I am not concerned or Bothered about any of the procedure you follow, all i need is my money back.

Either Ineed a quick responce from your end or i am going to file a case against ICICI bank in CONSUMER COURT for this as I am being MENTALLY HARRASED.
And i am sure that i will not be penalised for this as this not my mistake, this is the mistake made by the bank staff, (CASHIER) who accepted the cheque.
ICICI Bank, Saibaba Nagar handed to a fraud who intercepted a cheque sent by post addressed to Goa and made payable to an association a sum of money which was under £50K without asking for any identification. ICICI have been unwilling to take responsibility for their action on the basis that sums under £50K and without the two diagonal lines across the corner of the cheque to indicate payee only. My arguments that I have had to provide identification to withdraw my own money, for a mobile phone connection, etc, etc were declined. I do not understand how Reserve Bank can be so complacent about sums under £50k which can be a great sum of money to a customer whilst this may not be for a bank, so the bank thinks! If this is the case, why is ICICI bank reluctant to compensate me with this sum of money? Reserve bank needs to look into their policies and banks need to take full responsibility especially when the video clip showed that the bank clerk had taken quite some time to look at the cheque and had some doubts but made no attempt to request for identification.

I put in a request for an FIR and have not heard anything. Its been over a year. BE CAREFUL CUSTOMERS USING ICICI.
