India Today Book Club — India Today Book Club Offer

I had applied for India today book club offer on based on an e-mail from IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation). Now, I have received an SMS from book club stating that I have won a prize and need to log on at www.bookstoday.in/trendz/Wing Commander Kamal Deep and I was also sent a voucher number for logging on.
I have been trying to log on the web site to claim the so called prize, but always get a message stating "You have made an incorrect entry. Kindly recheck and enter again ".

India Today Book Club — Irresponsible company; born to cheat

I have never seen such a irresponsible company; just there to take money and cheat people. I have ordered for books (Order is : MITBC-WEB[protected] but till now no reply. I wonder are there anyone in the company or all dead. If not its better to hang and die rather than cheating people like this.
Even after providing all the required details as many times it has been asked for to prove that my money has been in fact deducted twice I am still waiting for that twice-deducted money to be refunded back.

I also gave them an option to give me another pair of Adidas shoes, size 10 so that they don't have to refund me the money back (which seems very painful for them!) but that option also has not been taken into consideration.

It is almost 8 months I am waiting for the offers and for more than 4 months they are holding my money back with no intention of refunding it in any way.

So who is going to pay for this hell lot of harassment and wastage of time, energy and money?

India Today Book Club — COMPLAINT ON IMPROPER TRADING

This is Manoj Bhatia. I received an offer over the telephone from Living Media India Limited, India Today Book Club on 09 Jan 09. Under the offer on purchase of Agatha Christie DVD set for worth Rs 2598/- I was offered following complimentry gifts along with delievery of the item: -

(a) Bannaton watch worth Rs 3500
(b) Air vouchers worth Rs 7000
(c) Holiday Package woth Rs 5000

I had booked the item and booking no. given to me was [protected]. Payment was authorised through my credit card.

I have received the DVDs alongwith the first complimentry, i.e., watch only but other items were not found. On enquiry over the customer care number[protected] I was told that I have to log on to your site with unique no to claim the items. I attempted so but logging could not be accepted by the system.

I sent number of emails but no response has been obtained till day. I submit that complete package as per package offered has not been sent. Also no pre-condition of subsequent caliming of offered package was made clear at the time of booking. Instead I was again and again informed that I would receive the entire package in one go. Hence, to me it as good as unfair trade practices.

Kindly look into the matter and intiate necessary action as deemed fit keeping me informed at the earliest.

India Today Book Club — order not received/booked on 18/08/2008

Dear Sir,

I would like to inform you that I have given an order from INDAI TODAY BOOK CLUB on 18/08/2008 (, Order no: -0GA[protected]/Membership no. ITBC[protected] through the internet and I make the payment through the credit card. The order include free giftt of Rs5000/- holiday voucher and adidas bootle. However till date I have not recieved my order from them. I have send lots of mail to them but there is no positive response from them.Hence I am requesting you to kindly lodge the complaint against them and please provide the necessary compensation as I suffered a lot due to this problem.

This is Sushanta Roy, and I am hereby glad to let you know that recently I have won the
prize gift from indiatoday book club gift package along with the gift holiday package I would be getting the pair of shoe of Reebok, I didn't get that. I have crosschecked with call centre of india today book club and the executive said that within 15 days I will be recieveing so.But Till today i didn't get any suitable reply from there side.

kindly help me regarding this matter.

India Today Book Club — Duplicate Charge no refund

I had placed an order online for a Swatch watch and paid through my credit card Rs. 3199/- to Living Media on Dec 27, 08. I received a phone call on Dec 31, 08 stating that the previous transaction did not go through and was asked to process the same again this time over the VRU. As a result I got charged twice and received the order twice. I called up for assistance and was advised to send a scan copy of my statement and the extra watches back which were done at my end and now it's been almost a month since that was done and have still yet to receive my refund back.

I was told by the customer service (Whom let me add are the most uninformed people I have come across in my life) that the refund would reflect on my card statement by Feb 6, 09 and I was assured that I would also receive a confirmation email about the same. Well, guess what none of it has happened so far. I have never come across such an appalling and unprofessional service in my life.

India Today Book Club — no delivery of free gifts

it has been more than 4 months since i ordered 4 books to india today book club(itbc).altough the books have been delivered but the free gifts i.e. adidas bag and shoes have not been delivered.i have called itbc helpline several times but no effective response came from itbc.the cheque for the shoes have been cleared by itbc.

India Today Book Club — Cheated me

India Today Book Club is in my view a fraud book club which is expert in cheating people by offering customers some fabolous offers which the customers never get.

I have been cheated by the India Today Book Club as they told me that if i accept a parcel containing 16 pack CD of SAAZ worth Rs.2249.00 then they will give me some fabolous gifts and offers like free Reebok Shoes, Free Air Tickets, Free Holiday voucher, Free Gift Coupons...

I have received the parcel and its already 5 months i have got any of the above gifts or Shoes. I have written as well called to the customer support of Indian Today Book Club. Every time i call them they ask me my shoe size and tell me that the shoe will be delivered within 15 days. Its already 5 months i haven't got my shoe. Each time i mail them they reply me after ! month by providing me a website and by writing that from this website i can claim my gifts. But the website never opens.

So my dear friend never deal with the India Today Book Club as they have eaten my money and will eat all yours.
I orderd 4 books on 30th January, 2009. I received the books today. As instructed, I tried to log in to www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm to calim my free gifts and also tried to lgin with the WEB ID. But the site is not opening and when the site opens I am not able to lgin with the Member No. and WED ID.

If I would have been aware before about such complaints, I would not have ordered, or not accept the parcel today. Now I have a doubt whether I will be able to get the gifts as promised by India Today. At this moment, I only can pray for every thing to be regular.
