India Today/ Book Club Offer — Online Payment - Deducted twice

Recently I accepted a holiday pacckage (order # 0GA[protected] offer from bookclub-Indiatoday, I made the payment by credit card, during the payment first time they said they did not got approvel from the bank, so I have done twice. Later on I verified my credit card statement, the ammount got deducted twice. I called the customer care[protected], no use there is no proper response from them. Still I did not got my money back.

I really surprised this type of service/ response from company like India Today.

I have received a set of 7 DVD of Agatha christie. But i can't received holiday pakej air booking.
So pleace call me.

India Today Book Club — Non compliance against advance payment

In response to India Today book Club Reebok offer on responding to the advertised toll free number was asked to submit draft along with handling charges. Amount of Rs. 3199/- was sent by courier on 9/02 and I was assured delivery within a week. On rechecking now they claim that the delivery will be made in 28 days minimum period. Why did they advertise if they have no stocks. Not only this, they have advertised again on the 13th with the same offer. Why are they taking us for a ride? If you dont have goods why advertise???
I would like to obtain a refund as the search site shows that they are habitual defaulters. Why is no action being taken against them?

India Today Book Club — Fake Priveledge Vouchers for buying watches.

I got a mail from [protected]@irctc.co.in which said that my mail id i.e [protected]@yahoo.com has been selected for privilege voucher worth Rs. 3000/-, which I can use to buy swatch watches worth Rs 4950/. Hence, I made a payment of Rs 2150/- from my credit card to buy the watches. But after making the payment I did not get any order Id or reference Id for the order placed by me. I tried calling to the customer care number[protected] and [protected] but nobody picked the phone. I also mailed to '[protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com' but haven't received any reply from them. I think this is a fake offer. Would request you all to please stay away from such emails in future.

India Today Book Club — Same Books SENT TWICE AND CHARGED

India Today Book Club - sent me bookbuddy package without ordering by VPP and my parents paid for it thinking it I have ordered them. Next month they sent the same books again by VPP and took money.

How can they send books when I havent placed any order ?

I totally agree with you, in your case atleast they had agreed to return the amount, but mine they never responded at all. I had a very bad experience buying India today promotional offer through SBI card. They have cheated me by not giving the books nor refunding the money. As a protest I stopped reading India today and using SBI card.

i ordered CD'S dated 20-Dec-08 with which a free holiday package and travel ticket was ensured to me. made been thro IVR via credit card mode, for that but i did not get the nothing form ITBC and now i m not getting any response from the co.

India Today Book Club — Keeps giving unwanted Blank calls. No one answers the calls also.

Hi,
I got a mail saying i had won an offer of 3000/- off for a swatch watch. They asked me to provide my details to activate the offer. Once i completed this they never gave me the option to select the watch or register.

Now i am just getting blank calls from the number [protected]. I doubt this might be a scam of collecting numbers and sell the phone list to others. Also the blank calls are really irritating as i have recd nearly 10 blank calls in 4 hours.

My Unique Number is 99153805A[protected] its not opening. We have talked to the concerned person on February 23, 2009. They said with in 24 hours line will be activated. Even after 48 hours line was not activated.

Please do the needfull urgently.

India Today Book Club — wrong delivery of my order

I ordered the Reebok fitness kit from India Today Book Club. I had made the payment for Reebok shoes size 8 and track suit size medium, but instead the delivery which was made to me had the reebok shoes with size 6 and track suit size small. I tried to call the company to register the complaint but my calls were never attended to. My order no is INTERNET/0GA[protected] and my order ID generated after I made the payment was MITBC-WEB[protected].
In this regard I expect the delivery of the product with the size I had asked for asap.

I have received a mail from your side for Reebok Fitness Kit and I tried to order online Web and while doing the payment I got "Server Error" and later I called on 40502424 and placed a order and paid through Credit Card on 16/01/2009 for Rs: 3198.00 I waited for almost 25 days and later I called up and I been told that my ordered is not been processed and now it will be done. Later I been given a order No: M-COMMERCE/0GA[protected] on 14/02/2009 and later on dated 21/02/2009 the docket no : [protected] and when I checked in Blue Dart Courier site it showing me as " NUMBER NOT FOUND".

Till date I have not received my ordered materials and everytime called on above number & mail give us the same reply.

If I am not getting the materials in 01 weeks time I will be going to Consumer Court and Publishing in news channels also.
