I was just browsing the portal and saw the complaints regarding India Today Book Club. it was same with me. I have lodged umpteenth complaints [regarding not getting the promised gifts of books against my subscription Id no ITE1785027] through email but all in vain for almost 8/9 months of my subscription. At last I wrote a letter to Mr Arun Purie, Managing Edit, India Today that on the pretext, i feel like being dupes by the magazine and that I am trashing INDIA TODAY from my readings. Then only within a fortnight i got promised books [that too old and not of my choice] ... which I sold later to the 'raddiwala'.
And I really meant that i am trashing INDIA TODAY from my readings, that I have not renewed my subscription nor I would purchase it from the book stall any more in my life.
They think they are mighty print media and consider themselves invincible in Indian democracy. I hate 'India Today' of their arrogant and fraudulent attitude towards their subscribers.

And I really meant that i am trashing INDIA TODAY from my readings, that I have not renewed my subscription nor I would purchase it from the book stall any more in my life.
They think they are mighty print media and consider themselves invincible in Indian democracy. I hate 'India Today' of their arrogant and fraudulent attitude towards their subscribers.

You are right that they are shameless and without any remorse.

YES, WE ALL CAN COME CLOSE TO FILE A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT OF THEIR FRAUD TOGETHER. Let us show them that they are not invincible in Indian Democracy.

it is almost 6 months that i am supposed to get a free gift of tupperware lunch box which ws promised to me when I bought a pack 4 music Cd and a pair of addidas shoes for Rs 748.
They have deducted my money twice but I am yet to get my free lunch box, addidas shoe and refund of Rs 748.

I PLACED AN ORDER WITH INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB (ORDER NO. MITBC-WEB[protected] ON OCTOBER 22, 2008. THE PAYMENT (RS. 2598/-) WAS MADE BY ME (THROUGH CREDIT CARD) AT THE TIME OF PLACING THIS ORDER ITSELF.

THE SAME DAY, I RECEIVED THE PAYMENT CONFIRMATION FROM INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB THROUGH AN EMAIL FROM [protected]@offers.indiatodaybookclub.com.

ITS BEEN MORE THAN 35 DAYS NOW AND DESPITE MY REGULAR FOLLOW UP (WRITTEN AS WELL AS ORAL), I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE GOODS. THREE DAYS BACK, TO MY UTMOST SURPRISE, I WAS INFORMED BY ONE OF THEIR CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES OVER PHONE THAT THE GOODS ORDERED BY ME ARE UNAVAILABLE AND I MAY SEND AN EMAIL AT [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com REQUESTING FOR REFUND. WHEN I ASKED THEM TO REFUND MY MONEY, I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD TAKE THEM 45 DAYS TO REFUND.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS??? ARE THE CUSTOMERS TREATED AS FOOLS IN INDIA??? SHOULD WE START DISBELIEVING GIANTS LIKE INDIA TODAY??? I AM SERIOUSLY UNHAPPY WITH THIS DEAL OF MINE AND REQUEST EVERYBODY TO BE AWARE OF SUCH TRAPS!!!

I WILL DEFINITELY TRY MY LEVEL BEST TO TEACH THEM A LESSON AND WON'T BE AFRAID OF TAKING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THIS COMPANY AS WELL.
