[Resolved]  Indian Railways — INDIAN RAILWAYS - MISLEADING PASSENGERS

Dear Sir,

Ihad to travel from Delhi to Nagpur with my mother. and had booked my ticketsthrough irctc.co.in on 20. 04. 09 to travel on 15.05.09. 2430 Bangalore Rajdhani. I had first booked two first class a/c tickets. since it was waitlisted and my travel was very important, i had 2nd A/c as well( even that was on waiting). hoping either one set of the ticket would surely would get confirmed on the date of the travel. On 15 . may. 09, both the set of the tickets were showing waitlist. Though it the site it is mentioned that the reservation chart will be ready 6 to 4 hrs before the derparture, but there was no status update.. My train was to leave at 8. 40. I checked at 6.30 then at 7.00. I went to the station at 7. 40. The reservation manager and Ticket checker ( NZM station) both informed since I have a wait listed ticket and booked through online, my ticket was been cancelled automatically and I will get the refund in my account in afew days time. Disappointed i made alternative arrangements to reach my detination. Next day evening when I checked with IRCTC for my refund status, am told that my tickets were confirmed.. My first A.c was confirmed and 2nd A/c I had one confirmed seat and one waiting...

I was cheated by Indian Railways, so that they get to sell my ticket for higher price to some other passengers. The reservation manager and the TT deliberately gave me wrong information. Though the charts were suppose to be prepared 2 hrs before the departure, the charts were not prepared even 2 hrs before departure. I was cheated. My PNR no is[protected] and for the other ticket [protected].

The railway chart should be prepared 6 to 4 hrs instead of the last minute. Reservation Officer holds such as important position should not misuse and mislead others.

I should not be penalise for no fault of mine and should be given full refund.

Chart not prepared even before an hour of train departure – so experience hell lot of problems

I encountered almost same problem.
I booked e-tickets (3 berths, for me & parents) in 7032/ Mumbai Express, date of journey 26 Dec 09. PNR –[protected], from Hyderabad to Solapur. Train scheduled departure was 20:40.

That day I was checking status through all means till 7:45 PM but my status was WL/17, WL/18, WL/19. Now its only 1 hour for departure so I cancelled my journey by that train.
Next day I expected that those tickets where already cancelled & I will get my amount refund (because by rule wait listed e-tickets automatically get cancelled & you can board the train).

But what a surprise, ticket was not cancelled & when I checked PNR status, 2 berths were confirmed & one was wait listed.
And now when I trying to cancel it message is prompted that “chart is prepared & ticket can not be cancelled”

So now I lost ticket amount, cancelled my journey, arranged travel by other means at high cost and apart from that big mental & physical torturer. We can’t take any decision even before an hour of our train departure.

At least, I should get full ticket amount refund.
