[Resolved]  Irctc — Unable to book Tatkal tickets

I totally agree.This is corruption seen by mass openly. What we can do?Few options are, 1) get help of media. Where ever you get chance of exposing this menace, speak openly.This may pressurize railways and Railway department will think about as their repo is getting washed.2) Take help of RTI and consumer court. RTI is better as there is no need of going court and govt. bound to reply and take definitive action.

Don't crib about problem.Think about resolving it.

i experienced the same problem --Unable to book tatkal ticket through IRCTC, page cannot open, service unavailable.

The IRCTC quick book facility is wrongly programmed as well as checking of 8AM time should be your server's current time or other standard time server time. Here it checks time from last log in cookies either from IRCTC server or customer's PC.

Therefore, If some one is loged in before 8AM then he/she will face the problem of message "TATKAL TICKETS CAN ONLY BE BOOKED AFTER 8AM" every time even after 8AM.

Please rectify this problem so that people who is in need can book his/her ticket by loging in before 8 AM and then filling just before 1 or 2 minutes his/her details in quick book form and wait for 8AM and then click quick book button and make a payment online.

Because at 8AM I can not observe what happen either IRCTC block customers IPs except Agent's or IRCTC server overloaded.

If it is being blocked then what is mean by online facility of booking at IRCTC or if IRCTC server is overloaded then please improve your server speed to keep your quality services strong and cutomers satisfied.

I also faced the same problem. They should allow the public to book the tickets using this facilities.

well i have agent login,
but storyis the same thta we are also unable to Log a ticket, even we have to bear the loss, when tatkal tkt is booked on WL

Same issue, it kept giving me message that you can book after 8.00AM, though it was well past 8.00AM, tried to relogin but could never do it because of slow irctc site and by the time I could login all of 216 tatkal quota seats were gone (in less than 10 minutes).
There is a need to take strong action against IRCTC and people who are mending the ways to favor few.

sir, we are not able to book tatkal tickets because the server does not work at that particular time.
in second sleeper classes vendors and beggers menace.It seems all policemen who are on duty buy bribe

IRCTC sucks at 8AM everyday.
There was a time when we did not had Internet reservation system and there is a time when we have this option but still we cannot use this feature.

This is a big scam and nothing will happen. It was recently shown on AAJ TAK but to the surprise nothing has been done yet. This show how our Govt people do scams openly.

Its waste of your valuable time trying to book between 8AM to 9 AM. If there is a provision where we can file a case regarding this website then it wud be wonderful else it's better they should mention that the tatkal scheme is only for agents. We people are always fooled and taken for granted.

They should take sever action against this IRCTC, enough is enough.

ya its really true whenever i have tryied at 8 am but i found the site was very busy and some time i have never able to log in

IRCTC website it sucks specially while booking tatkal tickets.Like others me too i faced lot of problems in booking tatkal tickets for kokan kanya train.Kokan kanya train is the only one convenient train which leaves from vt for kokan side specially for Goa daily at 11.05pm having total 196 tatakal seats.But like other trains these trains always runs fully packed. Only during peak season Indian railway runs karwar special.I dont understand if daily many peaople travels in kokan kanya and has more people left out to travel then why more trains are not introduced. Mamta bernerjee if you want to justify your seat then do something about tickets reservation of tatkal tickets instead of providing facilities in introducing unwanted trains.I do my booking thru mobile with ngpay application for booking tatkal tickets and i was succesful 90% times.Instead of relying on irctc website do try ngpay application for booking tatkal tickets you may get more success in getting tickets then irctc website. I recently booked my two tickets from kudal to mumbai through ngpay application for sun evening train as i had to rejoin my off on mon. I was succesful in getting tickets booked at 8.05am and that too i booked when i was travelling in a bus at the ghats near rajapur.There are sepearate webite for agents known as oxicash.in where they pay 10000 rs in advance and used as prepaid facility. This site directs to the replica of irctc after thier login and they can log on to the site with all the details of train, passengers till final payment option before 8am.At sharp at 8 am they do the payment and these agents get the tickets booked at 8.02am.But layman people cannot afford to use this facility. irctc is hopless site especially from 08 am to 10 am it is not opening at all. The site is being blocked from miscrents. No use for common public for tatkal booking.

IRCTC — Unable to book ticket in tatkal

This is very unfair thing that no one individual can book the ticket in tatkal as it was practically happens between 8:00AM to 8:30AM or even 8:00AM to 8:10AM 2 days prior to the date of departure. Since the website is being hacked or blocked just for personal interest rather for public, No one is able to book ticket bduring the said time slot.

I request you to all the authorities, kindly give your honest attention over this issue. I shall be oblised to you on the behalf of every indian who are facing this kind of crisis.

It is true that IRCTC site is blocked between 8 to 9 AM. I have tried by best to make Tatkal booking but failed.

It seems there is a big lobby doing it & generating black money.

some agents are engaged by irctc they distributed the agency by taking lots of money to all cyber cafe agents and after that they close the link for them who are already pay the agency price.but in india it should happen openly that more over a month no one can book ticket from 0800am to 09am, but till date no action taken from irctc, there are a big scam over there, some body should take the responsibility,

There is definite problem. And problem is same for all who want to book tickets through irctc accept agents registered on this site.

Now the bigger problem is that who will listen our problem?. Media already exposed the issue... nothing happened, no one even took notice. RTI itself also not intended to look in the matter.

Now the solution is to take care of ourself. If needs tickets for a very short time like tatkal, approach to any minister... they only can do this. They are our unspeaking media, RTI and all.

This is our country India... every simple problem is delimma here... do nothing or dare to do something which can never be a do noting.
