[Resolved]  Irctc — Unable to book Tatkal tickets

For booking the tatkal tickets they should find some alternative to replace with...
Like for example once a customer finds that the regular ticket is not available they should be able to mail
to the irctc site for the tatkal tickets so that the customer who is sending the mail first should be able to geet the tatkal ticket first.And they can sent the acknowlefgement to the mobile or mail so that we wil get notigfied whether we get the ticket or not

IRCTC — blocking of site at tatkal

I am a customer of IRCTC . My complaint is that when ever we r booking online tatkal ticket in morning 8:00 am the is fully blocked. and the site is not open we r unable to book a tatkal ticket because of agents.. every where is corruption agents give money to IRCTC officers to do block the site and they book ticket unauthorisely. please do something about this matter. we r very frustrated about the site and service of IRCTC.

Nothing is done. Still things are exactly same. This is clear cut eye wash. Full of corruption. I am facing same problem today. Only way to put this forward is to get the information through RTI & then put the same for redresser's.

the agents sitting at the window earn a lot in these days and the general public have to suffer. firstly out of the total seats in train half the seats are reserved remaining seats are booked by bookiesand on top of it the TC that get an additional chance to earn.

Can any one explain me this calculation.
book tickets 90 days in advance?
on cancelling ticket 40 per pax?
tatkal booking 2 days?
cancelation of tatkal no refund?
empty seats in train sold by TC?
number of tatkal seats in train depends on what?
i feel its better to search for a corrupt person to get ticket booked then to sincerely try.

This is really annoying to know from one of the article that says "IRCTC tatkal booking is only meant for agents" I was trying to book tatkal tickets from 8 a.m till 9 a.m and had no sucess as if some one has blocked this website for first one hour.

Having privelage of booking online is defenately a boon, saying that IRCTC has to take this step to avoid discrimination between people only to earn money.

If not done always consider this is just another scam in india like others happening daily!!!!!

Please note that even reservation is computerised if you want to get Confirmed Tatkal ticket you want approach the agents . . . they having tie up with employees and give us tickets... i am usually using their service... no other way ...GREAT INDIA ...Only from 9.00 am web access given for Tatkal Booking...

I agree with the all the comment Posted. Indian Railways is not that much poor as if it cannot afford high speed dedicated servers and other infrastructure and the required manpower. It has earned good revenue and given good bonus to employees.The major share of the Revenue comes from the passengers too. Then why disappoint passengers like us who cannot plan travel in advance.Internet booking through Tatkal option(8AM-9AM on everyday) is just a mere eye wash. The Govt. and esp. Railway Ministry is deaf, dumb and blind to all this fiasco. Are they favouring some...It is nothing short of Atrocity. We people should write to Press and the opposition party, so that a meaningful solution would come out of discussion.

IRCTC — Not being able to book tatkal ticket

I have been trying to book tatkal ticket through IRCTC for many days now but everytime it says that cannot book till 8 AM when the time is way past 8 AM and when you can open the site all the tickets are already booked. Thus, a common man cannot book tatkal tickets.

This trafficking of tatkal bookings has been going on for a while since I have many more complaints through people. It is not expected from a premier service of our country.

It is painful to note that, the tatkal ticket can't be utilized nor refunded. This system is very worst in Railway department. When I was travelling from Veraval to Mumbai, I missed the connection train Sayaji Express, as Somnath Express departed very late from Veraval and reached Ahmedabad at 6.15 a.m. instead of 4.a.m. on[protected]. Hence I missed Sayaji Express (dep.time 5.30 a, m) & could not utilize the tatkal ticket from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. This is absolutely the Railway's fault.

I am an NRI and I was trying for the past three days and facing the same problem. Site stops responding from 8 AM. As soon as it starts responding there are no tatkal tickets available. This can't be a coincidence for 3 consequetive days. Now giving up.

In 2010, I don't beleive that Indian Railways cannot provide even a simple thing like fair and transparent online reservation of tickets. I am sure that either the IT infrastructure of this site is severly incompetent or the IRCTC web site operators are trying to make extra buck (bribes!) from agents by providing restricted access to select people/agents.

India is on path of becoming a superpower! No way at this rate. I think looking at this, it is a big joke.

The system if logged in before 8 am says you can book tatkal tickets only after 8 am even at 8.05 am.If I login after 8 am it says service is unavailable.By luck if logged in after 10 mts and there is still availability, when I click book, no movement is seen and after some time it is logged out and my one hour time is wasted.This is my experience many a time.This is a service rendered by a biggest PSU in our democratic country where many IT professional are born and write programmes for even Microsoft.

the site has a software that allows agent to feed passenger data the previous data and later the next day the tickets get booked at sharp 8 am
this company is located at Varanasi..

Tried since morning 8am to 9.50am could not even logon to https://irctc.co.in.
Recently I saw news in AAJ Tak saying that agents are using software to record and play ticket booking exactly at 8am and within few seconds agents are able to book lot of tickets with the help of the software. Besides website being jammed with traffic for others looking to book the tickets.

After Mamta Banerjee came Indian Railways things got worse and Railways even loosing revenue...

sabse pehle to tatkal system hi khatam kar do.AGENT to baad me loote hai, Sabse pehle to railway ne hi lootna suru kiya. tatkal k naam per 100/ se 300/- tak charge karti hai.aur kabhi kisi ko koi karan se yatra cancell karni hoti hai to ek paisa bhi vaapas nahi milta.is TATKAL KA faida sirf railway ko hi hota hai. SARKAR KA kaam hota hai, nafakhori ko rokna, lekin yahan to khud sarkar hi KALA BAZARI KARTI HAI.
JIS desh ki SARKAR KARE KALA BAZARI, US DESH KI PRAJA KAREGI JARUR CHORI.

ISLIYE TATKAL SEWA BANDH KARO. NAA RAHEGI BAANS..NAA BAJEGI BAANSURI.

Its completely a waste site... all the time it is down... or not working...Please improve it or redesign...

IRCTC — Tatkal ticket booking blocked at 8 am

I wanted to book tickets through tatkal facility on 11th May 2011, but the site stopped responding at exactly 8 am which is the booking time. The website becomes slow at around 7.45 and stops responding between 8 and 8.30 am.

If we go to an agent they are able to get the tickets as informed by some agents we contacted. How is that possible. My grandfather has expired and i wanted to visit delhi as soon as possible. There is something fishy and cooking between the railways and the agents.

I want to know why tickets are not booked for individuals and they can be booked by agents.

there is some serious scam is going on with irctc network.we have continously noticed that at morning time 8 Am - 10 Am you cannot book any ticket.everytime it will give some error.i have discussed this with many friends all of them are facing this kind of problems.
i would say indian railways is worst in the world.we have so many trains with a giant rail network but we cannot book a ticket easily.everytime you have to pay bribe to any railway booking officer.these bull officers will make railway bankrupt one day.
Something serious needs to be done against thiese scams.

Yes I agree. They do some kind of jamming to prevent the ordinary people to book tatkal ticket. The tickets get finished within 15mins of opening of counter. During this time no net booking is possible. Quese are so long, by the time we reach the counter the tatkal tickets are finished.

Only the agents are able to book the tickets and they charge Rs 250 per ticket. This is only encouraging the agents and we people resign to the fact that we cannot book tickets in tatkal thro net.

Its pain that NO public will get IRCTC Tatkal tickets by using Inter NET. IRCTC is want to help thire Agents only. So they are not bother about public. Lot of way is ther to improve speed of software now days. but the deleberetly keep this software in poor perfamance to make agents money. GMAIL, FACEBOOK and YAHOO is have billens of people for fast caht and vidoe caht at time without ant errors. Why is not possaible only in IRCTC? are u any one thinking its not know by top management of IRCTC? every one know but they dont bother about us. Its INDIA so this is like that only. Its pain to communicate this since I am suffering every week.

custmer ne complain kiya ki agent tatkal ticket paise jayada lete hai. coart me kesh kiya gaya. janch ki gayi pata chala ki agent paise jyada lete hai. agent ko tatkal booking ke liye. 8 se 9 ke beech kar diya gaya. pata nahin kis area me paisa jyada liya gaya tha jiski wajah se sub agent ko band kar diya gaya. ek machhali ki wajah se sara talab ganda ho gaya. custmer aaj bhi seasion ka ticket pahle jyada paise de kar ticket le ja rahi hai ab. dalalee har station par hai. shyad ab achha kam se kam station pe bhir to ho rahi. samajh me ki bhaiya sarkari counter hai.
