[Resolved]  MCD Malaria Control Department — Garbage and Water accumulation for Mosquitoes breeding

Address:South Delhi, Delhi

Dear Sir,
Having failed with MCD and DDA,in spite of several written communications to them, this is the mere hope for help through you,if you can do some thing.

I am a resident of 9/1 Sarva Priya Vihar, and owner of the house too.The construction is almost 22 years old, and , on the North side of the house there is a DDA park. The park is separated from our house with a boundary wall all along, except at one portion where the provision of taking equipments for maintenance of park, has been kept by a 24 hrs.locked gate, right from the beginning.

Based on some personal favours to some residents,DDA has constructed one more wall all along our earlier existing wall, leaving a gap for collection of water and garbage.During this rains so much water got accumulated that it had to be drained out by making a hole in the wall. The water and garbage collectively has given very favourable platform for Mosquitoes to grow and develop.
I wrote several letters to MCD health care dept.and after seeing and examining they have said that we should pursue with DDA.The officers at DDA do not hear even when several letters have been written to them. What more during the recent visit of Mrs Kiran Walia, the problem was brought to her notice by my son in front of an ex-parliamentarian Sh Rajesh Khanna, but even that did not work.
Lot of foreigners and influential people stay in our colony and this is becoming a major health hazard for all residents and tourists in the guest houses in the colony.
You can inspect the site with your reporters and see that apart from a funny look they have made a Mosquitoes reservoir in the park. The photographs and the copies of my earlier complaints to MCD and DDA,can be given to you on demand.Kindly bring it to the notice of those sensible people in the concerned dept.who can really take some corrective measures.

Thanks
A.K.Wadhera

Construction of double wall all along with existing boundry wall in street no 9 in the DDA park, leaving a big gap between two for water and garbage accumlation for Mosquitoes breeding.

dear sir,
i inform to you some water blocking aginst 58 a.c.k near masjid dengu is birth fresh water there
kind attention and take proper action.some persion block road by concreat.
In the capacity of the President of the Residents’ Welfare Association of Shyam Enclave Dinpur Najafgarh, let me draw your attention to the unhygienic sanitary condition prevailing in the locality, which need the immediate attention of the Municipality.
The stagnant waters, the foul smelling drains, have made life very miserable for the residents. They are not cleared for weeks. The stagnant pools of water have become a breeding place for flies and mosquitoes. An epidemic is expected any moment due to the unhygienic conditions here.
Complaints lodged at the local office proved futile. The situation still remains the same. If immediate steps are not taken to improve the sanitary conditions of the locality, the life of the residents will be in danger.
Kindly take necessary steps to improve the situation of Shyam Enclave and make the arrangement of Mosquito Medicine & fog machine in week of every Month.

Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,

(Krishan Bhargava)
