[Resolved]  Reliance General Insurance — Non-Receipt of Insurance Papers

Dear Consumer Forum,

I took Insurance Policy from Relaince General Insurance on 25th May 2010.
I have neither recieved the hard copy of Insurance papers not the Soft copy.

The soft copy that I have received on 05th August 2010, has wrong CAR registration number.

The Covernote had the right CAR registration number, but the policy ahs wrong Registration number.

After repeated calls (I am not Insured as I do not have policy with me and the Covernote has expired), they have reverted and told me to send the RC papers of the car. They have blatantly told that they cannot resolve the issue for another 7 days.

I paid the insurance amount 2 months 10 days back and I have still not received my Insurance copy and my car is not insured.

This is blatant abuse of a customer and his trust.

Find attached the 'Covernote' and the RC Book.

1. I signed the covenote on 26th May 2010. The Covernote expired on 26th July.

2. I contacted your customer care much before the expiry and asked about my Insurance papers.
I was told I wil recieve the Soft-Copy within a day and Hard-Copy within 7 days.

3. I neither received the Soft-copy nor the Hardcopy after 7 days.

4. Contacted the customer care after 7 days. I was told I wil receive the soft copy within a day.
I did not receive it again for 5 days.

5. Contacted Customer care again today and was told, I will receive the soft-copy today.
Received it , but WITH WRONG CAR REGISTRATION number.

EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING -

1. I paid the insurance amount more than 2 months back .
Why was I not provided the soft copy or the Hard copy of my Insurance ?

2. How is it possible that the Cover letter has the right Car registration number and the Insurance copy sent to me (soft copy) has a different number?

3. How am I suposed to deal with the situation wherein, I am asked for the insurance copy by Police and I do not have one after 2 months of payment?

4. Where is the hard copy of my Insurance papers whilst the Covernote has already expired?

Now please answer the following questions -

Sir,
I have purchased a scooter policy no.[protected] on dt.[protected], and also a claim passed of Rs.3697/- as per your company sms service given me on[protected] and tell me that your claimed had been passed and a cheque no 831069 dated[protected] has been recd. during 07 days.

but still i am waiting and contact to customer care, theey have a ladge a complaint and regd. no is that 1457103 dt.[protected] but not responding 29-09-10 so i again contact to customer care and they give me Telephone number that is 30913448 and tell me contact to Mr. Pritam or Mr. Sanjay for further information.

I contact on the above number and tell the problem to Mr. Pritam singh he said to me that check had been dispatched and you confirm me your address. i tell him my address as H.no 40-B, Second floor, Inderparstha colony Sector:-30/33, Faridabad.

after verification Mr, Pritam Singh tell that sorry that the dispatch address is not correct on the regd.envolpe so the check has been returned after then we all send the check.

so pl. tell how many take the time and what is my galti .

I bought an insurance policy for my car ref. No, motorcopsVRN/0000933/01/2011 dated 25/01/2011. The name in the insurance document is written wrongly as Pushpinder Sondhi instead of Vivek sondhi.
